The specific content of this CD is well described under the product and in other reviews. What I could add is that the sound sample is very representative of the content. There is not a lot of variety, which is a good thing for meditation and relaxation depending upon your needs and preferences. When you listen to this for an extended period of time, the sound of the ocean, heart beats, etc. seems to synchronize the bodies rhythms without any effort on the part of the listener. This is CD is well thought out and put together. Highly recommended.

This is amazing to breathe into labor pains .... the sound of the dolphins and water ease the pain creating great relaxation leading into a meditative state !

Used it when my son was born.......2004-01-27

I first purchased this CD YEARS ago - long before I was married or thinking of having children, just because I was looking for some soothing medition music. Then, I read the info about the CD and found it that it was recommended to be played during childbirth. I always held onto this CD and hoped to use it when I had a child. I did "hypnobirthing" when my son was born in 2002, and listened to this CD nightly while my husband and I practiced our hypno-birthing techniques for a couple of months prior to our son being born; and while I was in labor, the combination of the soothing sounds on this tape, and my husband's hypno-birthing coaching kept me calm, cool and collected throughout the birthing process. Today, my son is 15 months old and has had this CD playing continuously during nap time and sleep time - it helps sooth him and blocks outside noises from his room. I don't know what I would have done without this CD! We love it!

Ocean Dreams is the most calming and relaxing cd I have ever owned! It makes you feel as if you're sitting on the beach, just gazing up at the beautiful night sky. If you have trouble falling asleep at night, then I suggest buying this cd. You won't regret it!

This CD was given to me as a gift from a dear friend, and what an amazing gift it was! Evenson's music invites the listener into a deep state of connectedness...at first a gentle beckoning that soons envelopes one in total peace. The meditative (and often joyful) sound of Evenson's flute and the energizing flow of water are punctuated by the enchanting communications of dolphins and whales, inviting us to remember our deepest connection to all of life.

As a Reiki practitioner, I find this CD invaluable to my healing music collection. Evenson's work is unique and inspired and definitely sets a standard in the New Age genre. Even those who don't typically like New Age music should give this a listen. There is much to discover in Evenson's work. His intention to create "Peace Through Music" is evident in every track. Let the joy envelope your heart!

Wonderful relaxation with beautiful music and sounds.......2005-04-20

This was my first Dean Evenson CD and has started a snowballing collection - I love this guy! This CD is *VERY* relaxing and will calm you down right away. I have PTSD and used it during my worst times - it brought me back down to earth and got me relaxed. One note - do not use while driving. It's a little TOO relaxing for that. The ocean and ocean animal sounds are perfect and work wonderfully with the music. Well worth it!!

Just RELAX!.......2004-03-10

Used it during my pregnancy and labor, then to sooth our baby to sleep. Our "baby" (now 9) loves this disc and other Dean Evenson material. We play it every night or as we head to nap time and he happily drops off to sleep. I've bought copies for his pre-school and daycare. It relaxes the kids and was guaranteed to get a room full of toddlers snoring in no time.

This is my favorite baby gift and I've also bought copies for friends and massage therapists. This CD is very special: pure relaxation.

Soothing, Relaxing and Refreshing.......2000-05-13

The sounds of the dolphins, ocean birds, and waves, intermingled with the soothing sounds of guitar, paino, and various percussion instruments provides for a very relaxing musical journey!

I have this CD constantly playing at work, yet I never seem to tire of listening to it.

The magic of these compositions allow one to completely relax and it will really take the edge off, if an edge needs to be taken off :-)

If you enjoy new age music and/or piano, you will not be disappointed in this CD. It is guaranteed to soothe and put you in a great mood!

The title cut, Dolphin Dreams and the third track, In Harmony, have got to be my favorite tracks, and yet, the following tracks are all equally as good.

Dolphin Dreams will not disappoint! Just let the music take you away!

Dolphin Quest fits comfortably into the "Tranquility Tunes" genre. A totally relaxing adventure in acoustical instrumentation with a gentle touch of synthesizer intermingled with natural dolphin "vocals". A heavenly experience.

Johnny Moore's Three Blazers survived the late 1940s defection of their frontman, Charles Brown, to continue well into the next decade with the same musical sound and a variety of vocalists. This package features three of the best; Mari "Mauri" Jones, Frankie Ervin and "Lex" Nelson Alexander, along with Blazers musical stalwarts Oscar Moore and Eddie Williams.

Repertoire here is drawn, wherever possible, from original Modern and Dolphin tapes and acetates, and includes many previously unissued recordings and/or takes.

Virtually none of this repertoire has been reissued in the CD era - and the sound quality is astounding.

A long overdue follow-up to Ace's first - and equally recommended - Three Blazers CD, "Drifting And Dreaming".
