Many groups of songs within children's albums are simple. Some collections of children's songs are great. But, this one is simple enough to be great, and goes beyond that. For example "Good Morning...Good Morning!" has simple lyrics, and melody so all the children in the nursery school I have can easily follow, even the ones who have difficulty singing a melody. This allows all my class to sing along, enjoy the singing, learn from the song, and develop confidence in themselves. The repetitive lyrics helps in the same way, and the instrumentation, while simple, makes every song exciting in its own way. Songs like "Use Your Imagination" and "We Have To Eat" are wonderful to sing and stimulate the children for pantomime activities that bring the message to the children in a very clear way. "Don't Forget To Exercise" sends out a great message in the most simple way. Bobby Susser has kept it simple and indeed made it great. Play it for your children and I assure you they will easily follow the songs, learn from them, enjoy themselves, and feel that they are great. This is very clever simplicity.

I have a preschool class that loves everything that comes from Bobby Susser. This collection "My Day/In Motion And Play" is a good example why. The songs take the kids on a journey that consists of a child's day. The songs are easy to follow, but clever enough for the melodies and lyrics to stick with the kids long after the music stops playing. Exercises, pantomime, singing, and other activities are used to reinforce the ideas of each song. Subtle use of sounds and instruments along with magnificent harmonies keep every song and idea interesting. There is absolutely no room for boredom in Bobby Susser's songs that he creates for children. He always gets to the point, and it appears to be the same point that interests a young child. This is truly something brilliant, especially when it's consistent, and that Mr. Susser is.

The first time I played this CD of songs for my first grade class, they wanted to hear it over and over again, so that they could sing along, and participate in the activities they easily related to. These songs from Bobby Susser are simple and very exciting. They take children on a trip throughout a day, and invite the children to sing along and join in the activities that are so much a part of their daily lives. Enhancing these songs with activities such as exercises, and pantomime, keeps the interest level very high on the children's part. And what I can always be sure of is that after playing this sensational collection for my class, they will say "Play it again." It became a classic the first time they heard it.

This collection of songs for young children, is simple enough for kids to sing along with and understand, lots of fun, very educational, has wonderful vocalists, has activities that are great lessons for children to learn and are also loads of fun, is delightfully positive, and is totally irresistible. The children in my first grade class ask me to play it over and over and over. They start their mornings with the song "Good Morning...Good Morning!" The collection takes them through the day like a pleasant journey and moves through the day with the richness of all these songs that have the children and myself humming them long after I have put the CD down. It's just great in every possible way.
