Desert Dwellers Fiesta" is Horn's 3rd desert disc and it shows her grasp of both the subject matter and her target audience. The songs are simple in construction and none talks down to a child. Musically, the disc runs from traditional Western music to Salsa, Light Pop and upbeat Blues. Horn and Bill Ganz are responsible for the variety and quality of the arrangements.
About the Artist
Patty Horn is a singer/songwriter from Tucson, AZ who specializes in children's music about life in the desert. Her "Desert Dwellers Chorus" consists of children ages 9-13yrs. from Tucson, AZ specially chosen by Patty. The musicians are also well known to the Tucson Area. These songs are fun and educational and the entire family will enjoy them! Her own "Desert Dwellers" Chorus do excellent back up vocals. The addition of percussion and keyboard to some of the songs is a big plus! This is a double CD. The second CD includes the Backing Tracks,(Karoake)for use by teachers and children!
