Tarralyn Ramsey's years of waiting have paid off. After she turned down offers to record mainstream R&B albums, her desire to follow her true calling in gospel music is finally being fulfilled. The first major exposure of her amazingly soulful vocal style was on the WOW Gospel 2000 project with the song "Unconditional Love." I love this CD and would recommend it to anyone who love gospel music. It is great for the young and old. Her voice is classic and soul stirring.

GREAT, what happened to Tarralyn?.......2007-05-02

Good CD. I liked just about every song. I know that Tarralyn ended up winning a contest and made a secular CD. I bought that one too, and frankly, this one was better. CD had some good producers, and the songs really captured her dynamic voice.
If you like Contemporary Gospel this had a little something for everyone. Some fast tempo, some slower stuff, some more traditional sounding songs. It's well-balanced for Gospel music lovers.

Tarralyn Ramsey's voice is so incredible! It's very refreshing that someone with such a beautiful voice has chosen to go Gospel. Each song on this CD is magnificent and soulful. My personal favorite is "Unconditional Love". I definitely recommend you buy this CD.

Oh my gosh! I think she has the most beautiful smooth soulful voice. Her style is very religous. I love the song peace of god, there is just something very special about that song, it is very touching. Tarralyn is a true talent! And I enjoy listening to her album is very beuatiful and soulful. She reminds me alomst of Whitney Houston a little, just because he voice is so rich.
I can't waite to hear more from Tarralyn! Work it girl!

More than just talent...........2006-12-21

I remembered Tarralyn from her gospel endeavours. When I saw her competing on VH1's Born to Diva, I didn't know whether or not the "world" was ready for a voice like hers. No matter what she sings, whether it's gospel or secular, her God-given abilities are undeniable. She is a powerhouse! As a Christian, I have a serious problem with others in the faith who prefer to critize when a gospel artist crosses over. They went crazy when BeBe & CeCe Winans had songs cross-over. I know CeCe, and I haven't seen anyone so real and Spirit-led in the gospel industry. She hasn't waivered in her faith one bit just because secular stations gave her music air play. Personally, I believe that just as we live in this world and manage to keep our morals in tact, an artist can sing a variety of music and still be a witness for Christ. I always use the fruit of the Spirit as a gage in terms of what kind of music I listen to or things I watch on TV. This album celebrates love in a respectable manner. Tarralyn hasn't lowered her standards- she's reached out to an audience who otherwise may not have known how cool Christianity is and the freedom we have in Christ. The last time I checked, Jesus went INTO the world to preach the gospel. He didn't just stick with His disciples and exclude anyone who wasn't of like-faith. If anything, He influenced them and ultimately changed their lives. We've all been commissioned by God. What are you doing to change the world?

Extraordinary Talent - Great album - only disappointment it wasn't supported.......2006-05-28

I am so tired of pretty girls with subpar voices. Tarralyn can really sing, she reminds me of Whitney Houston when Whitney first came out. She has a powerful voice and a wonderful variety of rich uptempo, mid-tempo and ballad songs. Anyone who believes this album was a waste of time doesn't know a great voice. I'm hoping more people will support Tarralyn's forthcoming works. She's truly the kind of singer who is a dying breed (thanks to hip-hop). I want to hear a person sing, hold a note and maintain a beautiful sound and Tarralyn is that artist. May God continue to Bless her and if you want to hear a great album buy this album of wonderful songs.

Godly disappointed.......2006-03-09

I gave Tarraly on star for her vocal ability. This young lady has one of the most beautiful voices that I have ever heard. She is very talented, and I believe she is anointed by God.
I remember when I heard her first gospel album. I was stunned!! I was just so impressed with her beautiful voice, and lyrics of the different songs on the CD.
I was so hurt when I seen her on Vh-1 competing for a secular music record deal. I remember her exact words in one of her interviews while competing on the show. She said, "I was hoping that no one would recognize me from the gospel ablum that I did when I first came out. People need to realize that althought I had a gospel album out that was being sold, I had no money in my back account?"
Her words shocked me. I guess for Ms. Ramsey, having excessive amounts of money is more important than doing a work for God.
Tarralyn, I doubt if you will ever read this. And I hope that I haven't offended. That is not what I am trying to accomplish. I am not trying to pass judgement, but I do know that the word of God tells us that we cannot serve two masters. Unfortunately, we are living in a day and time where people think that it's ok for christian artists to do secular music, as well as gospel. I disagree. Secular music does not glorify God. Most secular music makes no mention of how awesome God is. It doesn't edify the spirit man. Almost 100% of the time, secualr music speaks of sex, drugs, infidelity etc. I wish with my whole heart, you would come back to the gospel music industry, and continue to bless God's people in song.

Very Disappointing.......2005-07-06

This album gets 1 star for her voice range and skills. However I hope in the near future, she will begin to work on a second GOSPEL album. Her first album was awesome! It's rare that one can enjoy a whole album, by listening to it the first time. Normally, a new album has to grow on you. Those of you who didn't hear her gospel album would quickly say this album is really good. But listen to her gospel album and you will not only see the difference but FEEL the difference. Come back Tarralyn, to your first love.

They hated on TARRALYN RAMSEY! This album is HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT! I don't understand why they didn't push this album at all? With all the b.s. female artists out there, this one brings back some good singing! She breaks it down! That first song, sounded and more amazely felt like Whitney Houston! I had to stop and open up my cd player again to see what cd I had put on there. Those anyone know if she's still producing another album?

Never before have I been in love with a voice such as hers. It is the sound of heaven to heart, soul, and the ears. Truly uncomparable,...the likes of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Kelly Price, & Shirley Murdock all wrapped into one person. She's definitely on her way to blowing these women out the water. I suggest everyone take a serious listen to this woman, her time is now,.....if a voice hasnt touched your heart or moved you in some way, then one listen will definitely be a life changing experience!
