Dogwood are great - at last there is a Christian punk band who arent ashamed of God and don't sound wingy. They have mega fast fast drum beats, great lyrics (esp. WE CRY VICTORY and MORE THAN CONQUERORS) cool guitar work and amazing vocals - Josh has acool voice. Stand out tracks include WE CRY VICTORY, FEEL THE BURN and CONFUSION ZERO. This is amazing hardcore that any punk fan should own. If you like bands like No Use For A Name and Lagwagon then you will love Dogwood.

great stuff.......2001-11-02

i'm going to come right out and say it. i just can't get sick of this cd! i've been listening to it for almost 2 years now, and excluding about two months when i lost it, i haven't gone two days without hearing it all the way through at least once! the words, the music, the guitar riffs, everything is awesome. there isn't one song on the whole cd i skip over. here's a quick review of the individual songs:

1.Suffer-great beat, one of their longer songs. 9 out of 10

2.Rest Assured-one of the short ones, but still good. wish they had made it a full-length. 8 out of 10

3.Feel the Burn-awesome song. great drum work on this one, with creative guitar melody. shows the talent of dogwood. 10 out of 10

4.Never Die-best song on the cd, second of all time dogwood songs behind the early stairway to hell. one of the better songs with a message. 10 out of 10

5.Out of the Picture-the least of the songs. good, but not up to their standards. unimaginative, boasting simply a loud guitar. 6 out of 10

6.My Best Year-great song. doesn't sound like dogwood very much, in a hard to explain way, but still great. again, shows the creative guitar work. 10 out of 10

7.Control-kind of an escape from the normal "rage" roots that dogwood has. music isn't great, but the words are true and hit home. 9 out of 10

8.Everything Dies In Time-not bad, good head banging song with some good vocal straining singing. 8 out of 10

9.We Cry Victory-very good, with a good message. the lead singer shows his screaming ability in this one. 10 out of 10

10.The Pain is Gone-my second favorite on the cd. i always find myself singing the lines "take my rage, hide it in your fist. it's all for you..." the best guitar solo on the cd. 10 out of 10

11.Confusion Zero-good, however the lyrics are slightly obscure. not their best work. 8 out of 10

12.Left Out Cold-not bad, but again, not their best. nothing really exceptional about it. 8 out of 10

13.More Than Conquerers-awesome song, with great words. I knew them all after only hearing it about two times. 10 out of 10

The only complaint I have with this is that most of their songs are under 2 and a half minutes long. i guess though that this what you can expect from a punk band, although some of their songs would've benifitted if they were about 3-4 minutes long. this cd shows off their talent best, also their love for the Lord. get this cd!

Dogwood Rocks.......2001-10-09

This is one of Dogwoods Best CD's . To the guy who thinks that Josh (Singer) has not talent You should try to do what he does to his voice and keep it that way. Dogwood is great and will always be great

INCREDIBLE CD.......2001-10-01

This is the DEFINITELY one of the best CD's I have ever heard. I have borrowed the CD from my friend at least 20 times, and now I'm finally ordering it. The vocals are incredible, awesome guitar work, great rythm, and great message. If your gonna buy any album, buy this, it's a must have. Rockin' with the cross...

Best CD ever!!!.......2001-08-06

This is the absolute best CD I have ever heard. All the songs are awesome. If you get this CD you'll never want to listen to anything else. I'll even go so far to say that they are better than any secular band out there, so if you aren't even a christian BUY THIS CD. My favorite songs (even though they are all sweet) are suffer, feel the burn, never die, control, the pain is gone, and more than conquerors. All the other songs rock also. Their lyrics are christ centered and show god's love. Just do yourself a favor and buy this CD.

Not very unique...but still good.......2007-06-16

First off, as soon as I started listening to the song "Soul Devourer", I instantly thought it was "Repent to Die" by Deicide. Infact, this whole album sounds very much like Legion. But does that make it bad? No, infact this is more of a good homage to good old-school death metal. Meat and potato blast beats, riffs, and growls, no filler that is present on AssassiNation. Out of all of Krisiun's catalog, this is by far the best, and it seems like Krisiun is more than embracing their Deicide influence here.

The best tracks have to be Messiah's Abomination, Ravager, Soul Devourer, and Abysal Gates, but there is not one bad track.

If your new to Krisiun and want some modern sounding old-school death metal in vain of Deicide and Malevolent Creation, get this.

Conquerors of Death Metal........2007-03-05

"Conquerors of Armageddon," Krisiun's debut on Century Media, is a big step up from their previous efforts "Black Force Domain" and "Apocalyptic Revelation." With ex-Morbid Angel axeman Erik Rutan producing this, Alex and the gang really step up their game with better production, musicianship, and songwriting. This is when Krisiun changed from "another Brazilian death metal band" into the leaders of modern death metal.

In this perticular album, Krisiun sounds like a Brazilian old-school Slayer on PCP with a hint of Morbid Angel. Alex's blasphemous vocals and lyrics coupled with Moyses's ruthless riffing and solos and Max's blastbeats make "Conquerors of Armageddon" a modern DM Tour de Force than every metalhead should hear.

None of the tracks suck, but the best songs on here are "Ravager," "Abyssal Gates," "Soul Devourer," "Conquerors of Armageddon," and "Hatred Inherit."

Slap on your headphones, crank your CD player at full volume, crack open a can of Jolt Cola, and go f***ing crazy!!

For those of you who love death metal, but have alway wondered what if the guitar riffs and hyperfast blast beats could be played just a little faster, well here you go. For me personally there's only three things that can ruin a death metal album, bad musicians, corny singers, and weak mixes. Fortunately this album suffers from none of these things.
Protypical death metal played at an insanely fast tempo; it's a winning combination!

Pretty much an solid release by krisiun like they always give us with never an dissapointing or mediocre sound...Only the best of the best! Technical deathmetal doesn't get any better then krisiun & their album conquerors of armageddon such an brilliant sound & the production is truly impressive.Well, as a fan of deathmetal i must say krisiun's sound is one of the most brutal &fast so just buy it! Best song ? "soul devourer" that's my pic as a fav song!! Krisiun rules!!

Death metal madness.......2003-01-25

If nothing else, Krisiun are distinctive among death metal bands for their commitment to playing as fast as physically possible, and "Conquerors of Armageddon" is perhaps the best evidence of this fact. These guys don't have time for things like melody or diversity-they're too busy playing fast. Still, if Krisiun's speed-speed-and-more-speed approach and relentless use of Satanic imagery makes for a somewhat one-dimensional album, it's hard not to admire them for their singlemindedness and ruthless efficiency. They're committed to blaspheming, and to doing it in as fast and harsh a manner as possible, and they do a very good job of it. Moyses Kolesne's twisted, grinding guitar rhythms combine with Alex Camargo's guttural death vocals to create a sound that's about as warm and inviting as January in New England. Drummer Max Kolesne is a human blastbeat machine, and he also contributes some impressive variety on the kit. Max's drumming and Moyses's scorching solos give Krisiun an element of technicality that's essential for good death metal. And yes, this band does sound somewhat like Morbid Angel, but is that really a bad thing? If you like one of those bands, you're sure to like the other. So check these guys out already!

This album will touch you spiritually, it will have you dancing in the isles, or crying in your seat. Either way it was truly a great experience, I own it and would reccomend it to anyone who enjoys gospel music in it's trueist form...vocally. Lift your voices and praise his name. This album does that and more.
