Amazon.com's Best of 2001
The best soundtracks are like movies for the ears, and O Brother, Where Art Thou? joins the likes of Saturday Night Fever and The Harder They Come as cinematic pinnacles of song. The music from the Coen brothers' Depression-era film taps into the source from which the purest strains of country, blues, bluegrass, folk, and gospel music flow. Producer T Bone Burnett enlists the voices of Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Emmylou Harris, Ralph Stanley, and kindred spirits for performances of traditional material, in arrangements that are either a cappella or feature bare-bones accompaniment. Highlights range from the aching purity of Krauss's "Down to the River to Pray" to the plainspoken faith of the Whites' "Keep on the Sunny Side" to Stanley's chillingly plaintive "O Death." The album's spiritual centerpiece finds Krauss, Welch, and Harris harmonizing on "Didn't Leave Nobody but the Baby," a gospel lullaby that sounds like a chorus of Appalachian angels. --Don McLeese

O Brother, Where Art Thou?.......2007-05-28
My 1-year old grandson goes to sleep listening to some of the songs on the album, unless he is bouncing up and down to the faster numbers. I have therefore listened to the songs many, many times, and enjoy them every time. They are easy to listen to, to sing along with and to rock the baby with!
MORE OF AN IMPULSE PURCHASE FOR ME.......2007-05-26
I regretted buying this after listening to it once. I haven't listened to it since and that's about three months ago. Simply put, without the movie to provide a context, the music itself doesn't sell itself. There are four cuts of 'I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow", two by the same artists which goes a long way to proving my point. I haven't seen the movie in a few years and I'm sure there's a logical reason for the song being repeated in the soundtrack that many times, but I can't remember what it is. Sometimes I like roots music with clear acoustic instrumental sounds and soulful voices. But as for an introduction to this type of music for a general listener, this is not the CD to get. It's mostly for the already converted.
A real cheer-me-up CD.......2007-05-22
Couldn't feel bad while listening to this soundtrack - skipped over the serious stuff and just played "Happy"!!
Great Listening.......2007-05-12
What a wonderful alternative to todays so called music. I never tire of the great variety of down home melodies.
For everyone who loved the movie.......2007-05-12
Oh Brother if you liked the movie you will love this CD, a great blend of poignant, funny and foot-tapping music.

A few decades ago nearly every country singer had at least one--often more--gospel albums in their catalog. Today, aside from gospel veteran Amy Grant, who balances the sacred and secular, and Randy Travis, that concept has long faded. For Alan Jackson, however, treating the musical past as present has been a way of life, as it is with these 15 timeless hymns from his youth. Recorded with just two acoustic guitars and a piano, it was originally a private Christmas present to his mother. The spare instrumentation is surprisingly robust behind his flawless readings of "I'll Fly Away," "Softly and Tenderly," "How Great Thou Art," "Are You Washed in the Blood?," and "The Old Rugged Cross," all as beguilingly unpretentious as any of his country hits. Instead of an all-star duet, wife Denise and daughters Mattie and Ali join in on "'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus." In the end, what began as a private bequest becomes a moving, eloquent gift to Jackson's entire audience. --Rich Kienzle
Customer Reviews:
You will love this album.......2007-06-27
This album by Alan Jackson is one of the most inspirational ones that I've ever purchased. The way Alan sings these classic hymns is timeless and touching. I've loved this album so much that I obtained copies for friends at church who have all said that I had no idea of how much they loved this album.
One thing that I will definately recommend to readers of this review- you MUST buy the companion DVD in which Alan Jackson performs these songs live at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The DVD includes 2 songs that weren't shown on the CMT presentation. Alan really gets the joint jumping during the renditions of "Are You Washed in the Blood/I'll Fly Away" The DVD is available through this website. Please get it!
Get Randy Travis instead.......2007-06-24
Not bad, but I still thought a lot of it was over-instrumentalized and some of the timing/tempo was awkward (too slow and/or had lost the rhythm). Randy Travis' _Worship & Faith_ is less melodramatic and easier to sing with.
Wonderful .......2007-06-21
This is the first CD that I have purchased of Alan Jackson. I love country/bluegrass/gospel music.
This is an exceptional CD. It offers a great selection of songs which are sung superbly with sincere warmth. It is one of those Cd's that you can listen to while you are relaxing or just doing your housework.
Please Alan, give us some more gospel recordings like this soon.
Very well done.......2007-06-04
After growing up in church and serving as church pianist for over 20 years, I feel the need to express my disappointment that the hymns are not sung very much nowadays. Today's church song leaders and choir directors prefer to have their congregations sing praise and worship choruses instead of traditional hymns from the hymn book. I'm not even sure that most young people have even heard many, if any, hymns. Worse, many people who do sing hymns don't sing them the way they're traditionally supposed to be sung. I was very pleased, therefore, when Alan Jackson recorded this CD. I saw his concert on TV, and immediately thereafter ordered the CD. Alan Jackson sings the hymns the way they were sung in church when I was growing up... the way they're supposed to be sung. If you ask me, this is worship at its best.
Precious Memories.......2007-05-25
Another great by Alan Jackson, really enjoyable
entertainer. A good DVD to listen to at home or
in the car.

AWESOME!.......2007-07-10
If you enjoy gospel music -- YOU'LL LOVE THIS SET! Elvis' incredible voice is perfect for the soulful lyrics. Plus he picks up the tempo on many of them making them sound more like rock. All of my favorites are on this 3CD set - so I'm very very happy that I bought it. I highly recommend it!
This CD is great!.......2007-07-07
Elvis sings gospel songs like no other! Some of the songs are a litte rough but you have to realize some songs were recorded in his home or at the studio while he is just playing around. The first disc is more of the released songs while some of the songs on the other CD's are live versions or unreleased versions with him laughing and talking. I thoroughly love this set!
Great gospel album!.......2007-07-05
I have always thought that Elvis' voice was never better than when he was singing gospel and this album proves it! Well done remastering, clear, very good sound. Absolutely a must for people who love gospel and Elvis!!

This introduction to the Man in Black's catalog is about as fine a one as can be found on one disc, primarily because the 21 classic tracks span J.R. Cash's entire career, from his first rockabilly single, "Hey, Porter"/"Cry! Cry! Cry!" (Sun Records, 1955), to his last significant alt-country tracks (American Recordings, 2003). Though Cash had his peaks and valleys in the studio, what shines brightly on this collection is how constant--how unwavering--his creativity remained, whether he was writing and performing original material or interpreting the work of others. His voice, too, remained a majestic thing of wonder, even as Cash often sang off-beat; settled his bass-baritone somewhere around, if not on the note; and cared more about power and emotion than strict rules of measure--something that became especially important as illness changed his great oaken voice into a frail instrument. In this way, he was able to infuse novelty songs ("One Piece at a Time," "A Boy Named Sue") with undeniable cool and maintain the poetry of Kris Kristofferson's "Sunday Morning Coming Down" even in the awful advent of a gloppy, too-peppy string section. Other chestnuts here take on new dimension in retrospect. "Jackson," a duet with wife June Carter Cash, seemed almost comedic ("hotter than a pepper sprout") when it was released, but now reveals the couple's own white-hot sexuality, primarily in June's elegant, if straightahead vocal. The surprise of The Legend of Johnny Cash is how seamlessly the newer material blends with the seminal, and how full-circle it sometimes comes: Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage" doesn't seem markedly different from the quietly defiant songs that Cash defined himself with in the '50s and early '60s. Yet the compilation producers, like Cash himself, saved the best for last. "Hurt," Trent Reznor's poignant meditation on addiction, is devastating as written, but becomes a thing of terrible beauty in the ailing Cash's ravaged, autobiographical delivery. Sequenced as the final cut on the album, it ends with a kind of shocking void; stunning in its intensity, dropping the listener off a cliff of something very akin to grief. No artist, no matter what genre, could have planned a more haunting exit. --Alanna Nash
Album Description
The Legend of Johnny Cash spans his entire career for the first time on a single disc. Featuring 21 of his recordings on the Sun, Columbia, Island, and American Recordings labels, it's the first compilation to include his work on American. Also highlighting the package is a 16-page deluxe booklet with photos and essay by author Rich Kienzle.
His Sun Records tracks begin with his first single, "Hey, Porter"/"Cry! Cry! Cry!," a Country Top 20 penned by Cash and produced by Sam Phillips. Straddling country and rock 'n' roll, they scored in 1956 with the Top 10 Country "Folsom Prison Blues," #1 Country/Top 20 Pop "I Walk The Line" and #1 Country "Get Rhythm." Also heard from his Sun days are 1958's "Big River" (#4 Country/Top 20 Pop) and "Guess Things Happen That Way" (#1 Country/Top 20 Pop).
Cash signed with Columbia in 1958 and five years later had a #1 Country/Top 20 Pop hit with "Ring of Fire," a ballad co-written by June Carter, who in 1967 would duet with him on the #2 Country "Jackson" and later become his wife. In 1969, the live Johnny Cash at San Quentin yielded his biggest hit: Shel Silverstein's novelty "A Boy Named Sue" (#1 Country/#2 Pop).
Kris Kristofferson composed Cash's 1970 #1 Country hit "Sunday Morning Coming Down" while Cash himself composed his personal philosophy on 1971's #3 Country "Man in Black," his nickname for the rest of his days. Also from his Columbia tenure are 1976's "One Piece at a Time" (#1 Country/Top 30 Pop) and 1985's "Highwayman" with Waylon Jennings and Kristofferson.
Cash joined Mercury in 1986 and The Legend of Johnny Cash includes a track from that period titled "The Wanderer," a duet with U2 written by Bono and U2, taken from the group's 1993 release Zooropa. That same year Rick Rubin, known for producing rap and rock acts, offered to record Cash singing whatever he chose. 1994's American Recordings, including college radio favorite "Delia's Gone," brought Cash to a new generation and won the Best Contemporary Folk Album Grammy. On 1996's Unchained, Cash brilliantly interpreted Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage" as well as the Hank Snow classic "I've Been Everywhere" and copped the Grammy for Best Country Album. On 2003's American IV: The Man Comes Around, he revisited old favorite "Give My Love to Rose" and gave new meaning to Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt" (the video for "Hurt" was 6 times nominated at MTV's 2003 VMAs and also won a Grammy for "Best Short Form Music Video" that same year). From 2003's posthumous box set Unearthed, The Legend of Johnny Cash adds an early take on "The Man Comes Around."
Customer Reviews:
Excellent Single CD Overview of The Man in Black.......2007-06-29
Johnny Cash's music and popularity has transcended generations and genres. His fans consist of people like myself who don't care much for the current crop of country artists that Nashville is promoting, younger fans who were introduced to his music through excellent covers of Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails tunes and longtime country fans. With a career that lasted as long as his it's hard to narrow his material down to one CD but this collection does a good job. You get his early stuff with the Tennessee Two ("Cry, Cry, Cry", "Folsum Prison Blues", "Get Rhythm") his middle era ("Man In Black","Sunday Morning Coming Down", "A Boy Named Sue")and his amazing comeback on the Rick Rubin "American Recordings" ("Rusty Cage", "Hurt"(dare I say this is better than the NIN version), "Delia's Gone"). All in all an excellent overview of a legendary career.
Cash is the man!.......2007-03-21
Cant go wrong with CD no matter what you listen to. It is full of his signature attitude and style. Not much more to say that hasnt been said about the lengend, Johnny Cash.
"Well I taught the weeping willow how to cry cry cry...".......2007-02-23
Such an excellent CD. Have listened to this over and over so many times. Liked this CD so much that I just ordered Volume II of "Legend". Get it, you won't regret it!
A Pocketful of Cash.......2007-02-09
Johnny Cash left a huge legacy of recordings from a career that spanned six decades, so to condense that catalog into one CD is a nearly impossible feat. This collection comes about as close as one could hope, though - "Legend" starts with his very first single, "Cry Cry Cry"/"Hey Porter" and works through most of the familiar classics: "I Walk the Line", "Ring of Fire", "Jackson", "A Boy Named Sue", and so on into the 70's. Then it jumps to his "comeback" era, starting with his collaborations with the Highwaynen (Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson) and U2. Finally, we get to the sublime "American Recordings", his inspired and moving series of stripped-down and personal performances produced by Rick Rubin, ending with "Hurt", one of the most mesmerizing and cathartic covers anyone has ever done of any song. This is the only single CD on the market, to my knowledge, that tries to summarize Cash's entire career, so that makes it a pretty good introduction to the Man in Black.
Can't stop listening to this cd!.......2007-02-08
It has been wonderful to rediscover the robust voice of Johnny Cash with this cd. The first half of the cd makes you sing out loud with him and the second half is like a story book. You can't go wrong with this one!

Appalachian Stomp is an ideal starter disc for those just beginning to explore bluegrass. Mostly this is because its 18 selections are so immediately accessible. The "classics" here, in other words, are usually those infrequent bluegrass cuts to have gained radio recognition beyond a core bluegrass audience. That explains why along with timeless standards such as Flatt & Scruggs' "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" and the Osborne Brothers' "Rocky Top" we also get "Dueling Banjos" from the film Deliverance, a cut that is to classic bluegrass what Walter Murphy is to Beethoven. There are less immediately obvious choices too, though. If your previous exposure to bluegrass doesn't go beyond the Holy Trinity of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, and the Stanley Brothers--for example, if you've never heard J.D. Crowe & the New South's stellar example of progressive bluegrass, "Old Home Place," or experienced Jimmy Martin lay down the law on his rousing "You Don't Know My Mind"--then you're in for a high-lonesome surprise. --David Cantwell

There are several Cash boxes available, but The Legend--spanning the years 1955-2002 but concentrating on his long tenure at Columbia and, to a lesser degree, his beginnings at Sun--probably belongs at the top of the list. Cash's greatest strengths are dramatized on these four, thematically programmed discs: Win, Place and Show: The Hits; Old Favorites and New; The Great American Songbook (mostly traditional songs); and Family and Friends (collaborations). For starters, consider the staggering depth and breadth of his repertoire (perhaps matched only by those of Bob Dylan and Ray Charles), embracing ancient folk tunes ("Streets of Laredo"), teen pop ("Ballad of a Teenage Queen"), mature contemporary rock ("Highway Patrolman"), gospel ("Were You There When They Crucified My Lord"), topical fare ("Ballad of Ira Hayes"), country standards ("Time Changes Everything"), novelties ("One Piece at a Time"), and more. Then there's the way his spare, spacious sound opens up to take in horns ("Ring of Fire"), strings ("Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down"), anything. The Legend includes seven previously unissued sides, most prominently "It Takes One to Know Me," a stirring salute to his wife June. --John Morthland
NOTE: There is also a deluxe limited edition of The Legend, featuring a lithograph, a bonus disc, and a DVD, and housed in a 120-page, 12" x 16" hardcover book.
Customer Reviews:
Enjoyed by a non-County Boy.......2007-07-17
For $30, a great collection! Some of the earliest music that would be more traditional was not my cup of tea, but certainly worth listening to for its part of American history. The mini-bio and photos in the middle of the package was worth reading too.
Box Set "Johnny Cash ...The Legend".......2007-07-13
I am very well satisfied with the box set. It does help to fill in some obscure areas of his musical accomplishments. There also were several songs he recorded that I was not aware of. Sound quality was very good.
Man In Black........2007-07-01
What can I say? It's Johnny as we all want to remember him. His kind has died out and we will never see a singer larger than life like John Cash.
Bye buddy, we love ya!
Excellent.......2007-05-17
A great collection for someone like me who was really pretty new to Cash's music, since it's a long way from my normal genre. An awesome amount of great music for the money, I love it and wish I'd discovered this music years ago.
It gives a great sampling of everything that Johnny Cash delved into musically, and arranged in a way that lets you listen to an album at a time rather than just skipping to your favorites like some collections.
A great start for a new Cash fan (I can't see how a long time fan could go wrong here either). If you can, pick up the Unearthed boxed set of his American recordings to complement it.
Bottom line, this is the definitive box set for Cash and if you can only get one... this is the one to get.
Awesome CDs, bad packaging.......2007-05-06
This is an awesome collection of Cash tunes. My only gripe is that the CDs come in a large (tall and skinny) book that doesn't fit well into any CD rack.

This impressive--and frankly, fun--musical document is still sending out shock waves almost 50 years after its original 1952 vinyl release. The Smithsonian's six-CD reissue is painstakingly researched, annotated, and packaged (even boasting an enhanced disc for the techno-capable). Unlike field recorders, eccentric filmmaker/collector/musicologist Harry Smith assembled the Anthology from commercially released (though obscure) 78 rpm discs issued between 1927 and 1935. Its broad scope--from country blues to Cajun social music to Appalachian murder ballads--was monumentally influential, setting musicians like Bob Dylan down the path to folk fandom. The White House started its own national music library with the Anthology; anyone with more than a passing interest in American roots music should do the same. --Michael Ruby

Customer Reviews:
THE Chronicles.......2007-07-12
Great stuff. Yet some of the singing is almost too real, too raw. Bob Dylan cites this album as a main inspiration, and you can hear his singing and songwriting style in a lot of the songs. Not for everybody, and may be even too much for casual folk music fans. Has to be listened to in the context of a historical document.
totally essential listening.......2007-02-15
This CD compilation set is more than just an album of music--it's a historical document. I first heard of the AAFM in a Bob Dylan biography--after buying this and listening to it, I can understand how Bob was inspired to ditch his Little Richard aspirations and travel the rugged road of folk. Through the three sections--Ballads, Social Music (mostly instrumentals), and Songs (kind of like ballads, but less story-oriented), this collection not only contains some great, timeless music and performances, it's also steeped in pure humanity--the real essence of true folk music. The people Harry Smith collected and anthologized were mostly just that: folk. People like you and me who love music, and play the songs they've been handed down. You don't have to be Bob Dylan to appreciate and be moved by songs that have been passed down through the generations and soulfully interpreted by many different artists.
Aside from some essential listening ("Coo Coo Bird," "Stackalee," "Mississippi Boweavil Blues," "I wish I Was a Mole in the Ground," etc. etc.), the package has some great supplementary material. It's very interesting to learn about the song information and performer information that Smith collected with his anthology, but it's also interesting to get a glimpse into his project, seeing how he relentlessly collected and chose which songs to represent. He was a true lover of music, and that love is reflected in his project.
Please don't come to this compilation expecting pristine sound quality--it was assembled in the 50's, which means that the recordings come from then as well as much earlier--it's about the music and performers anyway, and a little bit of scratch really doesn't detract that much from the organic, down home experience. It IS a bit of a shame that there are 6 CDs, but really only about 4 full CDs worth of music--it would have been OK with me if the Ballad/Social Music/Songs organization was not cleanly divided between discs to save space, since the division isn't very efficient, but I suppose the reissuers wanted to emulate the original vinyl collection. I don't really find the material to be homogeneous like the second spotlight reviewer does, although I do agree that Roots and Blues: A Retrospective is also a great compilation--I'd recommend getting both for a great complementary experience.
Hopefully this set never goes out of print, as it's a great piece of art that any music fan or musician can learn a lot from--and enjoy, too! It's a shame that Smith had to preserve this music as it was beginning to die out even as he was collecting it, but it's also heartwarming that such classic sounds can be preserved for us to hear so many years later and keep the tradition alive. Enjoy the living history!
The grandfather of the reissue records.......2005-02-21
This collection led to the "re-discovery" of many artists who had dissapeared after when the depression crippled the recording industry. Mississippi John Hurt is probably the most famous as of now, but others, like Clarence Ashley were major finds at the time - and when Folkways sent a field crew to do a new record by Ashley he requested some assist from a young friend named Doc Watson. Watson was unknown outside his home town at the time but went on to become a major star in a field which has very few stars.
Listening to many cuts on this album you can hear the source of much material for folk groups as diverse as the New Lost City Ramblers and The Holy Modal Rounders, rock groups like Canned Heat, and The Grateful Dead. Some of the melodies will be familiar to fans of Dylan, others to Jorma Kaukonan listeners. There are otehrs -- many many others.
This set is the source, the headwaters of reissues, and revivals. An essential part of any folk music collection.
Necessary........2003-05-28
I dont think there is a need to go into to much detail about this *6 CD* set. If you can fork over the cash, just buy it. If you have any interest in roots music, just buy it. If you thought ol' Bobby Dylan and the Band made some great weird music in the basement of big pink in '67 .. for the love of god, BUY THIS! strange, unadorned, raw music , just buy it.
Essential.......2002-11-30
Much ink & many electrons have been devoted to explaining both Harry Smith (and a lot of explanation is necessary -- very interesting man) and this wonderful collection of recordings from the 1920's and 30's, so I won't go into too much detail here. If you'd like a good treatise on the work itself as a cultural object, and how it relates to other thematically similar items, I would reccomend Griel Marcus' book Invisible Republic.
This is the greatest mix tape ever made, and an essential cultural artifact, not only of the vernacular music of the hills & highways of pre-electrification America, but also of the folk movement ofthe fifties and sixties (the primer fromwhic all else was derived) and by extension of the hippy movement following closely thereafter.
SOme of this music is really wild...

THIS CD JUST BLEW ME AWAY. IT'S AWESOME, I MUST HAVE LISTENED TO IT 25 TIMES STRAIGHT THROUGH WITHOUT CHANGING TO ANOTHER CD. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE EVERYONE I KNOW A COPY.
Another great cd.......2007-06-02
Excellent heartfelt songs. Lots of the lyrics make you think about life and what it means. It brings it all around to knowing the Lord!
Three Wooden Crosses.......2007-03-19
It is an awsome cd. I bought this Cd for my husband. We are blessed to have this cd. "Go rest high on that mountain" is a very special song to us. We visited an eldery lady in George West Texas ( we are hosted at different families when in the States doing missions work and also visit several churches.) She lost her husband and while the coffin was lowered they played this song. She shared this song with us. It is so true all the words are there. Thank you Amazon. May the Lord bless you all.
God bless.

Treat yourself to the sweet harmonies of the Everly Brothers, with a CD that has been remastered to underscore their pure sound. The BEST Everly Brothers album you will ever need, .......2007-01-10
Long ago in californialand, i heard the last everly brothers "hit", on the wings of a nightingale, 1 time and i knew I HAD to have it. Took me about 20 years to find it, in this album. If you really like good music, with tight harmonies, good guitar work, words you can understand, a little bit of country and early rock to the still bitchin, fresh, updated sound of nightingale, then STOP RIGHT HERE and get this album. Enough said!
Everly Brothers, best of.......2007-01-09
The Millennium collection seems to have the songs I always want from a group or artist. The quality of the sound is there everytime. As the local music stores disappear it is good to be able to trust a system like this as I replace much of my vinyl for a CD collection. This CD gives me what I want for the Everly Brothers in one purchase.
The Best.......2004-04-01
Any fan who appreciates the Everly Brothers has to have
this album. The remastered sound is superb of course, but
the deciding factor on this one should be the inclusion
of their last hit, after more than 20 years had passed since
their previous one.
After the team reunited, one of their biggest fans wrote
a song especially for them. Paul McCartney wrote "Wings of
a Nightingale" for them, and it is a truly beautiful song
that displays their harmony at its best, and the song is
not usually found on other collections.
Get the best of all their classic early hits, plus this
last hit.
A must have for any fan.

Album Description
Revised with 2 significant tracks and artwork not previously included. When Elvis was growing up, the Presley family attended the First Assembly Of God church in Tupelo and subsequently in Memphis. Elvis's music was greatly influenced by attending these churches, but reglious music came to Elvis in many shapes and forms. Religious songs were often part of the repertoire for country stars on the Grand Ol' Opry - a syndicated radio Nashville broadcast that the Presley's almost always tuned into on Saturdays. As a teen, Elvis and his friends would sneak into churches in the black neighborhoods to catch the lively music of a different musical heritage. The welcoming congregation and uplifting sound opened up Elvis's understanding of the multiple facets of reglious music. ULTIMATE GOSPEL provides testament to Elvis's musical excellence and acknowledges the priceless contribution of the talented songwriters, musicians and producers involved.

ELVIS: ULTIMATE GOSPEL.......2007-05-12
This is the real Elvis. It shows Elvis's true roots. I recommend this cd to anyone who wants to discover the real heritage Elvis left behind.
His BEST single CD Gospel collection!.......2007-03-08
Very powerful performances and of course Elvis' voice is unmatched. He was made to sing Gospel and he puts his heart into every performance. The only Grammies he won were for his Gospel recordings. I know there are many Elvis Gospel collections available, but this one is his best single CD Gospel collection! To top this one you would have to get the 2 CD "Amazing Grace" or the 3 CD "Peace in the Valley" set.
This release is slightly different than the original "Elvis Ultimate Gospel" CD released a few years ago. On this version they added two songs "In My Father's House" and "An Evening Prayer" and deleted "Miracle Of The Rosary". I guess you could say this is the Protestant version of "Elvis Ultimate Gospel". If you like Gospel music and don't want to spend a lot of money on multi-CD releases, I highly recommend this CD.
