This was one of the CD's that I could not stop playing in late 2000 & early 2001. Bro. Charles really comes through on this project. The CD opens up with a great testimony on "It's On", then the party begins on the title track "Tru2God" in which Bro. Charles gives a two-way style of singing & rapping and is no phony on the mic. The next song "Turning Point" talks about when you are straddlin' the face between the world & in Christ how we have to make up our mind and devote our whole life to God and not in man. "Jehovah Dance" is raggae style song that you can just skate to while getting your praise on. "He Washed Me" is another excellent song, then my favorite song on here "Da HolyGhostParty" is truly anointed praise with a great rhythm to it. I can just play that song all day and not get tired. I don't if that is Rufus Troutman on the talkbox or Bro. Charles. The next track to listen to is "Can't Nobody", no matter what this world try to offer me, can't nobody do me like Jesus. The last song on the album is a great traditional track of "God Be With You". This is where in a lot of Baptist churches that at the end of service we will sing a portion or two before the benediction but Bro. Charles sings a verse of and the chorus in the background is just sensational. Another song of note is "Never Let Me Down" which uses a interpolation of a late '90's hip hop song but I can't remember what it is but still a great track. Overall this was Bro. Charles best effort and you did not hear a lot of his Covenant Choir but in a handful of songs. Great work!!!

Charles Woolfork has scored with his latest effort 'Tru2God'. The CD is well written, well produced, and showcases Woolfork's writing and singing well. The music itself, however, is in places derivitive, and on one cut, 'Jehovah Dance', Woolfork does himself, and Caribbean people a disservice with the horrible accent that he attempts. The worship cuts are excellent, and 'It is well' is the highlight of the CD. Overall, this CD is worth buying, and a blessing

This CD is like a roll of "Lifesavers." There's a flavor for every taste.

The best of the secular world has been revamped and it is now, "Tru2God." Imagine if you will, dancehall reggae, hip-hop, R&B, old time religion, jazz, and rock all designed for praise and worship to the LORD. Well, imagine no more.

While listening to this CD the listener will sense artists such as GUY, the NO LIMIT SOLDIERS, SHAGGY, GAP, NAT KING COLE, TAKE SIX, ROGER, BOYZ2MEN and R. KELLY. It's not them, it's Charles Woolfork. He is an amazing artist. He has, artfully, taken some of the best sounds of the 20th century and melted them into worship and praise. It's a CD the listener can't help but pay attention to. While listening to this CD I could only raise my hands in praise, jump around and dance. At times the praise was so high, I had to catch myself from falling out. If the next listener isn't careful, the experience will be the same.

The grandma who goes to church every Sunday, jazz officiando uncle Joe, the reggae rebel and wanna-be thug child will all rejoice, to the LORD, while listening to this CD. This is, truly, an exciting CD. In other words, it is a "LifeSaver", literarily.

True 2 God I is probably the surprise album of the year. This album is off the glass! From the remake of already been to the water to Jehovah Dance this album is bad!! Purchase this albu today who ever you are.

I believe that this project is one of the best CD's that Charles has ever produced. It offer's different styles of praise and worship to the listener. Also, it has flavor for every age group (3yrs and up). You will not be disappointed after listening to this CD. You need to purchase your copy right away!
