"got the Devil Under My Feet".......2000-08-19
I first happened upon "Got the Devil Under My Feet" while trying desperately to find something on the radio to distract my three-year-old daughter from demanding yet another round of "Barney" cassettes! I scanned through our local radio stations, and thankfully, there it was. In no time we were clapping our hands, singing, and having such a good time, I actually passed by our house & kept driving so we could sing some more!
"Got the Devil Under My Feet" is charged with the most positive, confident, and "faith-full" energy I've ever heard. It immediately puts a smile on your face, and helps you put all your trials in perspective.
The lyrics are simple, sincere, and easy to learn. The music is classic, spiritually-charged, and soulful. How can you go wrong?
Now, whenever we hear "Got the Devil Under My Feet" on the radio, my daughter squeals excitedly that "our song" is on. To say that I am grateful to Timothy Fleming for turning ordinary errand-running into extraordinarily special memories is an understatement, to say the least!
