Gold assembled a handful of knowns and unknowns to make special cameos on this melodic and fun collection of original and classic Halloween tunes with a pop-rock bent. Among the haunted are David Cassidy, Karla Bonoff, Linda Ronstadt, Stephen Bishop, Nicolette Larson, and Gold's children and wife. From the Beatlesesque touches of "It Must Be Halloween" (parts seemingly lifted from "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite") to Boris Karloff's "Monster Mash" and "The Addams Family" theme song, Gold and company offer up treats that kids and their parents will like, including the "Ghostbusters" theme. Halloween Howls.......2007-01-11

This is a wonderful CD to play during the Halloween season. My children enjoyed it as we traveled in the car and now I give it to my nephews and families with young children. The provider did not package them well enough and one was broken. Unfortunately, the case was intact so I gave it as a gift not knowing the CD was broken. My sister-in-law had to tell me. Since I didn't have the product in hand, I was unable to return it for a new one or refund. That would make me hestiant to buy something like this again from Amazon.com.

Halloween Fun.......2007-01-10

I needed a CD for a children's halloween party. This was perfect. It was fun for both adults and kids. My daughter and I listened to it every day before halloween and began memorizing the songs. We had a lot of fun with it.

Andrew Gold's Halloween Howls is a delight! This is great Halloween music for the whole family. My son brought it to his second grade school Halloween party and I was told by 5 or 6 mothers that they were going to buy a copy since their children had raved so much about it. I sent copies to my brother and sister and they love it. (my sister doesn't even have kids but she loved it anyway.)

Andrew Gold I learned from the notes on the CD, was a main driving force behind the Linda Rohnsted (sp?) band. And he left the rock and roll world to be more of a family man. Apparently however you can't keep that kind of talent under wraps for long and he started recording songs for the children.

"Creature From the Tub" is the favorite around this house but all songs are loved.

If you have kids... buy this CD.
If you know someone who had kids... buy this CD.
If you just like fun family oriented things and Halloween is coming up... buy this CD.

Seriously, this is and excellent compilation of family oriented Halloween music.

A Nice Halloween CD for kids.......2007-01-04

Although I have a ton of Halloween music, I was looking for something fun to share with my 4-year old son. Most Halloween music CDs seem to focus on scary scound effects, dark lyrics, or lyrics just too complex for a small child to understand so I am very happy with the purchase of this CD. My son really enjoys it too. It's fun to listen to with a nice mix of playful music and would be great background for a kids Halloween party.

Be sure to check out "Spooky Sounds for Halloween" as well. We both liked that one too (it's a little better than this one--but we like them both very much).

My 10 month old son lved to listen to this CD. I also really enjoyed the songs-they are very creative and I didn't mind that they would get stuck in my head. I can't wait to play it again next fall.
