This Disc Collects all the Singles She Recorded for the Label, Highlighted by her Phenomenal Hit "i Can't Stand the Rain", which Blazed the Charts in 1973 and Found Favour with a Certain Ex-beatle who Sang It's Praises Near and Far....john Lennon.

It is a shame that Ann never really made huge sales or success.
She would never make a top 10, or even top 20 pop hit in her career as a singer.Don't get me wrong, that does not reflect the quality of her work. Gutsy, ragged,intense one moment, tender, emotional, sweet sounding in another. Ann is most often compared to Tina Turner.A big honor.Ann was called the greatest 'undiscovered' star since Lorrain Ellison.Ann played the south, and other parts of the country, where southern soul was still prominent in the mid 1970s.She arrived at a time when Disco and funk where coming into season and tradtional soul was being phased out. Her greatest records are "I can't stand the rain" for which she garnered a Grammy nomination, "You keep me hangin on" (also grammy nominated) and the bitter "I feel like Breakin up somebody's home" Her music is in true tradtional southern soul form, a prime example of the craft.Loud horn section and the pounding bass linemix together to create some great music. If you like singers like Tina Turner, Mavis Staples, and Candi Staton, Ann is the right singer for you.

This is the one you have been searching for! The song you heard on the radio maybe once or twice about sixteen months ago that you thought was Taylor Dayne and could not get out of your head but alas, it was not Taylor Dayne. It's Anastacia! Purchase this now! It is still as good from when you listened to it on your favorite radio station long ago.

I'm not usually a huge fan of singles, but when I heard this on the radio I picked the single up because I was curious. I love the song! It's been a while since I bought it, but I'm still playing it a lot. I can't wait for another Anastacia song! As a cool note, they are re-releasing this song, so expect to hear it some more!

I first heard of Anastasia when I saw her on MTV's show The Cut, where she was trying to get discovered. I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with her voice. She's so amazing. She deserves to go straight to the top! Watch out Mariah!

This collection charts all the contradictions that made up Al. Green's "pop" career. The early tracks explore Green and Willie Mitchell trying to find the formula that would traform Green into a pop ikon. The hit came with "Tired of being alone" and from then on, with tweaks in the arrangements, the "A" sides follow that winning formula.It's the "B" sides that provide the underated gems. Try "Old Time Lovin'" and in particulalr "What a wonderful thing love is" as examples of his often overlooked pleading style. On CD2 check out "I'm glad you're mine" as the defining point where Green turns back to his faith. Is it a love song - or not?.Perhaps the most personal track is "Let's get married" - supposedly for Laura Lee. In "Full of fire you can hear Green as the preacher he became."There is love" signals the end of this phase of his "pop"career, and he went on to record the "Belle" album.This double CD is an absolute must in charting the changes that Green went through. Unmissable!

This Mix is great (Hex extended remix) well worth ANY $$$ amount. It is the debut single from her Debut CD, which is a must have. Anastacia certainly has a distincitve vocal style similar to the likes of Macy Gray, just as soulfull if not more!!! I heard this on the radio here in the USA various time she may have had moderate sales here in the USA, but that doesn't mean she's bad, quite the oppisette!!! Most truely good artist are virtually unknown!!!

But anyways this song "I'm out of Love" is not to shabby it was a promising debut single, I haven't heard the remixes of this song yet. I just wanted to review the original version. And its not bad at all, it convinced me to want to purchase the album so it can't be all bad!!! Also I hated this song at first, but it grew on me so if you don't like it at first listen a couple more times!!!
