This whole recording has a reassuring, civilized, gentle, joyous-but-never-raucous tone. An array of musical styles are represented, from island and world rhythms to clawhammer country, and lyrics in English, Spanish, Italian and Navaho are incorporated into the songs. But Pirtle's lovely voice unifies all the pieces. These are true songs, not sound bytes designed to capture some youngster's fleeting attention and they reflect a vision of humanity in harmony with the Earth.

Beautiful!.......2005-09-08

Having heard traditional chants at Temples and sometimes at home, I was unsure how adding Western musical instruments would sound. Having listened to this CD I now know that it sounds great! This is a beautiful piece of work that I've found uplifting and moving. The artists really seem to have given a part of themselves in creating this, and like other reviewers, I've listened to it repeatedly and still find it mesmerising.

Mantras, the hippie way.......2005-03-17

I was dissapointed with the album. The music was ordinary and reminded me of the "kunbaya"-type of songs from the 60's.... Don't know id they invoke magical healing, but the mantras are rather a cheap boring version of commercialized hippie music.
I am used to listening to true mantras from the masters, and I don't recall any of them being so superficial.

The simplicity and beauty of this music cannot be matched. I listen to it just before I go to sleep. It's the perfect music to lull you into blissful dreams. Buy it and try it. My favorite purchase this year.

I wished there were more Namaste recordings here on amazon. When I listen to this recording it makes me feel as if I am on vacation, sitting out in nature near a fire with mild refreshing breeze blowing - with a group of close friends, celebrating life and praising the power of creation. Oh, what a wonderful feeling!

Gorgeous -- Such wonderful music!.......2004-05-16

As with Sarah's other albums, this one is fabulous! My children and I know all the words to all the songs -- they stay in your heart. She writes about the environment, animals, conflict resolution. Perfect for children and adults alike -- my kids started really understanding at age 4 or 5. They are easy for children to sing and dance to, and are perfect for car rides, too.

Sacred jouney, is one of my favorites, the calmness it brings, and hearing it brings the spirt to a place, just about anything can be delt with. Charlie Wayne again continues to be a national treasure of the Native American People.

Excellent Album.......2005-10-04

First of all i am native american, and when I heard this album I was so amazed. You just sit back and let the music take yo away to another place another world. My father a long time ago told me that my animal spirit will help me along my journey in life and he has in many ways. And now on another journey I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This helps me to relax and to maintain calmness. There is nothing I can say negative about it.

I loved this CD it actually made my soul sing, the Native american flute just puts me in mind that there is a little piece of heaven here on earth I hope he keeps exploring this area of his music.

My only complaint about this CD is that it is to short. One of the best combinations I have ever come across. From vocals to song writing this is one of the best, hands down!!! If you like this one listen to Andrew W. Bordonis' Earthcubed - The Dark and the Divine... another great CD!!!

Earth 3 has landed.......2003-07-15

Andrew Bordoni is one great composer and guitarist. He has restraint in not making a look how fast I can play CD, although he does show in songs that he can shred with the best. Instead he gives a journey with great composing and band performances.
If you like Prog rock, like Translantic, Spock's beard meets clasical rock, then this CD is for you.

One of the top guitarists in the country, Andrew Bordoni is at his best in this superb compilation of inventive songs. Not only does he display astonishing technique, but his musical sense is unique and engaging. Relatively new to the US rock scene, the British Bordoni, is already scoring with a broad audience who have ranked him among the very best. He's a talent and you will be hearing more from him. Take a listen to one of the MP3s offered above and see if you don't agree.
