About the Artist
SPIRIT-LED, based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, was organized in April of 1989. The choir consists of members from various denominations, including ministers and evangelists, who have dedicated their lives and music to spreading the Gospel.

Under the direction of its founder, Elder Lannie Robertson, Spirit-Led is committed to bring a MESSAGE of hope to this MESS AGE. Realizing the necessity of following the path of righteousness, the choir emphasizes the need for the Word of God in every aspect of ministry.

Spirit-Led not only serves its community but has traveled afar. They have had the privilege of appearing with many of the top artists of our time: Donald Lawrence & Tri-City Singers, Bishop Ronald Brown, Pastor Daryl Coley, Elder Donnie McClurkin, Minister Hezekiah Walker, Timothy Wright, Walter Hawkins & Love Center, John P. Kee & New Life, Kirk Franklin, Canton Spirituals, Fred Hammond & RFC, and The Williams Brothers as well as appearing on Bobby Jones Gospel in 1993 and at the Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar in 1994 and 1996.

Spirit-Led is not just a choir but a ministry. They sing under the anointing, which we all know . . . . makes the difference. Gospel music lovers can not only expect to hear from Spirit-Led but to be blessed by Spirit-Led.

Not on anotha level...but nice.......2006-06-20

The laid back westcoast boys debut is nothing special, but it's still nice. Anotha Level is made up of Bambino, Stix, Stones, Ced Twice & Stenge. AL have often been criticised for their remarkable similarities to the Pharcyde, it is believed (and quite obvious) that they have clearly been remarkably influenced by the P and as a result, have bit their style. Now although this may well be the case, it still can not be disputed that AL carry this style and carry it well, whether or not it lacks originality. MC's Bambino, Stenge & Ced Twice all kick it on the mic, nothing mind-blowing, but they hold their own. Complimenting the beats perfectly, courtesy of Stix & Stones. The beats on the album are very 90-esque, with the great samples/melodies and the anti-commerical sounding vibes, just how we like it. Similarly, AL stray from the synthesised G-Funk sound, so prominently associated with the west in the 90's Featurings on the album are Ice Cube on "Level N Service" and the Pharcyde on "Phat-T" (haha).
The lyrical substance on the album does not consist of much more than the idea of fun-loving, biggin' themselves up, women, blunts etc, but it works. I mean if you want some thought-provoking westcoast hiphop go look for Souls of Mischief or People Under The Stairs.
Now, cop this by all means if you're looking for some generally good hiphop from the golden era, where freshness & raw talent was at its peak. PEACE!

All praises to God!.......2003-08-20

I am a former member of this choir. I was actually there in the first 3 recordings. God has done marvelous things through these annointed young people. They have labored to get to "anotha level". Im not saying this out of favor, but they live what they sing about in their song. I am very proud of this project, I listened to it when I went home to visit but didnt purchase it at the time but I am ordering it online right now. If you havent had the "Spirit-Led" experience, let me tell you...You are in for a definite treat! Get it you wont regret it!

This album is a blessing to me. This album is not only gospel music but it really ministers to your spirit and soul. Spirit-Led is definitely on Anotha' level. May God forever bless them as they travel and minister across the states.

Elder Lannie Robertson & Spirit-Led definitely take this album on another level. One can definitely feel the anointing and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit especially when listening to the power-packed songs on this awesome CD. On Anotha Level is just that, and will allow you to not only hear but see the vision that God has placed within this annointed, appointed and talented ministry. EXCELLENT! Wonderful! Simply AMAZING!
