Mr. Spaceman not only captures such far-flung locales as Planet Clare (courtesy of the B-52s) for the intergalactically inclined, it also launches young listeners on a wildly divergent musical odyssey. The Crosby, Stills, and Nash-performed title track knocks us into the stratosphere on the strength of its sun-drenched harmonies; Jimmy Durante gives up his signature gruff stuff on "In My UFO"; Ella Fitzgerald spreads her vocal velvet all over "Two Little Men in a Flying Saucer"; and, before it's over, a one-eyed, one-horned Halloween favorite rockets in with a dispatch on the delicacy that is purple people. Martians and their little green ilk never merited such careful listening. Cue it up, scrap the TV, and a wacky good time for anybody over the age of 2 is instantly in orbit. --Tammy La Gorce

I'll make this review brief. This CD collection of Sci-Fi tunes is geared to the kids market, but aldults will enjoy it also. Just to name a few artists/songs included from this mixed bag are: The Byrds: Mr. Spaceman/B-52's: Planet Claire/Ella Fitzgerald: 2 Little Green Men In A Flying Saucer amongst others to make you wish you are in that flying saucer too! CD sound is excellent. I just hope a volume 2 CD is released! A+
