Awesome!!!.......2000-10-18

I first developed an interest for Helen when I heard her sing "Awesome God". I don't know about you, but that song by itself is just as it says awesome. well, I went to check out her cd at the library(again) and at first, I wasn't impressed at all, but as time wore on, I loved it, and it is one of my favorites. Her other songs"Music is a voice of God","If if had not been for the Lord", "Everything You Are", and "Still Here" among others, well, they just minister to the soul. I plan to check out her other cd's as well. BUt this one is great...

The First Lady of Gospel Does It Again!.......1999-10-20

There's something about Helen Baylor's music that really speaks to every part of the Christian journey. I believe it's because she sings from the very deep parts of her soul, once filled with pain but now sealed with total victory. This album is no exception. Sister Baylor offers up a wonderful menu of songs with my particular favorites being: "Music is a Voice (of God)," "You Are," "Whatever It Takes," and of course, Helen's continuing Testimony. Invest in this one. Songs to reach the Soul!.......1999-09-28

Helen Baylor has once again reached down in her spirit and birthed out songs of deliverance and inspiration. I enjoy all of her CD's and I anxiously await the next one. May God continue to bless Ms. Baylor.

Helen Baylor has once again out done herself with her newest project, 'LIVE'......Her renditions are great, uplifting, and touching. Her version of Rich Mullins' hit "Awesome God" is truly AWESOME!! In my opinion, this is her best project since 'The Live Experience'.

I bought this cassette at a sale for $1.99 from a scripture book store and never played it. 2 years later - WOW, now I need to find the DVD if there is one or the next best thing- the CD. We are jazz addicts and love God immensely, so this great great combination of flavours has pleased both my wife and I. The only other compilation that has mesmerized us like this one is the DVD titled "The Gospel According to Jazz Chapter II" by Kirk Whallum, with the likes of Jonathon Butler who is from our home town-South Africa.

You know, the first time I heard of this album I felt such a warmth in my heart that I have not felt before. All my friends loved it and together we listened to it over and over again.

Hello,
I first saw Ms. Baylor's Live Experience video and then I heard the CD. I was caught up in so much pain when I saw the video that it just released all the pain. I cried with her, I laughed with her, but most of all I praised GOD with her. She sings and praises GOD so beautifully. Her voice surrounds you and lets you know that you are not in charge GOD is. The song "Sold Out" is riveting with praise and worship. I shouted, clapped my hands and sang out, "Sold Out For Jesus". When she sang "I had a Praying Grandmother", I couldn't hold my tears back. I grew up in the church and I had a praying Grandmother, like Ms. Baylor said, "She never turned her Back on me."
And when she sang the words, "Can you help my friend, you're the only one that can", I rocked from side to side because many of my friends and family members need to be shown the way. The CD is a continuous spiritual journey and sermon about a GOD I know is always there. I listened to her CD until I warped it from the heat of the player. I played the Video so much it got stuck on one side. As I write this review I am beginning to tear up. I have been in recovery for 8 years. I can stand up and testify to the Glory of God. He has blessed me in so many ways.
The Live Experience is a tribute to God and contempory music. I love the music and admire Ms. Baylor for her keen music sense and voice. It is beautiful. Thank you Ms. Baylor for taking the hand of God and changing your life. You are a great spiritual inspiration. Your gospel band, singers and husband are a testimony to the power of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Helen has represented herself angelically with this assinment from GOD. It is her most powerfull. Spiritually and Emotionally charged words that one voice has given me. Thank You Helen Your voice represents the things I want to say but just cant.

Along with God, Helen's choice of songwriters, including herself, and her fabulous band, exposed me to an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that I've never experienced from a recording such as this. "Sold Out", "God Is Able", and "Lifting Up The Name Of Jesus" are all filled with phenomenal beats! Helen's ministry has been a real blessing for me. Thanks Helen! JACKIE
