Offering a taste of Fats Waller, Gershwin and Duke Ellington, recording artist Dana's bubbly new album of old and new songs clocks into the current swing craze with such classics as "The Joint is Jumpin'," "I Got Rhythm/Happy Feet" and "Chattanooga Choo Choo" (with a children's chorus). Her assured, sunny vocals fit the music and she continues the mood in her own original songs, an enjoyable scat number called "The Swing Along Song," and the clever "Nursery in Overdrive" ("So you think you know your nursery rhymes, But can you get 'em in swingin' time?"). Her diva pop-style "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" doesn't fit in the mix as well, but "I'm a Sensitive Person" is a creative celebration of the five senses and "S-M-I-L-E" ("There's a sunny way of lookin' at things every day, Even if the clouds seem to get in your way") segues nicely into the lovely "What a Wonderful World" by George David Weiss & Bob Thiel.

Dana's Best Sing & Swing-A-Long, Music, Dana Cohenour, Children's, Dana has really got things jumpin' on this exceptionally produced album of swingin' jazz for kids. A great introduction to the genre, this upbeat, participation-oriented recording will have the whole family "scatting" and swinging along.

Dana's music is delightful; she is talented, and her sound is fun. Listening to her sing "You are my sunshine" or "London Bridge" will make you marvel at what music can do for your soul. Children will love her songs and listen to her music non-stop, over and over again. Buy all her stuff. She's a quaility performer!

Dana will really get you swinging and singing with your little ones. The songs are so full of energy and fun that I can turn on the CD whenever one of my kids is having a bad day to get them singing and S-M-I-L-E'ing.
