Self-titled, the fourth long-player by the Anointed has been referred to by those in the trio's camp as their "dream record," made silky-smooth by an all-star group of wish-list producers including Keith Crouch and Tony Rich. While hardly breaking new ground, and a little saccharine for some tastes, Anointed witness to the faithful in a slicked-up eclecticism that will appeal to the most secular R&B pop fans. "Something's Missing" is a sensual ballad firmly grounded by spiritual ideals. "Ooh Baby" is a dance-inflected harmony anthem underscored with a fat bass-delay beat. "Take It Easy," a funked-up, whirling R&B number, features the skitter-scat showboating of Steve Crawford on lead vocals. Most insightfully infectious, however, are the opening and closing numbers--the unadulterated disco-gospel joy of the album version of "Revive Us" (there are two alternate cuts not featured here) and the soulful optimism of the eminently singable "Anything Is Possible." --Paige La Grone

Kinda disappointed!.......2007-03-08

This video simply wasn't interesting to watch. The music material itself is just "average" and somewhat dated; It doesn't compare to their last project/release "My Purpose" from many years ago. I still love and listen to that CD today. I guess I was expecting something on that level. What a let down...

Let me start by saying that I am more than satisfied with the "RETURN". I was wondering how a group makes a comeback after 12 years. Well The Anointed Pace Sisters have proven that it can be done. My only criticism of the cd is that some of the songs are too short but im sure thats because of the number of tracks. I think they made an awesome comeback and deserve nothing but respect.

ONE OF 2006's Greatest Albums.......2006-11-13

First Let me start off by saying I have been a fan of the pace sisters since I was three when the U-KNOW album came out. This album is off the hook, they still have it. The first song is "High Praise" an instant radio hit! Then there is a song called "Reign" with a reprise it's lead by Leslie Pace what a killer she is, the song has a kind of Go-Go beat to it. Another song that I just love is "He's Here" featuring my favorite singer Lashun Pace she kills this song and then they go into the "When God Is In The Building". To sum it all up you will get your money's worth but most of all you will be blessed.

Review of the Album "Return".......2006-10-26

The Anointed Paces Sisters is a Group I love to hear! When I walked in the Gospel Record Store to find they had a new album I was extremely excited that they had returned. However, as I listened to the CD I was disappointed again the same as with their 2003 release of 'It's Already Done'. I'm not sure what has happened with them, but this album does not match their first two albums which were both highly anointed and spirit filled which brought me back to them for this purchase. Durnice continues to deliver in 'It's Already Done', and thank God for them letting LaShun guest solo on this Album. She is a sister and should always be included as God has truly blessed her with the gift to sing. Melonda is my third favorite singer after Durnice and her cut on here was okay, but I was looking for something more on the order of 'His Spirit is in this Place' off of their second Album. God bless the Pace Sisters and may they continue to uplift the name of the Lord!

Great CD Anywhere, in the car, at work, at play, &while resting.......2007-02-19

HI: I just bought this CD and I really like it. It is a great CD for anytime. The songs are great and not old churchy. I like listening to this Cd during stressful periods in my days, and when I am exercising.
The songs are wonderfully written and the vocals to match them. The words really make you think about your soul and your choices in life.
I wish there were more songs on this CD. I want to hear the next compilation for MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST. I also bought the other CD for My Utmost for his highest and I really enjoyed both.

An overlooked masterpiece........2001-03-22

This CD was released 8 months after the huge success of the first My Utmost for His Highest project. Unfortunately, it failed to sell in the same numbers as the first. I will admit that at first, I didn't like it as much as the first. But it has grown on me, and now I like it more.

In my mind, one of the reasons it failed to sell in the same numbers as the first is that it doesn't have the name recognition the first did. While the first had Amy Grant, 4Him, Point of Grace, etc., this one has Anointed, Clay Crosse, Greg Long, and Lisa Bevill, among others. Michael W. Smith does make a return visit for two songs, the incredible SOMEDAY (SET THE CHILDREN FREE) and a recording with Anointed of JOYFUL, JOYFUL that's similar to Crown Him with Many Crowns from I'll Lead You Home.

Still, the reason this CD is so powerful is because of the overall theme and message of the songs. The idea was to release a collection around God's covenant with us and our response to it. When I really sat down and listened to the CD with that in mind, I was blown away. Some of the lyrics include: "I have made a promise/And so it will be...I belong to you/And you to Me." "I say it's a promise/A covenant, a destiny/I will come to set My children free." Susan Ashton contributes a beautiful version of Psalm 121 taken almost word for word from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible. By the time I reach the response to God, I find it easy to be praying "I promise all of my ways" and can claim the promise that "We will follow You, knowing You'll lead us through." The two instrumental songs, incorporating melodies from the other songs, add to the reflective mood.

This CD belongs in every Christian home. It is a great reminder of Who is ultimately in control of our lives and our world, and what He has promised to those who believe in Him.

I loved this CD as much as the first one. If you have read Oswald Chamber's book, heard the first CD or are looking for an inspirational religious CD with music to please every taste, you have to buy this CD!

A perfect sequal to "My Utmost For His Highest". You truly feel the Spirit! A wonderful mix of todays top gospel musicians. Contemporary mixed with traditional. Make sure you read the excerpts on the inside cover!

The technical mixing of the CD is top quality! We have a surround sound home theater system, and you can hear every instrument and voice distinctly. The separation is superb! The music is annointed and Jesus' presence enters as you praise Him and listen to this music. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone that wants to enter into God's presence.
