Radio Disney: Kid Jams
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
Radio Disney is a nationally syndicated children's program, and Radio Disney: Kid Jams pulls together 17 of the show's "greatest hits." It's a cornucopia of high-energy, parent-approved pop and classics from The Lion King and Mulan. Represented are teen idols (the Backtsreet Boys, Hanson), hip-hop (Technotronic, MC Hammer, and a Mickey-ized version of Tag Team's "Whoomp! (There it Went)"), dancefloor (2 Unlimited, "Macarena"), silly favorites (Weird Al Yankovic, I-8-Paste), and even James Brown. There's a lot to like about a compilation that draws no divisions between Yankovic's "Yoda" (a takeoff on the Kinks' "Lola"), Sponge's take on the Speed Racer theme, Steve Vai's cover of "Wipeout," and the Hardest Working Man in Show Business (Brown). The only complaint here is that some parents may resent getting "Macarena" stuck in their heads again. --Randy Silver
People
This hour-long CD of Radio Disney's most-requested songs features classic rockers like James Brown's "I Got You (I Feel Good)," as well as novelty tunes including "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Yoda."

Radio Disney: Kid Jams.......2005-08-09
I love the music on this CD because it takes popular music and makes it suitable for children... a very fun and festive selection of songs! Kids love it too!
I would buy this for my nieces.........2004-08-09
The track listing on here is fairly good, with Steve Vai, James Brown, and many other popular performers (hopefully after hearing these musicians, my nieces will begin to find less worthy children's "music" such as Kidz Bop as musically tedious and unsatisfying as the rest of my family does, and I admit that, even as a 27 year old woman I have recently found myself tuning into Radio Disney (to become familiar with and "hip to" what my nieces like and listen and actually enjoying much of what I hear. Much of what is on this CD and channel appeals to adults and children alike, making them so much better than so much other "family" music. I recommend this to anyone who has kids in their lives, as this music remains totally appropriate, but is not watered-down "kiddie" music that talks down musically to your kids.
Kids 5 to 10 agree it's great.......2003-03-21
I work in a before and after school progream and we own all the the Radio Disney Cd's. My 1st - 5th graders love it. They know the songs from radio and the disney channel, and I don't have to worry about inappropriate lyrics.
this is the best radio disney cd out.......2003-02-25
in my opinion this is the best cd radio disney put out. there are a few songs that i could do without but the majority of them are great. the kids love it and the parents enjoy it also. nice up beat songs that will get you and the kids moving! ENJOY!
kids listen to it a lot........2002-08-20
The kids are always listen to the radio disney cd's. We have 3 out of the 4 that are available. They seem to really enjoy the variety of music on it. A lot of it is really fun to dance to. My Daughters especially enjoy the dancing. The boys like the humor in some of the songs.

Super Songs.......2006-11-29
Even though some of the songs were from the Lizzie McGuire soundtracks, this volume of the Radio Disney Jams series contains great hits for all Radio Disney fans to enjoy. I give the 6th volume an overall 10.
I Can't Wait - Heard on the Lizzie McGuire soundtrack, this song was totally cool. Hilary Duff, you rule!
Dig It - Heard from the movie, Holes, I sure can dig this song.
Up, Up, Up - Rose Falcon's song was upbeat and totally catchy. I love it!
You're The One - It was good. For one thing, Radio Disney is the station to rely on for the hottest hits.
The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) - Heard on the Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack, it's a really hip song. Although I have to tell you I also liked the original Blondie version.
Sing A Simple Song - Hampton and the Hampsters rock! This is my very favorite song of all in this volume! Just like "The Hampster Dance," my body can't control itself when my ears hear this catchy tune!
All I Can Do - It's a totally cool song. I like the chorus.
That's So Raven - This is really the theme song from the Disney Channel original series of the same name.
Us Against The World - A super song, another Lizzie McGuire hit to jam to.
Don't Stop Movin' - S Club 7's song can really get ya swingin' to the music! You won't wanna stop movin' to this song!
My Baby - This is sung to the tune of a Jackson 5 song. I would have wanted to give it a 9, but it ended up with a 10 instead.
Last One Standing - Triple Image is awesome! Girls, as well as boys, are sure to get into this song like I did.
You Make Me Feel Like A Star - This song really does want to make you feel like a star. It's one of my favorite hits, especially from the Lizzie McGuire Movie soundtrack.
All For Love - The song by Stevie Brock was totally great. What else can I say about it?
Floorfiller - I can't believe they saved this song for last. This A-teens song, also heard in Pop 'Til You Drop, can really get ya dancin'!
This is a must-have Radio Disney CD to add to your collection. It's one of the very best, even if they repeated songs from other albums.
Great CD.......2006-02-18
Radio Disney Jams 6 is ok. As mentioned before, most of the songs are from the Lizzy McGuire soundtracks. If you are a boy and you are embarrassed to buy the Lizzy McGuire soundtracks, you can use Jams 6 as an alternate to get some of the popular songs that are from the Lizzy McGuire soundtracks. I like the fact that they included #1 hit songs from artists like Rose Falcon, A-Teens, and S Club 7. Would recommend this CD.

From the airwaves of "the mouse brand" on the AM dial into your home stereo comes a slice of Radio Disney's top cuts. Packaging the high-rotation hits of its very limited playlist, Radio Disney Jams, Vol. 3 is long on teen pop stars and--surprise!--short on substance. That won't make it any less satisfying for your precocious 7 year old who thinks Britney Spears ("Thinkin' About You") is pop music, or that Smash Mouth's "All Star" contains one of the catchiest rock lyrics to hit the mass medium of radio in a long time. With Destiny's Child's "Jumpin' Jumpin' (Party Mix)" and that wacky and annoying "Hampster Dance Song," plus The Vengaboys aerobic workout of "We Like to Party" and other cuts from Vitamin C, Myra, Nobody's Angel, BBMak, Tik 'n Tak, and even the ever-tasty blues-laced Radio Disney station ID (complete with snippets of their affected DJs), Jams Vol. 3 is proof again that contemporary pop music needs to grow up faster than the kids who are listening to it. --Martin Keller
Customer Reviews:
Totally Radio Disney!.......2006-11-29
This is the very first Radio Disney CD I ever purchased. Unlike all the other volumes, when one song ends the next song begins, crossfading over the ending of the previous one. There are no silent interval pauses before the next track starts - this album is like the Radio Disney station on a CD! The music is non-stop, you will love all the songs. I liked every one of them and my very favorites include "The Hampster Dance," "All Star," "Mamma Mia," and "Vacation." I gave each track on this CD a perfect 10, so overall, Jams 3 gets a perfect score of 10!
This is what I have to say about each song.
Back Here - This BBMak hit is totally great.
Mamma Mia - This is my second favorite song in this volume. The A-teens were a big hit at that time when their ABBA Generation CD came out.
All Star - The third best song. Smash Mouth's song totally rocks!
How Do I Feel? - This "Burrito" song was good. What else can I say.
Jumpin' Jumpin' (Party Mix) - This is a more appropriate version when it comes to Radio Disney's music.
The Hampster Dance Song - BB Good, one of the Radio Disney DJ's, was right. This is "the very best song" of all! Every time I hear this song, I can't help but dance wildly to the music. This song makes me go absolutely crazy! This is my top favorite hit from this volume! It's a lot of fun!
Dance With Me (Radio Disney Edit) - For children, this version is more suitable for them to listen. Some of the lyrics are a bit different like "Let's have fun" instead of "Let's make love."
Thinkin' About You - This song by Britney Spears is really rockin'! But still, I wonder why they didn't include the Backstreet Boys like in the previous two volumes. They were a big hit just like Britney at that time.
We Like To Party - I don't know if this is "the perfect Radio Disney theme song," like Ernie D says, but this is another one of those songs that I go wild over. It really makes you move!
Don't Say You Love Me - This song can be heard in Pokemon, the First Movie. What more can I say about this song?
Vacation - Tied with "Mamma Mia" for my second favorite song, this is one of the hottest tracks in this volume! If I can remember correctly, this song can be heard in Pikachu's First Vacation. You'll want to get up, party, and vacation with this song.
Dancing In The Street - From Disney's Recess: School's Out, Myra's version of this golden oldie can really get ya jammin'! I'm still trying to figure out who the original artist of this song is.
If You Wanna Dance - This is more of a dance club hit than a Radio Disney song, but it's still good. It rocks!
Upside Down - I love this song! It can turn your party, well, upside down. What else?
Valentino - What an ending to an album like Radio Disney Jams 3! I don't know why they put this song in this volume, but I think one reason would be that it came out the day before Valentines Day.
To summarize, all songs on Radio Disney Jams 3 will get your party rollin'. There's no other volume in this series that is just like volume 3.
Good CD.......2006-02-23
Radio Disney Jams 3 is a good cd. The only thing I don't like about this cd is when a song begins, you hear the previous song just ending. Commonly called a crossfade with no break in between tracks. This would drive you crazy if you upload these songs to your iPod.
Good collection for young children.......2002-07-13
Most young children between 5-9 like pop music. Today's videos are too provocative, so my son doesn't get to see them. (I think they are for older kids anyway) The radio disney series offers many good pop songs that are not offensive. I highly recommend the whole series for this age group.
Better than the other two!.......2001-08-22
This is good for the third series in Radio Disney. My most favorite song is Tik N' Tak's "Upside Down". My other favorite songs on here are "How Do I Feel", "All Star", Jumpin' Jumpin', "Don't Say You Love Me", "Vacation", "Dancing In the Street" and "If you Wanna Dance". The Hampster Dance song is the worst on the entire cd and is a very childish song. I also don't like "Thinking About You" by Britney Spears and it's definitely time for her to start making a new album soon. This CD is good and I can't wait until the Jams Vol. 4 CD comes out in September.
Not as fun as the first two Kids Jams.......2001-05-30
My kids (6 & 9) love the Kids Jams 1 & 2, as well as La Vida Mickey. Part of what makes these collections fun is that they are a good mix of pop music & silly kid songs. The Vol. 3 is lacking in the "silly kid songs". It's predominantly pop songs and a little less appropriate mix than the previous CD's. The upside is that this CD contains the beloved "Hampster Dance". If you haven't bought any of the Kids Jams CD's, I would start with one of the first two, not this one.

Pretty Good..........2005-08-21
I bought this product 2-3 years ago and thought I'd write a review on it...
This CD is actually kind of good, even though I don't listen to this kind of stuff anymore... I think many ppl who listen to this will be satisfied...
1 was okay, it was catchy though...
2 was lame, I never listen to Aaron Carter, he sucks like hell!
3 was okay, though I never really liked it that much...
4 was good, though I liked Backstreet Boys' 'Incomplete' better.
5 was SO bad, I hated it, the artist 3LW was good in the Cheetah Girls, but NOT this!
6 was kinda lame, never liked it much, the song reminds of nerds, ha ha...
7 was okay, never liked to listen to it much though...
8 was good, there was this period when I LOVED it so much, not anymore now...
9 was okay, though it's annoying how they play it ALL the time in the Princess Diaries...
10 was annoying, I mean, WTH?
11 was... okay, I guess? But I never really got into it that much...
12 was... the same as 11...
13 was great! I have the remix for this song on my iPod...
14 was bad, it's also very annoying too!
15 was great! I just put this song on my iPod...
16 was great! I ALSO have this song on my iPod...
I used to listen to this stuff when I was probly 9-10 years old, that was when I started listening to music, but I like techno and other pop now that I know more about my music type... yea, and I'm 13... :)
Radio Disney.......2004-09-12
I think this CD is a great mix of songs. From songs about love, to songs from movies, to songs that just make you want to dance. I would definately recommend this CD. As far as I know, it is very appropriate and doesn't have anything bad on it.
I would especially recommend this CD to people who listen to the Radio Disney radio station. After all, that's where they got the songs from!
P.S. Please don't write a review just to tell me what's wrong with mine...thank you.
The CD with the most magic in it!.......2004-06-18
This CD gives you such a great, tingley, and magical feeling, than any other, when you listen to it! Out of all of the other disney and any other kind of CD (which is probably about 24) this is the best one!
They should put a rating for 5+!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2004-05-19
This CD is full of songs to dance to! Every song has the most wonderful beat! I just LOVE how, the people that made this, they put it together! Every song in the CD somehow bring the same attitude to it! I like the song "I'm Blue", but I don't thing it truly fits in the catagory of songs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW--Kids love it!.......2001-07-17
If you have children of any age in the house, you need this cd. I have three girls, ages 2, 4 and 6 and nephews ranging from 5 to 10. They all LOVE to put this on and dance. It keeps them occupied for hours. I bought this last year for my oldest daughter at Christmas, I plan on buying volumes two and three this year!

pretty good CD.......2002-08-28
This CD is pretty good. In between some songs, the DJs say all this stupid stuff and it gets very annoying after awhile. Here are the songs that are on it:
1. Back Here-I like this song.
2. Mamma Mia-This is by A*Teens, not ABBA, and I like A*Teen's version better.
3. All Star-This song is awesome!
4. How Do I Feel [The Burrito Song]-One of the best on the CD. Hoku is SO much better than Britney Spears.
5. Jumpin' Jumpin' [Party Mix]-I don't really like this one.
6. The Hampster Dance Song-This song is so cool!
7. Dance With Me [Radio Disney Edit]-It's okay. I think it's sort of stupid that they changed "let's make love" to "let's have fun". I dont think parents would really care about that.
8. Thinkin' About You-4 words....I Hate Britney Spears.
9. We Like to Party-ugh. This song is ANNOYING with a capital A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G!
10. Don't Say You Love Me-This is really pretty. I like it a lot.
11. Vacation-Vitamin C isn't my favorite, but this is pretty good.
12. Dancing in the Street-Somethin about this song annoys me.
13. If You Wanna Dance-It's OK.
14. Upside Down Radio Edit [Steve Jaimes Mix]-This is a cool song!
15. Valentino-this song is really funny. I think they could have ended it with a different song though, but this song is cool.
Overall, it's a pretty good CD. I think parents might get annoyed by the hampster dance and we like to party though.
How Can You Rate This Less Than 5?.......2001-08-18
I love this CD, just love it. And it's not just for kids, it includes cleaned up versions of popular songs, so the overplayed are now somewhat different, the best tacks are: 1. Back Here/BBMAK- Beautiful song by the popular boy band from the U.K. One of my very favorite boy band song, and the only compliation to feature them! 2. Mamma Mia/A*Teens- My fav A*Teens song. Very simple, but the most powerful vocals and tune of any ABBA cover they've released. 3. All Star/Smash Mouth- Sure they're exploiting us. I still like the song. 4. How Do I Feel [The Burrito Song]- Buy it for this song alone- Hoku is the ultimate pop singer, about 7,000 times better than Britney! I love every part of the song, the lyrics, the melody, the funky Hawaiian sound- you'll love it! 5. Jumpin' Jumpin' [Party Mix]/Destiny's Child- Very different from the girls' release. This one has much cleaner lyrics, but the same tune. Great when you just need a break from the album version. 8. Thinkin' About You/Britney Spears- Not on any other CD except "Baby.. One More Time." I strongly dislike Britney, but this is one of her better songs. 10. Don't Say You Love Me/ M2M- Completely written by the Norweigan pop duo. Beautiful song dedicated to a guy trying to rush them into a relationship. Beautiful song. The other tracks are very overproduced and directed basically at the very young. "Dance With Me" by Debelah Morgan sounds completely wrong, the "Let's make love!" line of the chorus is replaced with "Let's Have Fun!" and it just doesn't gel. A good compliation featuring otherwise hard to find singles. I would have been happier if they would have included the Christina Aguilera "Come On Over/Ven Conmigo" mix, but there's always next time.
A Good Compilation CD For Kids!.......2001-07-13
Most artists albums aren't sutible for all ages. So Disney took some good songs that everyone can hear regardless of what their age is. The songs are: 1. "Back Here" by BBMak- a great song with a catchy tune. 2. "Mamma Mia" by A*Teens- an ok remake of the ABBA classic. 3. "All Star" by Smash Mouth- A good debut single for the group. 4. "How Do I Feel" by Hoku- Don Ho's daughter's current single. 5. "Jumpin' Jumpin'" by Destiny's Child- good beat. 6. "The Hampster Dance"- funny, funny, funny. 7. "Dance With Me (edit)" by Debeleh Morgan- the version for kids 8. "Thinkin' About You" by Britney Spears- a good song. 9. "We Like To Party" by Vengaboys- catchy 10. "Don't Say You Love Me" by M2M- Wonderful song 11. "Vacation" by Vitamin C- A clever tune 12. "Dancing In The Street" by Myra- The best remake ever! 13. "If You Wanna Dance" by Nobody's Angel- A good first single 14. "Uside Down (Edit)" by Tik N' Tak- not bad 15. "Valentino" by Bowling For Soup- not the way I would end it but not bad. The hilight of the album is "Dancing in the Street" performed by Myra. Buy this for anyone under age 13! They'll love it!
Not as fun as the first two Kid Jams.......2001-06-20
My kids (6 & 9) love the Kids Jams 1 & 2, as well as La Vida Mickey. Part of what makes these collections fun is that they are a good mix of pop music & silly kid songs. The Vol. 3 is lacking in the "silly kid songs". It's predominantly pop songs and a little less appropriate mix than the previous CD's. The upside is that this CD contains the beloved "Hampster Dance". If you haven't bought any of the Kids Jams CD's, I would start with one of the first two, not this one.
Guaranteed to drive parents crazy........2001-06-10
Disney has put three of the most annoying and overexposed songs of the last two years--"All Star," "The Hampster Dance Song," and "We Like To Party!"--on one CD. Thanks a lot. And I'm sure parents will really appreciate that the "let's make love" line from "Dance With Me" was changed to "let's have fun." As if your average 5-year-old couldn't turn on the radio and hear stronger stuff any time of the day. Another warning: this CD's "Party Mix" of "Jumpin' Jumpin'" has very different lyrics from the Top 40 version.
Being a "Radio Disney" CD, we get some DJ patter between songs that is patently phony. One perky guy says, "Check this out! Myra's good luck charm is a BUTTERFLY that her MOM gave her!" Thanks for the scoop. All is not lost, however, as there are a few songs parents might even (secretly) grow to like: Hoku's "How Do I Feel" and Nobody's Angel's "If You Wanna Dance" are simple but solidly constructed songs that should appeal to most pop music lovers.
If you don't like someone and they have young children, give this CD to their kids and tell them "you'll really like song number 6!" That should get you your money's worth right there.
