I bought this along with the division, addition, and subtraction for my 8 and 5 year olds and they are all so boring. Yes the information on them is good but useless if your kids can't stand listening to it. The songs are so long and there's no rythm to make the songs catchy or fun. I understand that different people like different types of music. If your kids tend to like pop music like you hear on the radio then they will not like this.

For my daughter who has learning problems (including memory), this has been the best CD for learning multiplication tables of several we have tried. It has both skip counting and the actual facts. The music is catchy and varies from number to number to help keep them straight. Even my middle schooler boy (who had to listen to it in the car), was heard singing along and cementing those facts! It also plays the songs with blanks so you can test your child with the same music.

My 8 year old daughter just couldn't seem to memorize her tables. Some of the reviews of this cd were a bit discouraging, but I decided to give it a try since my child loves music. I agree that the songs are a bit sappy, but I have my daughter listen to it nightly and after 2 weeks, she is singing all of her tables. For my child, music is a great learning tool. I have also just purchased the other cd's (addition, subtraction and division unplugged) in hopes they may help her master her facts without all the frustration of timed drills/flash cards.

My 4th grade daughter absolutely loves this CD! This CD is such a valuable learning tool and it reinforces the times tables. I highly recommend this as well as the other Sara Jordan CDs, i.e.; Division Unplugged, Additional Unplugged and Subtraction Unplugged.... WE HAVE THEM ALL!

My son (a very bright boy) was a bit down because he doesn't like learning by rote (nor do I), but he loves this CD. It has helped him build confidence with his times-tables, as he often has it on in his room while doing something else. Call it subliminal programming if you like, but it works very well.

AWESOME!!!.......2007-03-14

I teach in an inner city school ..This CD raps, teaches strategies...sings the answer and then the 2nd time it sings the question and leaves students a wait time and a pause to give the answer. I love the stategies, different original songs. SUPER AWESOME for kids in the year 2007!!

Disappointed.......2007-03-08

This CD was so highly rated that I couldn't wait to receive it. When it came, I was extremely disappointed. My niece (of whom I have custody) is struggling with her math facts for school, a necessary promotion standard, and we really need help, but she hates the songs, and quite frankly, so do I. I thought they'd be fun and catchy, but they are cheesey and tedious. The "Hip-Hop" claim is quite questionable. . . . We also purchased Schoolhouse Rock, and it is by far a better investment. Unfortunately, when buying a cd online, it is almost impossible to preview the songs, and so my recommendation is to check out your local music store first to make sure that the music is a match for your child.

Easy on the Parent's Ear, Fun for the Kids.......2007-01-09

This product was recommended to me by a teacher who said it increased test scores for her class. My kids love to listen to this CD. It is now the preferred music selection in the car. The songs all have great rhythms and lyrics so the tape is easy to listen to over and over. We have been listening to this CD daily for three weeks and it is still fresh. Even I have a favorite - the five's song. The older Muliplication Rap tape by Twin Sisters should be retired because it is monotonous and boring. This tape is a hands down winner over any tape we tried!

I didn't like the multiplication rap as well as the division rap. I like that the division rap has a pause for the child to answer the problem before they just say it.

Great for ADHD .......2006-02-25

My ADHD 9 year old STRUGGLED with multiplication facts for 2 years. Nothing worked until I got this. Lyrics included helped tremendously and he learned all facts in less than a week. Great to lift the self-esteem for ADHD kids who have trouble focusing long enough to memorize facts. His Teacher was so impressed she bought 3 copies for her classroom!

The songs are catchy my 8 and 9 year olds like the songs but the multiplication parts in the songs are sometimes spaced out with lots of words in between. Very hard to actually memorize times tables...

tunes not very catchy.......2007-03-15

This CD is pretty good but far from great. These rap tunes are not very catchy .. the only song we can really remember is the one for the '3s'. Overall I think it has helped my daughter though.
One good thing is that every song goes over the multiplication table twice.
When I looked for a multiplication table CD, it looked like none of them was very good ... so this my be the best out there.

Uggggh. This CD is annoying, even to the 3rd graders in the crowd. The students actually moaned the second time they heard it. Save your money and avoid this one.

I have been a teacher for 15 years and teaching multiplication was always difficult until I discovered this CD. I played it and my students loved it. The music appealed to them and they did not feel as if they were "doing" math but were just singing along to the CD, and not only did they enjoy it but they learned the times tables! I can not imagine teaching multiplication again without using this CD for either reinforcement or enrichment.

Early Smooth Jazz Guitar At It's Best.......2006-02-25

I've had this disc for a number of years as well as all of Eric Gale's albums.He remains one of my all time favorite guitar players. I had the pleasure of meeting Eric twice in the early 80's
as a former co-worker was a close personal friend.Eric brought a uniqueness to the guitar that nobody has ever duplicated. Hearing him live was a great treat. I last saw Eric in the 90's when he was
in Tom Scott's band. This is a great disc. I was deeply saddened when Eric passed away in May, 1994. I was so glad I was able to see
him live a few years earlier.

This CD combo contains some of the finest works of one the late great jazz guitarist Eric Gale, he performs true expression in his own unique state of harmonial bliss.

Teamed up with the likes of Grover Washington Jr, Gary King, Richard Tee, Ralph McDonald and others, and with producer Bob James behind the wheel, they play flawlessly together, the string and horn arrangements are excellent and can be lead solos in their own right.

Each cut has its own flavor, fast or slow tempos, no two are alike, taking you form one thought to another. My personal favorite is She is my Lady, it sounds like you can hear Eric saying the title of the cut with his guitar. When he breaks loose on his solos, you find yourself in a state of nothing else matters with your head bopping. All the cuts keep you wanting more.

This is definitely a bargain getting two of his best albums for the price of one. A must have for your contempory jazz collection.

Multiplacation CD.......2006-09-01

This CD is GREAT. I REALLY like it and it is fun and has a nice beat to it. If you are looking for a Multiplacation CD this one would be great!!!

Ugh---Hard to Listen To.......2002-11-17

I bought this for my third grader because he is struggling to memorize his multiplication tables. Of all the CDs at the teacher supply store, this is the one the staff there recommended. I cannot imagine why! This CD is pretty awful. I know it's partially my own musical taste, but the music & vocals are mediocre and repetitive. My biggest complaint---the songs for the actual multiplication tables are the same tune and lyrics over and over and over and over....you get the picture. I don't see how this could help anyone memorize their multiplication tables, because it gives nothing to associate the different numbers with. It all sounds the same. My kids didn't seem to mind the music, but I saw no educational advantage to it, and I can't stand to hear it. The songs that do not contain the actual multiplication tables are pointless and teach nothing.

I'm going to check out some of the other multiplication CDs, specifically the hip-hop ones---maybe they will actually have more than one tune on them.
