gentle, beautiful music.......2004-04-30

Our 14-month old son has been falling asleep to this music since he was born. It's beautifully composed and very soothing. What I love most about this CD is that we never get tired of it (rather, baby gets tired listening to it - which is the point!). It's truly wonderful sleepy-time music. I highly recommend this CD to all new parents and babies!

My husband bought this before she was born. We use this every night after a bedtime story. Sometimes my husband and I fall asleep with her. Very gentle, soothing and relaxing. I recommend this to everyone. It's a must have item.

Beautiful, Elegant childrens' songs.......2000-01-14

This is beautiful, soothing, elegant music. Favorite well known nursery rhymes and childrens' songs played on the piano. The arrangements are simple and yet much more complex than your average rendition of "Mary had a little Lamb". I highly recommend this for anyone with young children or any fan of piano music.

I wish I would have listened to the samples before purchasing this cd. As far as quality goes, including the voices of the singers, it simply does not sound professional.

I LOVE this cd!!.......2005-08-26

I bought this cd for my first son, now 5 and used to sing quite a few of the songs regularly, especially Dream a little Dream. Once I read the lyrics to Songbird I thought how perfect, thats exactly how I feel about my children, I sang along often with son # 2. I am now looking forward to sharing the songs with my daughter due in November! I highly recommend it, especailly for those of us who grew up listening to alot of these artists!!

Some great songs........2004-07-28

Overall, this is a really great album. There are a few tracks that stink. But Wonderful Baby, First Snow in Kokomo and Waterwheel are the most wonderful songs. I listen to this album while nursing because the songs are adult-oriented but not necessarily for putting a baby to sleep. The lyrics are also included for those of us who like to sing along.

All-in-all, this album is worth buying for five or six of the songs.

I bought this based on the other reviews, but I was really disappointed. The pace of the sandman song is way too peppy to use this as a bedtime cd. Also, who knew Richard Carpenter had a LISP? It sounds like a parody. This is sitting on our shelf, unplayed. Check out the other lullaby collections, but give this one a miss.

Sing, Dance & Cuddle Music.......2003-01-03

This CD was the very first one that my daughter, now 2, was exposed to and she and I loved it. Just pick your child up and swing around the floor to the songs. Lovely!

Lullabies for Daycare Workers.......2002-07-07

I work in the Infant Room at a Daycare center and this is one of the few CD's that I can stand to listen to, especially for during naptime. The songs are classic are good for humming along to, plus I can listen to it over and over on repeat and I never get sick of it. I listen to this CD at least 3-4 times during a work day. The kids seem to like it too.

Not for children only ..........2007-04-23

As fans of Hawaiian music (especially slack key) my wife and I have found this charming, soothing recording perfect for our own bedtime. We leave soft music playing on our IPod to help us go to sleep just as we both did as children.

Peaceful, Enchanting, and NOT irritating!.......2005-06-17

Most lullaby albums assume that all baby music must be comprised of high pitched bells and twinkly sounds, which is very irritating to adults. Lullaby Moon doesn't have any irritating sounds or loud, super high pitched women showing off their vocal cords like most other lullaby albums. The music and voices are honest sounding and very calming. All the songs sound original to me, which is great since all the "normal" lullabies will drive you nuts after a while. This album has very beautiful music and I think it is a must have for everyone who has a baby. If only I could find more albums that are even remotely similar to this one.

There are 51 cuts on this CD, and the way they do that is by playing abbreviated versions of each song. Which is a terrible idea... children like repetition and, frankly, I would like to be able to sing more than one verse of some of these songs to my baby! All there is on this CD is the first verse (chorus) of each of 51 songs.

My daughter can't sleep without this CD.......2006-04-03

My best friend bought this CD for me and it arrived 2 days after my daughter was born. We played it for her the night it arrived and she has been falling asleep to it every nap and every night since...she is 2 1/2 years old. This CD is beautiful...and since my husband and I can hear it over the baby monitor every night, it was important that it be pleasing to us as well...and it is. Anyone who has learned how to get a baby to sleep through the night knows that steadfast routine is the key. We made this CD part of our daughter's sleep routine and now, when we travel, we bring the CD with us and play it on a portable CD player. She'll go to sleep anywhere as long as this is playing. My best friend is now pregnant and I am returning the favor by buying her a copy of the CD. If you are looking for a beautiful CD to lull your little one AND yourself...look no further. I will be purchasing an extra copy to keep in my daughter's memory box, so that when she becomes a mother, she'll have a copy to play for her little one.

Of all the beautiful melodies I have heard played by Jim Gibson, I believe this album of lullabies is my favorite. It is so very soft and soothing, not only for babies and moms, but for unborn babies as well. It quiets their stress of coming into a new world. This is the album that I have given so many times as gifts that played over and over without tiring of listening to it. There are various melodies; each one helps to make the atmosphere calm and restful. It is a peaceful album to soothe our stressful times.
