The perfect companion volume to his first greatest hits volume, GREATEST HITS, VOL. 2 adds to your collection of classic Randy Travis hits in supreme style. LOOK HEART, NO HANDS, FOREVER AND EVER, AMEN and DIGGIN' UP BONES are just three of the terrific tracks you'll find here. A superb album.

Enough terrific songs to deserve the rating.......2002-04-11
This one seems to cover Randy Travis' most commercially successful period. Every song is not terrific, but enough of them truly stand out so much they make the album great. Among them:
-- Forever and Ever - Perfect country song about unconditional love
-- No Place Like Home - Yes, a traditional song, but sung with a lot of quiet dignity.
-- Is It Still Over? - Flat out one of the funniest songs ever written. A love song for couch potatoes.
-- Promises - You're not going to find a song where the singer reaches deeper into his soul
These are the standouts, and the rest of them make for a very enjoyable package.
Randy Travis voice grabs your heart & soul........1999-09-20
There's something about Randy Travis, when he sings its like he's singing only to you. His voice seems to know just what cord inside of you needs to be touched. My husband and I listen to his cds often. Anyone who has never experienced the power of a Randy Travis song has a void in their lives, they should fill immediately. His voice can put a baby to sleep, soothe hurt feelings, open a slammed door and add romance to a beautiful night. I hope he never runs out of material.

These are not the original recordings of Cristy Lane's greatest hits, although they are pretty good recreations. The original recordings from the '70s and early '80s can be found on a Cristy Lane CD called "Greatest Country Hits."

along the lines of His first Greatest Hits Album.you can't deny this Man when He was at His Artistic Soulful Peak.His Voice together with the Memphis Funk band that backed Him up is unstoppable with His Smooth Falsetto."Love&Happiness"&"Full Of Fire" are my Summer time jams!! dig those Horns&His Soulful Pipes on the Groove.Classic.I wish Al Green would Show the Current Crop of R&B Acts how it is truly done??

Deserving of a better-than-average rating.......2002-01-12
It is unfortunate that the earlier reviewer did not find the sought-after song upon purchase of this release. However, the absence of one tune does not warrant a one-star assessment.
This compilation features some of the best in urban contemporary and traditional gospel music. "Heavenly" highlights on the two-disc set are "Love Lifted Me" (L.A. Mass Choir), "I'll Tell It" (New Jersey Mass Choir), "Walk Around Heaven" (Beau Williams), "When Praises Go Up" (Chicago Mass Choir), "More Like Jesus" (Daryl Coley), "Hiding Place" (New Jersey Mass Choir), "Love Isn't Love" (Commissioned), and "Carry Me Home" (Witness).
With others like Andrae Crouch, the Winans, Walter Hawkins, and The Williams Brothers also on hand as contributors, this is an investment for the spirit.
MISSING SONG, THAT'S ADVERTISED.......1999-02-28
I purchased this CD attempting to find a certain song, and the song isn't on the CD after I purchased it. song#8, Fully Committed by the Artisit: Kingdom. I don't know if this is a mistake or a misprint. I need that song. Would you please attempt to find that song for me. If you can't I would like for you to send me the proper information so I can return the CD that I purchased.
