Family Lullaby Classics: Film & TV Songs
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
This beautiful collection would be a great gift for a new mom, with songs perfect for both naptime and nursing time. From the warm, familiar strains of Danny Kaye singing "Inchworm" from his 1952 film Hans Christian Andersen to Shirley Temple's enchanting "Goodnight, My Love," these tender tracks can soothe the most troubled soul. Burl Ives's "Lavender Blue" is sweet, but not too sweet, and Peggy Lee's gentle "La La Lu" (from Lady and the Tramp) will touch any new mother's heart. Other tracks include "Tickle Toddle" from the dreams of Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm Bamm; Dick Van Dyke's "Hushabye Mountain" lullaby from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang; and Danny Kaye's lovely "I'll Take You Dreaming." Time to set that VCR up in the kids' room and rent these great old movies! And although the collection's packaging leaves something to be desired, don't let it put you off. --Lorry Fleming

Fantastic!.......2006-07-21
I wish that they would bring this back to the market. This is by far my children's favorite CD. They love it, and I love it! You would not be disappointed at all if you could purchase this CD.
Timeless classics for every baby.......2002-08-03
To hear Burl Ives sing "Lavendar Blue" is just one of the many reasons to buy this CD for everyone you know that has a child. These timeless tunes are the perfect antidote to calm down any child that has been juiced by The Wiggles.

This is a fantastic CD!! Our 2 1/2 year old LOVES it. She asks to listen to this CD almost every night. I wish there were more like it -- hint hint, Billboard. These are timeless classics that can be enjoyed again and again by the whole family. I must confess that I, too, have fallen asleep several times while listening to it with her. Enjoy!

This is a fantastic cd, not only for my baby, but for me! Sung by the original artists, this brought back a lot of memories. These songs are truly wonderful lullabies, and my 8-month old especially loves "Hushabye Mountain" from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang by Dick Van Dyke. I recommend this album for people of all ages.

What a CD! I love it and enjoy it as much as my two month old grandson. Yes, he is only two months old and if he is crying this will soothe him. This is an absolute must for any child. Thank God CDs do not wear out or I would have had to buy a new one already.
