We were disappointed with this CD, but for the price I guess we can't expect much. I didn't care for the new style presentation of the songs. I like a more traditional rendering.

3 out of 5 stars Not so bad, 100 tunes for 4$.......2005-06-22

I red the comments of two other people who have bought this 4 CD BOX SET and it is not really so bad. I will even add that there are some excellent tunes. However, I must agree with the fact that few tunes seem to have been recorded 40 or 50 years ago, mainly when you hear the scratches of an old turntable but it is just 2 or 3 tunes. Furthermore, if you do not know American music, it is a good BOX SET to buy if you consider that you received 4 CD for 4$ including 100 tunes. On these 4 CD, I have heard some orchestration that I have never heard before and I consider that they are different but interesting. Any way, after hearing these 100 tunes, you will say to yourself that you like this tune, this other tune, this other tune and so on and you will be able to buy a more expensive CD with the tunes that you like. However, I have bought many CDs in the last few weeks and as you know, there are always some tunes that you like and some tunes that you do not like on every CD that you will buy. So, don't buy it at 25$ but at 4 or 5$ dollars, it is a very good choice for 100 tunes.

You get what you pay for. The singers put their own spin on the singing of each song. If you didn't hear the words you would not recognize some of them. Even some of the music sounds like a bad recording of music played on a turntable. Definitely not worth the price.

I wish this review had been here when I was thinking of purchasing it. I guess you get what you pay for. If you are thinking of buying this, you are better off recording your own CDs (or at least buying one that you can listen to a sampling of the songs). This album includes songs that were mere recordings of the songs playing on an old record player. It's almost so unbelievable that it is funny.

If you like pure rock and if you like Led Zep, you'll like this cd for sure. Some pretty good rock songs on this release. I prefer the first album but his one is not bad at all.

This is a really good overall CD. This is where kingdome come began to show some individualism after their too heavily zep-influenced Debut.

Just thought I'd weigh in on this little debate. Yah, they are like Zep in a lot of ways, but come on--Led Zepplin never had this much SOUL. But that's just my opinion.

Lead cut and flagship song - Do You Like It - peels outta you speakers with bombast and intent. Sure the intent may be to have a good time and rock out but sometimes, well it's just gotta be done!

And Kingdom Come do it well. This is a consistent hard rock release that finds Lenny Wolf in fine voice and the musical assautl pulling all the right moves. in just the first three songs the band hit three different grooves from the opening tunes raucous party rock to the lumbering, brooding but still rockin' tune The Wind.

The rest of the album rides a similar series of guitar riffs that allow Wolf to breath and croon his way through wat are usually deceptively simple sentiments. With production by Keith Olsen and the backing of Polygram it is perhaps surprising that this disc didn't sell heavily. Sure there was the hammering their first album copped from the just about every quarter but this is just so much better than other stuff that sold heavily around this time (hello Winger and Warrant).

Not perfect but a worthy party album and a great driving album, tunes such as Gotta Go (Can't Wage A War) and others easily enveloping the listener in their chutzpah.

4.5 stars.

Many claim that Kingdom Come sounds like Led Zeppelin, that's not really true. The case is that Kingdom Come's music is over all inspired by Zeppelin's song "Kashmir". Kingdom Come is an average heavy metal band and "In your face" is a decent album in this genre. The best tracks are "Who do you love" and "Stargazer" (not the Rainbow song), the rest is rather mediocre. And by the way, their first album is better...

WARNING THIS ALBUM COULD BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR WORSHIP AND PRAYER LIFE! When I found this album I couldn't stop rejoicing. The combination of worship and prayer that God had been showing me was on this work! This project based on the Tabernacle of David is awesome. From the opening prayer in song, the awesome declaration of "Let Your Kingdom Come", to the powerful roof raising experience of the last track "Holy is the Lord" this is for those seeking to know God in the higher realms of the Spirit. Jump in!

If you are looking for a slow moving,typical rendition of the Lord's Prayer in music form, this CD is not for you. This offers a moving and sometimes fast paced opportunity to worship in the model of the Lord's Prayer. I found it refreshing, and inspiring. One does not have to sit and be quiet in order to worship. This CD is evidence of that. I believe that the artist truly has a perspective of entering in the presence of the Lord and worshiping with total surrender. If you are looking for music to lead you into this type of worship for yourself, this CD is a place to begin.
