5 out of 5 stars My Daughter Loves this.......2007-07-12

My 13 month old loves this cd, so much so that I recently visited the artist's website and purchased her other two cds also big hits with her.

The music is catchy, upbeat, and danceable for a small child...all I have to do is say a line from the title song and I get a smile and a head bob.

1 out of 5 stars Totally groovy but not at all cool.......2004-04-10

I bought this CD based on the many glowing reviews but was sorely disappointed. My 3 year old daughter thinks it's OK but it's not one of her favorites. To me it sounds something like a cross between elevator muzak and a lounge act at a very unhip island resort. Or maybe a kindergarten teacher on tranquilizers. The actual music sounds more geared to 40-50 year olds to me than to young children. If you want to have the mellow, grooooovy lite sounds as your background music and can manage to tune out the ridiculous lyrics about shaking your bum or belching like a gassy goose, not to mention the occasional weird sound effects, then by all means, buy it. 5 out of 5 stars Great Family CD.......2004-03-11

We've had this CD for more than 2 years now and it's still a favorite of my 4 year old and now also of my one year old twins. We also listen to some of the artists compared to her such as Ralph's World and Dan Zanes and Wendy Gelsanliter definately compares favorably. Her songs are fun and catchy and considering how many times over and over you have to listen your kids music choices, you'll find this CD one of the easier ones to take.

5 out of 5 stars I listen to this after I drop the kids off!.......2004-02-01

My family (3&6) loves this CD! Her voice and music are so pure without being "folksy" like a lot of other music I've heard. The songs are very catchy and I dare you not to sing "Itty bitty kitty" to yourself. It has a nice range of upbeat and kind of mellow songs, perfect for long car drives, and she even has a couple well known songs so the kids got to jump in and sing along right away. My favorites are "Kitty" and "Ants" and it may sound corny, but on "Lost and found" she sings about losing your mom in a department store and it brings a tear to my eye everytime. It just captures that feeling of being young, like most of the songs on the CD. It gets played a LOT in our car.

3 out of 5 stars not as good as I'd hoped.......2003-07-08

I bought this CD for our 4 year old son when it kept appearing as a recommendation based on our favorite kids CDs.

While there are a couple of standout songs on the album, and Wendy's singing voice is pleasant, I think this album suffers by comparison to the work of artists like Ralph's World, Laurie Berkner, Justin Roberts, or Jessica Harper. The creativity, talent and magic displayed by those artists in their children's music just isn't here in Ants Wear Underpants.

I'm not sorry we bought it, because parents of a music-loving kid always crave variety, but it's not our favorite and our son rarely requests it, either.
