A Playdate with Blue: A Playtime Musical Adventure [Enhanced]
Editorial Reviews

Preschoolers' favorite pup Blue and his affable--if slightly loopy--sidekick Steve probe the meaning of friendship and skillfully scatter three hints for getting to the bottom of what makes for a hoppin' playdate on Blue's Clues: A Playdate with Blue. Following Goodnight Blue and Blue's Big Treasure, Playdate doesn't stray far from the hugely popular character's TV-show format. Here youngsters will be familiar with the format of the CD. They'll partake in pretend playdate activities with the oft-featured pals Tickety-Tock and Side Table Drawer, who chime in for some rhyming on "Say What I Say"; Mailbox, who addresses his unlikely friendship with the French-accented Salt Shaker on "Why Are We Such Good Friends?"; and Magenta, who shows up early to claim her spot as Blue's clues co-schemer. Main host (and sole human) Steve steers the songs in a direction that smartly promotes problem solving and attentive listening. Along the way he exhibits his talent for timing--before any party-ending this-is-not-fun-anymore thoughts can form in the listener, he's bounding forward on "The Buddy Boogie" or mixing it up with Mailbox on "Mailtime." Lovable performers and a way-above-average entertainment factor build the case for why almost anyone with a 2- to 4-year-old ought to climb into the Thinking Chair with the Blue's Clues cast on "A Playdate with Blue." --Tammy La Gorce

Blues Clues come to the car.......2002-11-08
Blues Clues translates fairly well to an audio version, though this CD would probably not work for anyone who isn't already familiar with the TV format.
We have this CD playing in the car and my son really enjoys it. He doesn't seem to mind if he doesn't get to hear it all in its entirety. Some of the songs are better than others (a couple are pretty dire, but Buddy Boogie is good), but it still makes a pleasant change from the Wiggles and Raffi - and you're not left humming annoying tunes in your head for the rest of the day!
Bottom line: If your kid loves Blues Clues, they will probably love this CD too. If they are not an avid fan, this will not convert them.
WHAT A WINNER!!!.......2002-01-31
Living in the UK we have our own version of Blues Clues which my 2 year old son adores. When we are in the USA my son watches your version with Steve and he prefers it !!!
He is addicted to the big musical DVD and when we got him this CD his face just lit up. Every day now we have this CD on in the house, car because he asks for it all the time "blues clues steve please!" to be exact. He also likes the computer software which we bought in the states but sadley amazon dont ship that abroad YET.
My 2 year old loves this CD!.......2000-12-03
My daughter asks for this CD everytime we ride in our car. She loves singing with Mailbox, Tickity and Sidetable! Tunes are very up beat. Only downside is on track 13 where there is a long break and my daughter thinks the CD is over and asks to hear it again.
More fun than "Goodnight Blue".......2000-04-01
First of all, there are new children who do the voices of Shovel, Pail, and Tickety. The best songs on the CD are "Why are we such good friends?" and the "Buddy Boogie". The music on the show and the CDs feature music that does NOT have a babyish sound. Bark! Bark! Bark! Oh Magenta is there, too!
