Two Lefts Don't Make a Right.. But Three Do [Enhanced]

Remember the guys in your school who were too smart and sarcastic for their own good? Put guitars on them with a punk-pop penchant and you’ve got Relient K, Canton, Ohio’s most famous import since the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The band’s third release is a thoroughly enjoyable romp of rambunctious buzz-saw guitars and smart-aleck lyrics churned out by singer Matthew Thiessen. Who else could get away with lines like "Let’s get emotional girls to wear mood rings/ So we’ll be tipped off when they’re ticked off" in the wildly clever "Mood Rings," or "Hoopes I did it again/ Relationships are something I can’t comprehend" from the suburban-boredom tribute "Hoopes I Did It Again." Yet, the band never loses sight of its faith in these matters, always finding God at the end of their collective ropes. The tight rhythm section of bassist Brian Pittman and drummer Dave Douglas shine again, laying a foundation upon which Thiessen and Matthew Hoopes blaze away on their 6-strings. Maybe all that time in the principal’s office did do the guys some good! --Michael Lyttle

5 out of 5 stars listen up guys!.......2007-05-12

every guy should get this cd and play it for your girl. play track #2 "mood rings." matt is so right on the money with this song. in fact, play it for all the women in your life. they will also nod and agree that girls should wear mood rings. haha. i hope my girl doesn't read this. =)

5 out of 5 stars ...wow...........2007-02-07

Well, all I can say about this CD is wow....It's sooo totally awesome!! I heard one song, and I was hooked!

5 out of 5 stars I'm a Believer..........2006-12-04

This CD, literally, made Relient K my favorite band. I had heard of them before, and loved thier songs, so I went out, and bought "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right But Three Do," and was completely blown away.

There's not one song on this album that I ever skip when I'm listening to it. This is probably the only CD that I own that I can listen to all the way through. It's that good. Every song is just as good as the last.

The lyrics will amaze you! The way that they're written, and the way they fit in with the beat and melodies is so clever.

If you like songs like "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne, or anything along those lines, you NEED this CD. I'm talking about how it's essential to your existance.

Buy it!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome.......2006-09-25

Okay, for starters I got this CD with a different cover, it had all four cars in a junkyard on the front. The CD is....eh...hmm...AWESOME.

5 out of 5 stars A pop-punk CD that stands the test of time.......2006-09-22

3/4 of the cd's I own, without exception, rarely get played after a month or two. Some grow tiresome after just a few listens, others after more, but rarely do I listen to a cd 2 years after I buy it! Relient K's "two lefts don't make a right...but three do" is the exception to the 3/4 rule. This is truly one of the best pop-punk cd's I own, with great lyrics, chorus' and guitar parts. It's catchy and driving, but it's also got nice melodic moments to even things out. I don't even have to mention that replay value is very, VERY high.

Relient K, along with the stating line's debut, fall out boy's take this to your grave and new found glory's sticks and stones, will probably never leave my cd changer. It really is a timeless piece of plastic!

5 out of 5 stars Relient K Rocks!.......2007-06-27

When I first heard this album I fell in love with it right away. It is an amazing album. It is a very energetic album. They have fun and funny lyrics, but also they have some more serious songs like "Getting Into You". If you liked any of RK's other albums you'll love this album I guarantee it. If you like relient and suggest you try out these other bands also: Hawk Nelson, Eleventyseven, Mae, Sherwood

4 out of 5 stars Pretty darn good.......2005-11-30

As a Relient K fan, I have to say that this is not the best of thier albums, but definitely not the worst I've ever heard. I like the bonus Christmas Disc. They should have released it separately. Good catchy pop-punk cd.

2 out of 5 stars way too pop for my taste.......2005-07-07

a few of my friends have been trying to get me into relient k- but i was not really interested and a little skeevy on the idea of christian rock (i didnt want someone preaching to me over my stereo) so i never bothered. but alas i saw this album on the sale rack and bought it. but i can't get into it. it is so pop and whiny in places and very middle school and yes, for the record i have gotten into christian rock-(and no, rk doesnt preach) and most of the christian rock i've found is good. but does relient k have any better albums?-less pop would be a plus- b/c this just pass for me as being any type of rock.

5 out of 5 stars Hoops i did it again.......2005-05-22

i fell in love with another band. i actually reviewed the other CD thats isnt enhanced. if you can find my review there you know how i feel about this band.

this CD is packed full of down to earth, clever, and amusing lyrics i know almost anyone can relate to.

the Christmas CD on here isnt exactly the best ever, but its nice to have. it has a bunch of basic Christmas songs that are definaly more fun so sing along too along with a few more serious ones, showing relient k knows eactly when to settle down and when they can be silly and out there.

i recommend buying this CD if you wanna hear the most outragous bonus track, EVER.

Forever. May the horse be with you.

2 out of 5 stars Not worth it.......2005-04-10

This album was released as a Christmas follow-up to the originally released by the same name. It includes a "bonus disc" (if something this mediocre can be called bonus) of Christmas songs as well as the original CD. Unfortunately this CD is nowhere near the quality of normal Relient K material. Buy the original instead of this one, the Christmas album is actually painful to listen to.
