Classic Everly - A Must for all their Fans.......2007-02-18
Treat yourself to the sweet harmonies of the Everly Brothers, with a CD that has been remastered to underscore their pure sound. Played this for my musician son in law who was not familiar with their music and he is so impressed. All the hits are here, sounding better than ever. An outstanding addition to your collection --
The BEST Everly Brothers album you will ever need, .......2007-01-10
Long ago in californialand, i heard the last everly brothers "hit", on the wings of a nightingale, 1 time and i knew I HAD to have it. Took me about 20 years to find it, in this album. If you really like good music, with tight harmonies, good guitar work, words you can understand, a little bit of country and early rock to the still bitchin, fresh, updated sound of nightingale, then STOP RIGHT HERE and get this album. Enough said!
Everly Brothers, best of.......2007-01-09
The Millennium collection seems to have the songs I always want from a group or artist. The quality of the sound is there everytime. As the local music stores disappear it is good to be able to trust a system like this as I replace much of my vinyl for a CD collection. This CD gives me what I want for the Everly Brothers in one purchase.
The Best.......2004-04-01
Any fan who appreciates the Everly Brothers has to have
this album. The remastered sound is superb of course, but
the deciding factor on this one should be the inclusion
of their last hit, after more than 20 years had passed since
their previous one.
After the team reunited, one of their biggest fans wrote
a song especially for them. Paul McCartney wrote "Wings of
a Nightingale" for them, and it is a truly beautiful song
that displays their harmony at its best, and the song is
not usually found on other collections.
Get the best of all their classic early hits, plus this
last hit.
A must have for any fan.

Worship CD.......2007-07-05
A fantastic worship cd with a difference - it will take me a log time to get sick of this one. While I already knew most of the songs, it was good to hear them again differently.
Excellent!.......2007-06-27
I'm a little biased. When I heard his music on the radio I "liked" it, but not "loved" it. However, on a whim, I recently saw him in concert and had a great time. Seeing Lincoln live offered me the opportunity to see the man behind the music. He's a worship leader that loves the Lord and is genuine about who he is and his calling right here, right now.
Lincoln's best...SO FAR!! :D.......2007-06-14
This is a much recommended album from one of the most inspiring artists I have had the pleasure of meeting, and also, working with when at our common church personally...he is truly a class act in person as well...I can remember when he recorded some of the songs on this album, I was totally moved to tears (literally)...
Powerful Praise and Worship.......2007-05-29
Lincoln Brewster is among the best when it comes to praise and worship music. This CD is a great demonstration of that.
From start to finish, this is packed full of very good tracks. At least one is absolutely outstanding: 'Everlasting God'. That tune is amazing. The ending with the child reading from Isaiah 40 is one that may make the hair stand up on the back of one's neck. It is powerful and unforgettable. That song is at least a six on a 1-5 scale.
I highly recommend this CD.
Awesome!.......2007-05-13
Lincoln's "Let the Praises Ring" CD is just awesome from track 1 throughout the entire CD. His guitar playing, band, & vocals uplift you so one cannot help but sing along. What a wonderful voice and musical talent he has been blessed with! You can feel his energy in each song.
Since our move from Northern California, we definitely miss worshipping along with Lincoln and our former church; but, this CD helps A LOT!

7:The Best of Stryper.......2006-03-09
This is a wonderful CD that will take you back to the 80's when the music brought feeling to your listening enjoyment.
Finally !!!! A Complete Stryper Collection.......2005-12-30
When i first listened to "Can`t Stop The Rock" i thought that it was too early for Stryper to make a greatest hits CD back in 1991.Also, i felt somekind disapointed by the selection of songs that were included in that album, except for the real hits, and those were a few.But we have to mention that in 1991, Nirvana and the Seattle movement were the reason for so many bands like Stryper to think they were finished that soon.I personally think that Stryper could have given more. But the time they took was really needed because when they released "7:The Best Of Stryper",the time was right. And in this compilation of songs you can really have the essential Stryper hits with the songs that were not radio hits, but were too damn good to leave them out.I`m talking about "The Way","All For One","Reach Out" and "Makes Me Wanna Sing".The super hits like "Calling On You","Free","Honestly" and "Always There For You" will give you the chills when you listen to them. The two new tracks,"Something" and "For You" are well balanced with the new sound and style of these times but also using the old school. If you`re a fan of Stryper and their legacy, this is the album to have and forever be a "Soldier Under Command".
Grab this one.......2005-12-17
Start this at song 5 and you have the Stryper album to take to the Moon with you!
GOOD INTRODUCTION TO STRYPER.......2005-11-26
This cd is a good introduction to Stryper. Features most of the singles they released including the song "Believe" that was previously only available on the cd Can't Stop The Rock. This compilation also gives you an idea what you can expect from the new cd Reborn as it has two new songs from the band. I think about the only thing I would have added to complete this cd would be the other singles from Against The Law "Two Time Woman" and "Rock The People". I would also include the singles from In God We Trust "I Believe In You" and "Keep The Fire Burining". Maybe adding "Together As One" from Soldiers Under Command and "You Know What To Do" From The Yellow And Black Attack.
All said this is a good start to the band Stryper without having to buy all of the cds. I do think they should have gone ahead and made this a double cd with the above mentioned singles, rare b-sides(Winter Wonderland comes to mind) and some live songs that you don't hear that much of(Against The law,In God We Trust era). Who knows, maybe one day it will happen!
Essential Stryper.......2005-11-25
This CD was made for people like me, who thoughtlessly disposed of their old Stryper tapes (that's right, tapes) and wished they had access to their music once again. This CD spans the entire career of the men in yellow and black - from their humble beginnings on the Yellow and Black Attack EP, to the final release of the hits package Can't Stop the Rock.
Songs have been re-mastered for a high quality sound. Band members chose the contents of this CD themselves, and even wrote 2 new songs (Something and For You) for this release. The new songs are cool but do not compare with their original material from the 80s. Songs like the hit Honestly still carry the same nostalgic power they did back when they were first released. Fortunately, many of their best songs are on this compilation, including 5 from 1986's blockbuster To Hell With the Devil.
Fans of the band will not want to pass up the opportunity to relive Stryper's finest tunes once again! A must-have!

Kings X - A Nice Introduction To The Band.......2007-07-17
It has always perplexed me why Kings X has never gotten bigger than they have. The band has consistently put out solid quality music over the years and even seemed poised for mass commercial success with the "Faith Hope And Love" album with it's hit single "It's Love" back in the early 90's. But, for some reason the public never really latched on to Kings X and to this day they are a club level act still plugging away on the concert trail. This compilation covers the band's first 6 albums and for the most part I really like it. Like any compilation there are many deserving songs that are left off, but for someone looking to explore Kings X this is a good place to start. The band really only had one "hit" with "It's Love", but a few of these songs received some level of airplay on rock radio too. Some of my personal favorites include "King", "Goldilox", "Summerland" "Pleiades", "Black Flag", "Lost In Germany", and "Looking For Love". The album also includes a live version of one of the band's most popular songs "Over My Head". I really like the live version and think it is superior to the studio original, but a lot of Kings X fans will disagree with me on that. The CD also contains 3 previously unreleased tracks all of which are good. The song "Sally" may be the best song about groupies ever written. Overall this CD would be a great jumping off point for anyone looking to explore this long underrated band.
Great band, not a great compilation..........2007-06-18
They are great, but they are missing the really groovy songs. I reccomend collecting all the CDs from these guys instead of getting this. You will appreciate it them a lot more.
BEST OF! Unrecognized Musical Genius! DIG IN!!!.......2007-05-10
King's X has a core following, a cult following, and that includes anyone that has heard their music.
See them live, and you will understand what true musical prowess sounds like. This is the loudest, the most talented, the greatest ungreat rock & roll act ever.
Doug Pinnick, Ty Tabor and Jerry Gaskill are 3 guys from Texas that decided to start making albums back in the 80's. Since that day, they have created a truly unique sound that could only be accomplished by such a talented guitarist, a singer/bassist with pipes built for soul, and a drummer that can hammer louder than 100 roofers on top of your house.
These guys rock. Harmonies abound; the 3 voices mix in a way that you must hear to truly understand.
This album covers the first six releases by the band. It is a compilation of some of their best musical pieces and not necessarily an all-encompassing album. You really just need this to break in to the sound. Go back and get all of the albums after you hear the highlights here, because there are no bad tracks on any of their albums.
This album also includes 3 new songs (previously unreleased) and a live version of their most soulful tune to date, Over my Head.
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD IN THIS WORLD, BUY THIS ALBUM. NOW!
THESE GUYS HAVE BEEN UNAPPRECIATED, UNKNOWN AND UNSUNG FOR FAR TOO LONG!
A good introduction to hard rock's most underrated band .......2006-09-12
The Best of King's X is a good introduction to the most underrated band in hard rock. This collection covers their six albums on Atlantic from 1988's Out of the Silent Planet through 1996's Ear Candy. As with many best-of compilations, most of the best songs are here as well as a few questionable ones. Here is a breakdown of what's included from each album and some comments:
Out of the Silent Planet: "King" and "Goldilox". I can't argue with these selections as they are both the best and most popular songs from the album.
Gretchen Goes to Nebraska: "Summerland" and "Pleiades". First of all, I would recommend all newcomers to buy Gretchen Goes to Nebraska first since this is the band at their very best and the whole album plays like one long highlight. You can't argue with these selections since they are among the most well known. It would have been nice if the studio version of "Over My Head" was included but since the live version from Woodstock '94 is included, I can't complain.
Faith Hope Love: "It's Love", "Mr. Wilson". This is where the band went very poppy. "It's Love" is their most well known track and "Mr. Wilson" is very good. I would have replaced "Mr. Wilson" with "We Are Finding Who We Are" but no big deal.
King's X: "Black Flag" and "Lost In Germany". Although "Black Flag" is the album's most popular song, I would have placed "Prisoner" or "Chariot Song" on here first. "Lost in Germany" is awesome and deserves to be here.
Dogman: "Dogman" and "Cigarettes". "Dogman" is great but I was never a big fan of "Cigarettes." Of all the great songs from this album, I'd probably put "Fool You" on here.
Ear Candy: "The Train", "Looking For Love", and "Life Going By". Both "Looking for Love" and "Life Going By" are great songs and deserve to be here. However, I would have replaced "The Train" with "Mississippi Moon", which is the best song on the album.
As for the unreleased tracks, all three are very cool as "Sally" and "Lover" are both very melodic while "April Showers" shows the band at their funkiest. They're not among their best work but they are not the typical throwaway new tracks you get on best-of collections.
As stated earlier, while I would recommend newcomers to pick up the flawless Gretchen Goes to Nebraska first, Best of King's X is a good introduction to an awesome band and most of the tunes included are among their best work. And if you like what you hear, check out all their other albums. There's not a bad one among them.
Best of Kings' X.......2006-03-13
Not sure if you can only have 14 songs on a best of Kings' X CD. There are so many great songs. Their songs have gotten me through some rough times and some happy times in my life and this was a great collection. I love that there were a couple other songs that are not on any other releases also. They were great.

Best Kept Secrets, a collection of songs from Lamb's first four records, is a reminder of how exhilarating and shockingly modern their music can be. It's also a crash course on the band's precarious balancing act. When they're in sync, the somber torch singing of Louise Rhodes and the twisted proto-jungle of producer Andrew Barlow make for a delicious combination. The band's self-titled debut trumped contemporaries like Portishead, who built songs around the vocals, while Barlow and Rhodes worked on playing up their stylistic contrasts. It's a tough dynamic to maintain though, as later records like Fear of Fours and especially 2003's Between Darkness and Wonder don't quite get the formula right. Laid out in chronological order, Secrets is just like the band's career to this point: It starts off great, but tails off at the end. This being a "best of," however, you notice it less. "B Line" off Fours, for instance, sounds just fine coming after new classics like "Cotton Wool," and even though tracks like "Angelica" are almost painfully safe, they still kick up a nice ruckus. --Matthew Cooke
Customer Reviews:
Sure Glad I Discovered Lamb.......2007-03-23
Found this group in someones best of list on Amazon. Wow! They are already my 2nd favorite band. Hungry Lucy is #1. A very unique singin voice that works perfectly with the kind of music they generate. Lamb has a fuller sound to them than other electronic music bands. They also have a lighter air about their songs. Great songwriting, varied experimentation, and great sound effects. You get a DVD with this album that is one of the best music DVD'S I've seen. A real enjoyable treat. I hope they are still together. After all I am just discovering them. This is great talent and a real positive buzz.
An explosion of sound.......2006-08-09
Given the fact that I have always loved bands as Portishead and Hooverphonic it is a bit strange to only know find out the brilliance that is Lamb.
Sure I had heard Gorecki and some other songs but they never really stuck. Until I rediscovered them about a month ago.
It started with "till the clouds clear" not only a song with great music but also with great lyrics and interaction between the two.
From there I went back to songs as Gorecki, What Sound and Angelika.
This "best of" gives you a great overview of the weirdness and (dis)harmonies this band uses to create their songs and the way it all blends together perfectly.
Ofcourse people are going to complain that songs are not included ( I really miss "What sound" on this one ) but for the person who would like to have a great compilation of one of the best Triphop bands around : get this one.
The real SECRET is why so many songs are missing..........2005-06-24
Despite their dedication to a rabid fanbase and their impressive bounty of exquisite music, Lamb sure can be a hard band to love. After Andy Barlow and Louise Rhodes dropped their sharp, celebrated self-titled debut in 1997, the wait was considerable for 1999's FEAR OF FOURS, and though the shift in sound was different (the organic jazz undertones were pushed to the forefront with the beats mostly secondary), it was a woefully underrated album that I personally feel bested the debut in some ways. In fact, if vocalist Rhodes hadn't somehow morphed from sounding soft and enveloping to sounding like a long-lost member of Alvin and the Chipmunks' sister band the Chipettes, FOF would have been damn near perfect.
Lord knows what precipitated the move towards soft sounds and spackled edges that marred 2001's WHAT SOUND and especially 2003's BETWEEN DARKNESS AND WONDER, but it was probably the band's frequent -- and ultimately fatal -- squabbling that marked the drop-off in songcraft. A recent read of their oft-updated Web site confirms that Lamb is now kaput (although both Barlow and Rhodes are prepping solo material). And so we get a best-of compendium to wrap it all up. It should be a slam dunk. It isn't.
Granted, this is Lamb, and Lamb were superb more often than not. The best moments here -- "Cotton Wool," "Gorecki," "B-Line," "Gabriel" -- are epochal moments that transcend the original tired trip-hop and drum-n-bass tags; although they've never been honoured as such, they're all contributions to dance music in general, and at least as important in legacy as anything by Massive Attack or Moby. There are several other really good songs here, and even at its worst -- namely the BDAW tracks at the end -- BEST KEPT SECRETS is never less than listenable.
But there are simply too many key tracks missing, prompting the question, Who organized the track listing for this album (and who is their dealer)? Sixteen tracks and five of them -- five! -- come from their maligned, uneventful swan song (BDAW). When a band does this it is obvious they are trying to reintroduce material that was ignored the first time (and often with good reason). I have to say, it's pretty thoughtless toward the listener and unfair to the body of work as a whole.
For instance, what good is a Lamb retrospective without "Lusty," which is not only the most intriguing and original track off their debut but also, as most Lamb fans will attest, the most adored? And where's "Softly" from FEAR OF FOURS? It's their hands-down finest slow song and probably the closest they came to a potential crossover hit. Its absence is especially puzzling as it was released as a single (as was "I Cry" from WHAT SOUND, which isn't here either).
I'm also curious who this album is for. The suspect choice of material suggests it was intended as more of a collection of Lamb's most "important" or "interesting" work rather than their best or most popular, which would make it more appropriate for existing fans than newcomers. If this is the case, a couple of rarities would have softened the blow of the missing songs. Lamb had way more remixes than B-sides (some of which were quite stirring), but I would have at least made room for their delicious jazz rendition of "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes." Canadian fans like myself would also have found the addition of "Written" a nice treat, as it was needlessly omitted from our pressings of WHAT SOUND.
Alas, it's hard to recommend BEST KEPT SECRETS when modern technology can assist you in making a best-of that is so much more. I feel bad making such a statement regarding an album by one of my favourite bands of all time, but this is such an off-the-mark representation of Lamb's successes that I really feel compelled to tell any curious purchasers about what BEST KEPT SECRETS should have been.
My dream track listing (for anyone who cares):
1. Lusty
2. Cotton Wool
3. Trans Fatty Acid
4. Gorecki
5. Little Things
6. B-Line
7. All In Your Hands
8. Softly
9. Fly
10. What Sound
11. Sweet
12. Heaven
13. Gabriel
14. Til The Clouds Clear
15. Written
16. The Night Has A Thousand Eyes
Ethereal trip hop from the UK!!.......2005-06-06
While walking through the departure lounge of London Heathrow to catch a flight, I heard this beautiful, crystal clear voice set against an ethereal trip hop backdrop. I backtracked and inquired who the artist was and was told it was Lamb.
I decided to get this CD and it is my introduction to Lamb, and a very good one for someone (like me) who was totally unfamiliar with their stuff. There was some stuff that needed repeated plays to get into but well worth it.
Lamb are a trip hop/electronica/drum `n bass duo from the UK, comparable in style to Portishead or Tricky. Their songs are usually musically complicated (`Cotton wool', `Gold', 'God bless', `B Line' for example) but with catchy vocals.
The track that got me, `Gorecki' is a charmer. Other great songs are `Lullaby' (which will NOT send you to sleep, I promise), `Heaven' (lilting song that about takes one there), the beautiful instrumental `Til the clouds clear', the hypnotic sounding `Wonder', `Please' (a gentle ballad sung in a pleading voice), and my favourite, `Gabriel', a lush dramatic number with jazz flourishes, comparing one's lover to the angel Gabriel.
Accompanying each track in the booklet are personal notes on the making of/inspiration behind/etc each track, which I found to be a real treat.
There is an accompanying bonus DVD with 7 videos (6 of which are tracks featured on this CD).
This aint the best.......2005-03-08
If I had done this compilation I would have made the track listing look like this.
1-God Bless
2-Trans Fatty Acid
3-Gold
4-Gorecki
5-All In Your Hands
6-Bonfire
7-Lullaby
8-One
9-Sweet
10-Scratch Bass
11-Wonder

Yes, this CD is redundant, but great!.......2006-02-25
As numerous reviewers have noted, this CD was released after only two (two amazing) albums by Plumb. The official word as I understand it is this: The contract Plumb had with the label stipulated 3 albums. This release satisfied that requirement. While I'd recommend that you obtain the original two discs, you certainly wouldn't be doing badly to get this one if you don't plan to do that. This is one of my favorite groups. If you even listen to the clips you should see why that's true. The albums released after this have been great in their own right, just a little mellower.
Proof that categories are just a name.......2005-10-09
I think I have an advantage by starting with this CD. Long time fans seem taken back by this, stating whether Plumb should've opted for a 'Greatest Hits' collection so early in their career. The only reason I was introduced to Plumb was because of their song on the Brokedown Palace soundtrack, Damaged. So with me starting with this CD I get the opportunity to see the highlights these young guns have had in their short time. One thing that did kind of make me wary of buying this, and the only thing at that, was the fact that they sing Christian music. I don't like to be preached to when I listen to music, I like to be entertained. And, sadly, Christian music has a tendency to preach. Plumb, however, doesn't fit into that mold. If you wouldn't read any reviews for this CD, you wouldn't ever gather that they were a religious band.
We start this disc with the insanely catchy Here With Me. This song really baffles me. I can't understand why mainstream radio didn't completely grasp this. To the casual ear it's merely a cry to an old flame. This kind of song is popular right now. Radio's loss I suppose. Sobering is another track that sounds fit for normal radio play. Very catchy and an extremely upbeat vibe to it. Late Great Planet Earth surprised me. Knowing this is the band that made Damaged, I didn't expect to ever hear anything like this from them. This is an outright rock track with catchy guitar parts and a wonderful chorus that you'll never forget. Who Am I? is the next track. A worthy follow-up to such a juggernaut track. Great lyrics mixed with a beat that follows the vocals so nicely is always a winning combination. Now we move to the song that made me want this CD, Damaged. I think this is the dreamiest track this disc offers. The vocals are perfectly distorted to sound like Tiffany is singing into a tunnel. The music is so complex that you'll be listening to it over and over trying to take in everything it has to offer. God-Shaped Hole is the only outright Christian song on here. But even this song is presented in such a way that it doesn't bring down the listen. It's a very nice track and is worth being included. Pennyless is the last real track in this collection. It's a nice song that shows the listener just how amazing Tiffany's voice is. The only drawback is that it's so short, weighing in at only 3:01. The remixes close out the CD. They're all equally good, I'm just not one for remixes. I find they take away from the experience. These are some of the better ones I've heard though. So, a nice inclusion.
Overall, a few of my favorite songs on here are Here With Me, Late Great Planet Earth, Who Am I?, Damaged, God-Shaped Hole and Pennyless. I almost didn't buy this CD simply because of the way Plumb are categorized. Although I still don't like the genre, this is one band I will follow from here on.
Undecided.......2005-07-04
Hi, the review that mentioned that this girl wrote that great Mandy Moore song really interested me into listening to all the snippets on here and I liked them. Plumb kind of sounds like the best of Jewel/Dido and Garbage combined, but I am unsure whether to get it or not. The last mixed/christian cd I got was Stacie Orrico, and I ended up only relating to the "seccular" -if that's what they call it - songs. ?
Did I miss something?.......2002-10-22
This has to be one of the stupidest ideas to have come to fruition lately. A greatest hits for a band that has done all of....TWO albums! First off, Plumb is a great band (see my review of CANDYCOATEDWATERDROPS) but they do not deserve a greatest hits. It's a shame because I would like to be able to say that the 'Christian' music industry is less concerned with making dinero than their secular counterparts. Unfortunately, projects like this show that to be untrue. After all, if people will dish out the money...the joke's on you music buyer. Two stars because some of the music is good, but who wants FOUR remixes? Jeez. What a joke.
Outstanding!.......2002-08-18
Plumb really appealed to me because their music is a mixture of rock and christian. Tiffany Arbuckle's voice is beautiful and she sings with such grace and emotion. It is difficult to choose a favorite track on here because all of them are excellent. I'd highly recommend this album. It's a great variety of cool music! You have to love Stranded, Concrete, and Damaged.

I LOVE THIS CD!!!.......2007-01-28
Okay, if you haven't bought this cd yet, what are you waiting for?! it is truly an awesome albulm that includes many of Jump5's greatest hits, plus three new songs that rock! Jump5's music is positive and upbeat, and this Cd will definetly have you dancing when you listen to it- even if its your first time listening. The best songs are Spinnin' Around, Beauty and the Beast, Beautiful to Me, All I Can Do (THE ABSOLUTE BEST), It's a Beautiful World, and Friends. anyways... BUY THIS CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DEFINITELY worth buying!!.......2006-06-12
This cd has all of jump5's best hits on it. I own all of their other cd's (including their christmas one and their remix cd). Although it may seem like a waste of money that I bought this, even though I already knew most of the songs, it had 3 new songs on it and a song I didn't even know before! I'm really glad I bought it! To me, this cd was NOT a waste of money. The new songs were great! I thought long and hard about whether or not I should buy this, and decided it was worth it! Here's my rating for each song.
1. Spinnin' around - 10/10 Awesome song! This was the song that made them so popular! This song makes you want to dance, it's also the first jump5 song I ever heard!
2. Throw your hands up - 10/10 GREAT! This song also makes you want to dance. It has a fast beat!
3. Don't run away - 10/10 Wow, I love this one! It's one of their new songs, and it has a great tune and great lyrics!
4. Beauty and the beast - 10/10 Better than I expected! At first I thought this song would sound stupid because it's a remake of the fairy tale "beauty and the beast" but it's actually a good one! It's got a great beat, and Brittany and Libby sound great together!
5. Beautiful to me - 10/10 Another new song, and another great tune! Brittany is amazing in this, as well as Lesley. Not only does this song sound good, but it is very uplifting and encouraging. It's definitely worth a listen.
6. All I can do - 9/10 This is another one of their well-loved hits. It has a really good beat, and good vocals.
7. God bless the U.S.A. - 10/10 This one is a classic! I've never heard the original version of this, but I heard it's much worse than this one! It's a great song about our country!
8. Do ya - 6/10 Gosh, what have they done to this song? For some reason, they remade this song so that Brittany sang ALL of the lyrics, and it's not right!! on the album that this song originally came from, Libby and Lesley sang some of the parts, but they changed it! It ruins the song quite a bit, I do love this song, but on this cd it's different, so I'm giving it only 6 out of 10.
9. We are family - 9/10 Cool! This song has a nice, dancy beat!
10. Dance with me - 10/10 This song is AWESOME! It makes you want to just get up and dance! I'm not at all surprised that this is one of their greatest hits from their album, "Deaming in color."
11. It's a beautiful world - 10/10 Another goodie! When I first heard this song, it became my other one of my favorites on the dreaming in color cd right after i heard it. My other favorite is dance with me. I'm glad THIS song became a hit, too! And the music video is great!
12. Friends - 10/10 Beautiful! And this is another new song! It has a great message. I love it!
Thanks for reading my review! I hope it was helpful! And even if you have jump5's other cd's, you should still get this one, cuz if you liked the other songs, you'll love all the new ones! I recommend this cd for all jump5 fans!
Love, Caitlin :) (I know it says my name starts with an M at the top, but that's not me that's my mom, I don't have my own amazon account, I'm 16 years old, so I use my mom's!)
Oh please, no........2006-03-24
I had the misfortunate to hear these little twerps attempt to choke out some lyrics, if you can call them that, and I have to admit...it made me cry. Not with joy, but with shame, for having forced my ears to endure such a terrible ordeal. Woe is me.
On a list of horrible atrocities commited by mankind, this record falls somewhere between N*Sync's first record and the actual Holocaust. How people can give them five stars without Hell freezing over is beyond me.
The ULTIMATE cd of their latest and greatest hits!!!.......2005-12-01
This cd is packed with all of Jump5's best songs so far with 3 new songs not yet released! It would be a GREAT way to releive boredom!!!
A Definate Treat .......2005-11-21
Jump5, the now Christian centered pop quartet (Libby disbanded to persue a higher education) debuted at a time when the A-Teens and S Clubs alike were trying to make a splash into the pop scene. Rather than just focusing all their songs on crushes on boys or getting down at the nearest club, Jump5 had meaning to their music, which makes them one step above the rest. Hidden under the pop beats, smooth lyrics, and overall freshness is the message of God and the love he has for his children.
Though they never had a huge hit like S Club 7 ("Never Had A Dream Come True,") they still had what were considred hits, even if it wasn't the Billboard 100. The overly sweet "Spinning Around" and "Throw Your Hands Up" start off the album nicely along side one of their arguably best tracks and remakes, "Beauty and the Beast."
As for the new songs, "Friends" is the highlight of the three, with a more mature sound and stunning vocals from Brittany, Leslie, Brandon, and Chris. The four sound better than ever, including their first singles without Libby, "Dance With Me," and the more laid back, "It's A Beautiful World."
If there is one downfall, it's that not all the albums are represented fairly. Their debut album fills up most of the album, as "All The Time In The World" is represented by one of Jump5's best songs, "All I Can Do," while Accelerate is represented by "Do Ya" and "We Are Family." It would have been nice to see "Summertime Song" or "Walking On Sunshine" on here as well.
Even though most will consider this cliche since S Club and A-Teens released their greatest hits albums, Jump5 isn't trying to use it to bring up record sales with rumors of a departure. Instead, Jump5 insists of letting the music play and having fun and with this album they ultimately deserve to do so. Keep rocking, Jump5!

COUNTRY GOSPEL AT ITS BEST.......2002-09-01
This is REAL Country Gospel at its BEST. The CD is absolutely fantastic. Song after song brings back fond memories of the Hee Haw television program. The music will lift your spirit and provides comfort for the troubles of the past as well as courage for the challenges of today. The richness and quality of the music was not "mixed" out in the studio. It is just like having Buck, Roy, Grandpa Jones and Kenny sitting on your front porch singing these songs just for you. If you like Country Music, Country Gospel or are a Hee Haw fan this is a MUST HAVE CD. You won't be sorry you made the purchase...I'm not!!!!
What happened to the original recordings?.......2001-08-14
The producers seemed to desire money rather than the genuine. What's an electric guitar doing in the background? Are the singers really the original four? There's little in the music industry that promotes the genuine. I give this CD one star.
Deadly awful stuff, a sacrilege.......2000-08-24
Please note what I'm writing here applies only to Vol 1 of "The best of the Hee Haw Gospel Quarter." I haven't heard Vol 2.
Some cretin, with the first volume, decided to add electric guitar and piano to all the cuts, and in the process of doing so, destroyed all the authenticity of what began as masterful renditions of traditional church music.
Once upon a time I owned all the HHGQ albums --seems like there were at least six of them-- on cassette, and when they either wore out or were borrowed and never returned I bought Vol one of "The Best of..." I've seldom, if ever, been so disappointed in a music purchase. Doesn't deserve any stars at all, but Amazon insists on at least one.
I gave the CD to my sister, who is not a particularly discerning listener, and to be honest, she loves it. But if you think Vol 1 of "The Best of the Hee Haw Gospel Quartet"represents what used to be played on the TV show, you'll be sadly mistaken.
Comforting Hand and Memories.......2000-06-24
As a child, I can remember my grandparents watching Hee Haw. I recently lost my grandfather and I decided to buy these CD's to help comfort me. I can't go one day without listening to them! They bring back memories of my childhood and the songs have helped me deal with his death. I loved them soooo much, I bought my mother and grandmother copies too! They love them as well! I hope there will be a Vol 3 & 4!
Great Singing.......2000-03-18
I am a diehard HEE HAW fan and I am always inserch of great music rom HEE HAW and I recamend this one to anyone who is a quartet fan. I always did like the HEE HAW Quartet.

Five stars but NOT "Best Of".......2007-02-20
Anything this good by Russ Taff gets five stars, of course. However, this recording will be appreciated more by his new fans than those who knew him before the Gaither Vocal Band times. Taff has always been the greatest male gospel vocalist I've ever heard, with a rock / blues / folk intensity that has to be heard to be believed. Having said all that, this recording is COMPLETELY MISNAMED. It is the best of the "new" Russ Taff. If you really want to hear the "best of Russ Taff" (and don't mind a lot of aggressive rock / country rock guitar in the mix), skip immediately over to "The Way Home," in my opinion one of the top five Christian rock / pop recordings ever. Or you could pick up "We Will Stand--Yesterday and Today," which is the "best of" collection of the "other" Russ Taff (and which includes several songs from "The Way Home"). "We Will Stand" also has many early songs, including some from the Imperials years as well as the anthem-like title track. Now I realize that this review is more about other Taff recordings than about this one being reviewed. However, I just didn't want anyone fooled by the title. If you saw Russ on a Gaither television show and want that style--this recording is for you.
For old and new Russ Taff fans.......2003-04-17
This album is a must for any Russ Taff fan. All the songs are songs from his past except for one new song. Any of his previous recording are redone so that all sound great. This isn't as rocky as some of his older stuff, but this gives you a chance to hear his great voice.
