About the Artist
Artist Biography: Troy, was one of the originators of the musical video clip concept. The 1224 N. Vine Street studio where the early Troy Cory shows were taped, also played host, under Troy's ownership, to such well known performers as Rod Stewart; Jackson Browne; Randy Meisner (The Eagles); Tom Petty; The Bee Gees; James Coburn (Schlitz); and even McDonald's, Ronald McDonald.

Troy's grandfather, Nathan B. Stubblefield, is recognized as the inventor of the radio. His voice that broadcast the words, "Hello, Rainey" across the swampy Kentucky woods in 1882, were the first words transmitted, any where in the world, without wires. Today Stubblefield's former farm is the campus of Murray State University, where a marker commemorating the historic achievement was dedicated two years after his death in 1928. The radio station in Murray, Kentucky, carries his initials, WNBS.
