Why do I love this CD so? Why I Love Life So: The Songs of Claire Dunphy makes originality the first order of business. Claire sets forth easy-to-sing melodies and crystalline diction, using exotic effects in the clear way. Many of the tunes start with a short spoken introduction, focusing the child's attention on what they're about to hear and making them listen a bit closer. Claire's voice is very personable...there is an intimacy to her entire approach which draws the listener in and invites singing along...there is certainly a child's spirit inside this lady...this grannie is hip indeed! Recommended for ages 3-12.
