When Fred Hammond is in the house, you just know that the praise and worship are going to stir your soul. His music is a whirlwind of urban R&B and old-time, righteous gospel. And his message is one of redemption and faith. In that sense, Speak Those Things is similar to previous chart-toppers The Spirit of David and Pages of Life: Chapters 1 & 2. But Hammond, founder and former front man of the renowned gospel group Commissioned, just keeps getting better. "You Are My Daily Bread" and "Lord of the Harvest" kick off the release with high energy, while Hammond follows with the silky smooth "Show Yourself Strong." But the strength of Speak Those Things lies somewhere in the middle, on slower, midtempo tracks like "You Are My Life" and "Great," the latter featuring guest appearances by Mary Mary and the Singletons. Here, the subtleties of Hammond's genius show as he pushes the boundaries of contemporary gospel. While he redefines the genre, Fred Hammond remains an authority of faith. --Michael Lyttle

I just bought this album and I waited a while because I saw one review of the album when it was just released stating that it was not very good. Well, after hearing You Are My Live (#6) on the WOW 2006 album, I simply had to get it and I am not in the least disappointed. Fred Hammond is truly anointed to worship. Anyone who truly loves God would love this CD. As with every other Fred Hammond CD, the words to each song are simply DEEP and can only be a reflection of someone who has a special personal relationship with God and spends time in his presence. BRAVO FRED!

This album is great! I think it can be decieving if you try to quickly listen to the songs, but once you just let the album play you never want to take it out. Fred Hammond did an excellent job mixing it up with new sounds, which I appreciate. The worship songs from this album are inspiring and just welcome in the spirit of the one true God. Fred continues to give us music that glorifies the Lord and our hearts love. I cannot wait until his new album comes out in June 2004.

This is a wonderful testimony of praise and worship. Fred Hammond returns as only he can and continues to minister. I recommend this to all those seeking a "push play" CD ... this is one that you will enjoy from start to finish! ... Let this CD minister to you!

From My Desire to Jesus Is All to Bread Of Life to No Weapon and grimey classics like that and now this guy comes out with an album like this?!!!! Fred Hammond is one of my favourites with eargasmic harmonies, quality musicianship and some of the most relative, inspiring words on this planet!!! Fred you've done it again. I LOVE Lord Of The Harvest, that tune is GRIMEY!!! The horn section is heavy and the bass? Don't get me started!!! Show Me Your Face, Praise Him Through The Night and Everything To Me all stand out. But the BEST TRACK is Show Yourself Strong!!! The vocals, musicianship....EVERYTHING. Fred, u SMASHED IT once again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED without a doubt!!!!
