Solid as a Rock.......2003-12-20
I guess I'm prejudiced about them as I have had the chance to meet with the group off and on over the past three decades. They are a solid a group in sound and principles as one is out there. This compilation is some of their best tracks to date whether re-recorded or just brought back to life from the vintage cuts. Whether you are hearing Archie, Troy, Eddie, and Mike, or any of the others who have come on board from time to time there is one thing that is sure. Their sound is rich, on target, and on time. This is a sure-fire gift possibility at any time of the year.

Like an old pair of boots:.......2003-04-30
This group is like an old pair of boots. They just get better and more comfortable with time. I have loved the inspirations since they started. This cd brings back the classics. The song(when I wake up, to sleep no more) is one of the best of all time. If a christain can listen to this cd and not have tears in their eyes, It is more than I can do. Love them forever.

If you like the old fashioned Southern Gospel music, then this CD is one that you will need to add to your collection. It's become one of my favorites.

my grandmother went to be with our God on 3/22/01 at the age of 91. this cd has help me deal with her death so much. i know she is in heaven because she is a christian and the one to lead me to Christ. she was weak and could not walk, but she is now with my grandfather and Christ, and walking the streets of gold. i am looking forward to seeing them both again some day. i had a near death experience 5 years ago and somewhat know the peace she found in heaven. i thank the inspirations for this cd

I pride myself on having a remarkable collection of gospel music, including Southern, contemporary, and vocals. And even though I like Vocals (a cappella style singing) I think that this album is one of the best that I have in my collection. The songs on this album are just great. I have never heard such a wonderful rendition of Stuart Hamblen's classic "This Ole House" and every time I listen to "Sunshine and Roses" I feel uplifted. This album means so much to me because of the songs and the message behind each song. The resounding theme you will get from this recording is the second coming of Jesus (nicely captured in "The last Sunday", one of the best ballads I have ever heard, barring none). The emotion and feeling that "Mexico" is sung with will leave you feeling that indeed this artiste met the Lord in Mexico. You will not be disappointed with your purchase. The Cathedrals are the best
