My father wore the grooves out of all their albums, and we saw them dozens of times in the 60's & 70's. Shot's voice would go right through you, and that combination of Blair and Shot will never be matched. I bought this one twice and its a shame their earlier recordings, or live performances are not readily available to the public. What's going on with these record companies. Does anyone know if the live recording they made in the 60's with Children are you Ready and Old Time Religion is available.

I've listened to the Violinaires since I was small. We still have my father's 8-track cassette titled "Groovin With Jesus" but it's too old to listen to anymore. It's by GRT Music Tapes and Checker Records. The songs on this album are the ones I am searching for and cannot find. The songs are: Groovin with Jesus, Put Your Hand in the Hand, Let Us Pray, This Old World Can't Last Too Long, Let the Sunshine In, We Got To Live Together, My Sweet Lord, Take Me, and No Back Door. Please help me find this album updated on a CD or cassette.

About Praise Him, this was released on the Prominence/Grammercy Record Label, currently called NuSound Entertainment. I've found used copies of this CD from time to time on eBay. You might try putting in an "alert" there, so you are notified the next time someone offers it for sale.

I have become a great fan of the Violinaires. Their music is so inspiring. However, I cannot find much of their earlier selections, especially on CD. I believe those are their best. The song I am particularly interested in is the Violinaires recorded version of Praise Him. This song is one of their best. The live version is available and is quite good. The recorded version is a classic.

              I THINK THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM OF THE VIOLINAIRES, THIS GROUP HAS A STYLE THAT IS VERY HARD TO MATCH. ROBERT BLAIR AND HIS BACKGROUND SINGERS WITH THE HIGH TENOR SINGERS VOICES IS MY STLE OF SINGING. IF YOU LIKE GREAT SINGING AND LOVE TO PRAISE THE LORD THIS ALBUM IS FOR YOU. YOU CAN`T GO WRONG. ROBERT BLAIR WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BUT HIS LEGENDARY STYLE WILL LIVE WITH ME IF I CAN KEEP IT ALIVE.
