You Eediot

Long before the South Park kids were talking to turds, Ren and Stimpy were having cartoon encounters with nose goblins, hairballs, and the consequences of peeing on an electric fence. You Eediot! includes most of the great moments from their cartoon show, including "Log Theme," "Muddy Mudskipper," and "Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy." The Screaming Lederhosen, a band made up of animators from the show, provide a number of slightly sluggish loungy musical interludes. Caveat emptor: this disk was recorded after creator John Kricfalusi was dumped from the show, so Ren's voice is done by Billy West instead. Although West is superb in his own right--and shines as Stimpy--those who loved the cartoons will miss Kricfalusi's original chihuahua-on-the-verge-of-a-nervous-breakdown. --Heidi MacDonald

This CD features songs and instrumentals that were featured in The Ren & Stimpy Show. The songs are not the same versions that were on the show, they are rerecordings. Unfortunately, show creator (and original voice of Ren) John Kricfalusi did not participate in the album. Multi-talented Billy West does Ren here, as well as Stimpy (who he always did). The songs arguably aren't as good as the versions on the TV show, but they are still pretty amusing. Most fans of the show will probably enjoy this CD.

"You Eediot!", the original soundtrack from Ren & Stimpy, contains songs from the actual show. Everything from the theme song to "Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy" and classics like "Don't Whiz on the Electric Fence" are on this album. It's wonderful to listen to when you feel the need to be weird or just want a flashback to Nickelodeon's golden days.

Dont Whiz on... the electric fence!!!.......2006-05-16
alrite to start this album is hilarious and this is nickelodeon's greatest show ever. My friends uncle actually did the drumming and back-up vocals on this album so im like distantly related to ren and stimpy haha. but any ways this is just random hilarious fart jokes

Hilarious Songs, First Rate Musicianship.......2005-11-22
I don't care if the material is not cloned from the cartoons, it is great stuff. Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen---heh, heh. The musicianship on the Jazz/Jazz Blues/Rockabilly styled songs are impeccable. A pleasure to listen to from all angles.
uhhhh. . ........2005-03-13
i'm a HUGE fan of R&S, and i've seen every episode ever made, but this is NOT Ren and Stimpy. the songs are all screwed up, and not the way they were on TV. i thought i would barf when i heard the HORRIBLY recorded version of Happy Happy Joy Joy, which is one of my favorite songs, but i hate the way it was in this CD. it sounded like some idiot came and tried to sing it while he was choking on an ice cube! these songs are horrible and they are NOT R&S songs. i hated the songs on this CD because they're nothing at all like the funny TV show. the Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen is ok, but all the other songs are LAME!! if you're a fan of the REAL Ren and Stimpy, don't buy this.
You'd have to be an Eediot to hate this!.......2004-08-02
Hilarious! My kids and I listen to it in the car all the time. We've heard it a million times and we never get tired of it. It always brings a smile to our faces. If you like Ren & Stimpy then you'll like this too. G.S. BOUNTIFUL UTAH
