This boxed set is by far one of the best purchases I have ever made. As a Purcell freak, this hits every button I have. The cast of characters include the inequitable Robert King, New College Choir, Bowman, and a host of other venerable persons. Likewise the attention to period performance of these works makes it an essential addition to the library of any serious anglophile/Musicologist etc. Now if only the Britten Realizations of all Purcell's songs could be recorded alongside the originals! You will Love this set!

Listening to David Gough had me reminiscing about the good ol days! His voice just brings it back to when things were good and music was music. I can just lay back and let David Gough sing his praise!
Touching and Uplifting.......2003-03-21
I was really inspired by this album. As I was listening to the songs tears started running down my face because the words in his song is my life experience. No matter how hard I try my best to please people and myself at the same time its always someone who is ungrateful and satisfied. That song really helps strengthen my faith in the Lord and my reliance on Him.
