Album Description
A lively and energetic collection for children "that youngsters can play repeatedly without driving their parents nuts in the process." Old favorites, original music, French and Hebrew traditional songs and toe-tapping fiddle tunes are presented with "disarming goofiness," "rich vocals and inventive arrangements," and a mostly non-synthesized sound, relying heavily on guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, percussion, bass and drums. Children's voices are heard throughout the CD. Musical styles include Celtic, Appalachian, Klezmer, French-Acadian, and Rockabilly. The eclectic nature of the music reflects the backgrounds of the singers, Sandy Greenberg and Thomas Cormier, and also the musical influences of their home in Nova Scotia, Canada. The CD has won a Parents' Choice Recommended seal, finalist status in the Children's Music Web Awards (www.childrensmusic.org), and an East Coast Music Awards nomination.
