If you've never tuned in to Radio Disney, you're probably living with yaks someplace on a mountainside. The kids' radio station grownups love to dislike, even while allowing it to play in the car and house (and inside their minds), relies heavily on an extremely tight play list. It's not true that Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, and Christina Aguilera secretly own the station; it just seems that they do, given all the spins they get. Radio Disney Jams, Vol. 2 picks up where last hour's programming left off, with some modified lyrics from Lou Bega on "Disney Mambo No. 5," substituting the name of leading Disney cartoon characters for the women he fancies in his original mambo superhit. Of course, there's Weird Al Yankovic spoofing Star Wars and "American Pie" (not the Madonna version) with "The Saga Begins." Queen's "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" are two eminently familiar anthems, thanks in part to their crossing over into every imaginable sport from hockey to bowling. Will Smith, Stevie Wonder, and 98 Degrees are all here. And those disco diehards, the Village People and Sister Sledge, will remind older parents how long ago the '70s really were. New artists, including Steps, Jason Raize, and Aaron Carter also fill out this 18-track tribute to the power of Disney brandcasting. --Martin Keller

My two daughters love this music and gets them dancing around. It is appropriate language for children and not annoying to adults.

Great CD.......2003-08-20

Of course it's from Disney so it's most always likely gonna be great. This is a great selection of songs for anyone with the kid in us. I listen to it over and over.

Great CD for All Ages.......2003-02-19

I bought this CD out of curiosity a couple of years ago and have found a whole new avenue of music. This CD is jammed with songs that I never get tired of listening to. My kids, 13 and 6, both beg to hear it every time we get in the car. I recommend it for all ages, young and young-at-heart! Since this first purchase, I have bought other Disney CD's and have never been disappointed!

The best dancing, singing, upbeat CD anywhere.......2003-02-09

This CD has some of the most fun to dance to and listen to songs ever. My kids have been listening to it for 3 years now and still are not tired of it. My (picky) son (now 6) and daughter (now 5) will both dance to it. Actually, it's a whole family event.

The night before my husband deployed to Bosnia, the whole family was depressed and down. Trying to liven things up so we wouldn't always remember the depressing last few moments with my husband, I put in this CD. Talk about brightening things up! We were all singing and dancing with everyone smiling. I still enjoy remembering that evening. It's all thanks to Radio Disney.

Only the miracle of Christmas, it seems, could bring Johnny Mathis and the Backstreet Boys together on one CD. In the spirit of Radio Disney's first holiday CD, Radio City Holiday Jams 2 promises to please preteens (and their parents, too) with an eclectic, even schizophrenic mix of old and new holiday songs. Particularly hipster-rific songs like Hilary Duff's "Santa Claus Lane" (sounds a bit like Liz Phair if you could picture her singing about open sleighs) intermingle with more old-fashioned hits like Burl Ives's rendition of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and Gene Autry's "Here Comes Santa Claus." No Secrets contributes the boppy "Go Girlfriend (Have a Merry Christmas)," B2K revisit "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" with some serious attitude (better not pout, man), and we accompany the Ghost of Christmas Past to witness the Jackson 5 singing "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus." Forget the sugarplums--this inventive holiday CD will have you and your kids dancing. --Karin Snelson

This is a GREAT Holiday CD! Everyone should own a copy, it's a GREAT Way to bring Holiday Music into any home, and is even great to listen to in the car! Its even great for all ages!

Perfect For A Disney Holiday.......2002-11-19

I think this is a great holiday CD. I especially enjoy "As Long As There's Christmas" from Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas performed by Play. I really don't care for Play very much, but I think they did very well with that song. Hilary Duff's "Santa Claus Lane" is very cute, and there are some classic holiday songs such as "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" by Johnny Mathis, "Here Comes Santa Clause" by Gene Autry and "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" by Burl Ives with Owen Bradley and his Orchestra. The Classics always add the perfect holiday touch.
