Nighttime in the Desert
Nighttime in the Desert, Music, Patty Horn
James Reel, The Arizona Daily Star
Parents will be relieved to hear that these are not cloying, simplistic Barney-style ditties. Horn's lyrics reveal a love and knowledge of desert life extending well beyond "git along, li'l dogie". And the music - quasi-country, quasi-pop, sometimes quasi-Mexican ballad - has enough twists to keep Mom from smashing the tape player on the 22nd hearing!
