Father of five children, pop musician Kenny Loggins follows up 1994's highly successful Return to Pooh Corner with this More Songs collection. "Your Heart Will Lead You Home," the title track for Disney's animated Tigger Movie, leads off. Cowritten with Disney's legendary songwriting Sherman Brothers, "Your Heart" sets the tone for what is to come: a various-source compilation of clean, classic family fare in the tradition of The Jungle Book, Winnie the Pooh, and Beauty and the Beast. "Flying Dreams," a ballad from The Secret of Nimh beautifully pairs the artist with Olivia Newton-John. Loggins's original "Always, in All Ways" tenderly champions unconditional parental love, and "That'll Do" from Randy Newman's score for Babe: Pig in the City is a welcome treat. "Turn Around" and "The Inchworm" sound a more nostalgic note, rounding out More Songs into a truly lovely collection. --Paige La Grone

5 out of 5 stars Love Pooh Corner!.......2006-11-28

We bought this for our four-year old daughter after we borrowed it from the library and fell in love with it. The lyrics are very soothing and it calms her down for bedtime. It's also great for background music for her playdates...less fighting over toys! I've always liked Kenny Loggins, but this is one of his best!

5 out of 5 stars Not just for little babies.......2006-06-12

As a professional deejay, I purchased this album because a father wanted to dance to "Turn Around" at his daughter's wedding reception. I fell in love with it myself. My babies are grown but I gave the album to my oldest daughter several months before she got married. As the flute on the opening track invites you to "count all the bees in the hive, chase all the clouds from the sky ..." and each song relays the sentiment to my older children that I would like to say to them myself. This album makes a great wedding gift, baby shower gift, graduation gift or for any occasion that you would like to let your children know they are loved and you're there for them.

5 out of 5 stars Beautifully Soothing Complement to Return To Pooh Corner.......2006-03-18

I wanted this CD because I really like the song "Your Heart Will Lead You Home" that Kenny Loggins co-wrote and sang for the Tigger Movie. The imagery is simply beautiful. As I listened to the rest of the CD, I found that I especially liked Mr. Loggins version of one of the most comforting lullaby's BABY MINE and the song he wrote with Mark Mancina that sends a child off into the world with love ALWAYS IN ALWAYS. It is quite soothing.

* This CD would be the "cool-down" after Return To Pooh Corner or a difficult day. Having lived with overtired two year olds before...
* It is a great nursery gift
* I could see giving this CD for the song Always in All Ways to the high school senior along with Dr. Seuss' Oh The Places You Will Go (in private of course! It is quite sentimental but alone in your room contemplating the amazing changes sentimental can be kind of nice) the night before he or she goes off to college.

To me this CD is a part of the first CD not meant to completely repeat Return To Pooh Corner, but to complement it.

5 out of 5 stars Just as good as the first.......2005-12-06

In my opinion, this CD is just as good as "Return to Pooh Corner." It is the perfect CD for bedtime or just when you want some quiet time with your children. The songs are sweet and includes some "classics" from Beauty and the Beast and Willy Wonka which is nostalgic to me. My 4 year old daughter is LOVES the first song which sends a message about the value of family and friendship. Can't go wrong with this CD!

5 out of 5 stars Great baby gift!.......2005-11-29

This album tops return to Pooh Corner. I love both of them! "Baby mine" is wonderful. "Turn around" will flat out put you in tears. Both albums make great baby shower gifts! I give them to all new parents I know. The songs are so soothing for a little one and so touching for the parents. I know it's been a while since they were released but they are just timeless. I have wonderful memories of bonding with each one of my kids to this cd.
