Its been along time since i've listen to this. The premier music services do not offer it for dowload, so i broke down and brought the album...Still sounds awesome. Klay Scott/Scot albert or whoever he is on this album, shows his uncanny ability to mix the most opposite of sounds to produce a very powerful mix. As you can imagine from the cd cover art (the term "dont judge a book by its cover" does not apply in this case) indicates that the overall feel is one of retribution and bitterness. If your not overly sensitive to this and love metal/industrial/samples, this cd is for you.

I don't know where Passafist came from, why they only made 7 songs, and where they went, but Dave Perkins, already high with praise of his band Chagall Guevera, chose to settle somewhere for a little side-project. PASSAFIST is what they dubbed this piece of work that sought to touch on some industrial styles of music. The CD went on to be a cult classic of work that really made huge fans out of everyone.

The first song is a very jungle warfare kind of song with lots of awesome industrial sound effects and various simplistic echoey vocals like "touch my body!" "breathe your breath into me!". Really a great way to start.

Things really take off with GLOCK. What a performance!! It's got a heavy industrial beat, with a lot of power! The vocals are very screamy but clean enough to make out the words (half of the time at least). It's got lots of incredible emo-rock hooks and plenty of emotion behind every riff. The bridges and interludes just sail on for a good couple minutes and it ends so perfectly!

The third track CHRIST OF THE NUCLEAR AGE actually takes on the same style as GLOCK. Not nearly as powerful, but very catchy and still very industrial.

The fourth track LUV-900 is where you might think you're listening to a different band. The band then takes on a strange new upbeat pop rock sound, but while still maintaining that industrial edge. It's kind of like something by KISS mixed with a bit of the INFORMATION SOCIETY! I love it, and that ending just sails with such powerful emotion. This song will absolutely be adored and praised by real Chagall Guevera fans!

Track 5 and 6 keep the style of Luv-900 going with that pop-rock kind of sound with some industrial nature about it. Great tracks.

The CD is absolutely worth buying especially for the last track, "The Dr. is In". Starts off very ominously with a David Lynch'ish kind of stirring humming sound, while a sound selection from the movie "Dr. Strangelove" plays (love it!). The song then re-connects with the first song of the album, with that jungle beat starting us off. But man, alive, the intro, the verses, the bridges, everything just goes on for minutes on end, and it builds up into something like you've never heard before!

I know it's going to be difficult, but please just go on EBAY and hunt down a copy of this very rare EP. It shouldn't be expensive, but it's so worth it!

    I got this album because it said it had Kevin Max on it, and I'm a big fan of everything dc Talk. But this album is not worth it. Even the song KMax sings on is bad. Really. I couldn't find a single song I liked on it. If you want to buy it because it has him on it, don't bother. Save your money for future stuff.
