Shore Staked her First Claim to Fame While Still at School, on Nashville Radio. Further Broadcasting and Theatre Engagements Soon Followed in New York. Her Smoky Low-pitched Voice was Especially Attractive on Slow Ballads and She Had a String of Some 80 Hits, a Number of which Are Gathered Here on this Ultimate Collection. Includes 'skylark' and the Number One Hits 'i'll Walk Alone' and 'the Gypsy' Amongst Others.

THE EDITORIAL DATA STATES THAT THIS COMPILATION BRINGS TRACKS FROM THE 40'S ETC. WELL, IT DOES NOT, IT IS IN FACT A BRITISH COMPILATION FROM HER CAPITOL PERIOD (1959 - 1961) WICH INCLUDES TRACKS FROM ALBUNS THAT SHE RECORDED WITH NELSON RIDDLE, ANDRE PREVIN AND RED NORVO. QUITE GOOD IN FACT.MOSTLY BALLADS. ALAS SOME OF THE ORIGINAL INDIVIDUAL ALBUNS ARE AVAIABLE TROUGH THE ENGLISH EMI DOUBLE EDITIONS, (DINAH SINGS PREVIN PLAYS, YES INDEED ETC)CHECK IT OUT.
