I EUGENE ROSS III HAVE MUCH GRATTIUDE AND APRRECIATION FOR CLARA WARDS MUSIC CLARA'S MUSIC WAS ANNOTTED BY GOD HIMSELF. I'VE GAINED A LOT OF ENTER STRENGH BY LISTENING AND MEDDITATING TO HER MUSIC, I MYSELF BEING A 24 YEAR OLD GOSPEL MUSICIAN HAVE GROWED TO APPRECIATE TRADITIONAL GOSPEL MUSIC.THE LIFE SHE LIVED WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN ESPECIALY BY ME.

Reissue of HOB title 'When the Gates Swing Open'.......2000-09-13

When I first saw the title, I was looking forward to 'new re-releases' on cd format. When I received the cd I found it was identical to the HOB release of "When The Gates Swing Open'. The music, the vocal, the emotion of Clara Ward cannot be discounted. This is a marvelous release of the voice of Clara Ward, but it has been previously released. If you do not have the HOB album, it will be a great addition to your collection of Clara Ward. Her voice is in good form and the messages inspirational. This is one of the recordings issued before she went out into the highways(nightclubs)with her singers. Enjoy.

Same tracks as When The Gates Swing open.......2003-02-16

Do not confuse the title of this album with the LP of 'We Remember Clara Ward'. These are the same tracks of the album 'When the Gates Swing Open' on HOB. I was anticipating the rerelease of the LP but when I received it, I was disappointed that I already had all of the tracks on the above mentioned album. If you do not have the original CD release, I recommend it, but if you think you are getting the LP, be forewarned.
