My number 1 song is "Better" is excellent, I don't know the young lady who sings the song but she was brillent, my 2nd choice was "When God Say's Yes" Ms. Vanessa Bell Armstrong put her flavor in this song, this is the old Vanessa that I'm use of hearing. Mr Stanfield has done it again. I have had the pleasure of working with him in Baton Rouge, La. Mr Stanfield keep up the good work. God Bless You

      this is the worst cd i have ever heard in my entire life, my ears were litarly bleeding when i heard this excuse for music, it smells realy bad.

      While the rest of this CD is good the work of most interest is Steve Perillo's "Magnificat". This is a recent work (1999) and the soloist are in top form, the music is just beautiful. It might even give Poulenc's "Gloria" some competition!

      This CD contains a nice variety of music, some of which is not recorded very often (Nos. 3, 4, 9, 14). The singing overall is pretty good considering the size of the ensemble (200 voices--none of these works were intended for a choir of this size! ). The diction is good, but the tempi are sometimes too slow and rhythmic (which is uncharacteristic of Russian Church Music). The soloists, unfortunately, need help. The liner notes, despite their brevity, are very good and informative.
