THE MASTER OF STORY TELLING. GET THIS CD AND THINK OF YOUR PAST

2/3 of this 'Best Of' is worth buying.......2004-11-27

Now if you vibe to those past DANA DANE joints like "Cinderfella Dana Dane","Delancey Street","Nightmares","This Be The Def Beat","We Wanna Party" and "Tales From The Dane Side" then you'd be ok.

But where is "Dana Dane With Fame",the ballad "Love At First Sight" and "A Little Bit Of Dane Tonight",that was like his comeback hit from his 2nd album DANA DANE 4 EVER. No,they filled in 3 songs with the new jack whack "Something Special" hard to catch the beat "Bedie Boo" and I guess another ballad attempt "What Dirty Minds U Have".

Look,if you look at the prices for the DANA DANE WITH FAME CD,you may want to consider this. It does have 6 songs from that 'very' album. It's something for the time being.

The kids always ask for this music when we're taking car trips and they especially like the Frog and the Valley Girl Princess (ribbit ribbit), Jack and the Beanstalk (Fe Fi Fo Fum!) and the 3 Billy Goats Gruff (baaad to the bone). Very entertaining for adults too.

Dana demonstrates an awesome talent with lyrics and music by combining rock & roll music with fairy tales. Our whole family loves the CD, and we each have a favorite -- Lisa can't stop dancing with Twisted Rupunzel, Jeffrey races around like the Gingerbread Man, Graeme loves Jack & the Beanstalk, Daddy's favorite is the Three Billy Goats Groove, and mine is the Frog & the Valley Girl Princess.

It's great to listen to rock & roll fairy tales at home, and they have been especially helpful on long drives.

My children have been listening to Dana's music for several years now and each new CD is just better than the one before. The kids love to sign and dance along with the songs. Even though some of the songs and stories are old favorites, Dana puts a new spin and perspective on each one, making it an orginal. What a talent!

Dana really knows how to entertain children -- and this recording of rock & roll fairy tales is a great deal of fun. First, let your kids read a traditional version of the stories, and then have fun listening to Dana's "twist."
