Customer Reviews:
Great Album.......2007-04-28
This was a really good album it kindve gets lost in the shuffle considering that it is the one that comes just before "Snakes in the Playground". Trust me on this you will like this album.
Ready for Radio.......2006-07-14
After "Live to Die" and "Silence is Madness" I had high exceptions for the new Bride album of my favorite Christian Heavy Metal band at the time. What happen
to the speed metal...gone...no screaming vocals.
Was this a change to a more commercial metal or Hard Rock?
Oh NOOOO... Bride changed styles here {even the cool cover art stuff was gone.}
This is still a metal album at times but mostly Hard Rock with a couple of good songs like
Troubled times, Ski Mask, Everybody Knows My Name.
Great vocals, lyrics are excellent,
Songs with lots of hooks,
This album would and did appeal to an even wider audience than the first Few Bride albums.
If you like commercial Hard Rock {Aerosmith} you will like this.
After all these years with this CD I never play it.
Man, I was so bummed about this CD at that time I only bought a tape of the next Bride album.
Kinetic Faith - Bride.......2005-01-25
Although not as good as "Show No Mercy" or "Live to Die" this is still an excellent Cd. Troubled Times is a great song and also was made into a cool music video. In my opinion one of the most unique songs Bride has ever done is "Sweet Louise" a tribute to Dale and Troy's Grandmother. I love the mandolin in this song.
Great Christian Rock.......2003-07-21
Bride is Rock with a mesage. So much rock is based upon the world. Not Dale and Troy Thompson. These guys have been rocking since the late 1980's Kinetic faith is Awsome as mosst all of Brides stuff.
The apex of the LORD'S music toward the end of hair metal.......2003-03-22
Dale Thompson and the guys had a big hit with this among the fans of Christian rock. Each track bears a theme leading its listener to think about where he/she is living on the path that the Lord has pre-determined for him/her. From politics to our own relationships, Bride rocks and employs lyrics inspired by the Divine to talk to listeners. Oh yeah! Not only is the message great, the MUSIC is GREAT, too!!!!!!!

Customer Reviews:
the nostalgia gene kicks in.......2007-02-20
before BRIDE became BRIDE, they were known as MATRIX and they released a few demos on the 80's metal/hard rock club circuit. i got turned onto BRIDE through a buddy of mine who lived in my neighborhood when i was 13 years old. as a budding metal head into Crue, Ratt, Cinderella, i liked what i heard. then my friend let me copy his original tapes of MATRIX demos. these were far different than the band that they would grow to be.
While BRIDE embraced an epic, thrashy metal realm full of gothic images, dragon slayings, and other DIO-isms; Matrix was a much more stripped down affair. their songs built on hard rock riffs and a knack for some new wave styled pop melodies. in fact, you might think of Matrix as a more rockin' version of The Cars. another point of reference would be the awesome, although obscure group, The Jesters Of Destiny.
these songs really seemed to capture my attention when i was a kid and i recall playing thenm endlessly. well, i was absolutely chuffed to find that these were released on cd and i ordered mine and have been listening to it with much joy. i'm not exactly sure that these would be so great to me if i had not heard these when i was younger. because, even though i like these songs alot, they are certainly on the cheesy side of things. but any lover of good music can't help but notice that there are tons of great songwriting that is beginning to take form in these early recordings. fans of heavy metal might not find much to rock out to, but those interested in discovering unknown new wave/hard rock artifacts from the past might find quite a bit of interest in cd1 of this release. for me, it's been great revisiting these songs after many years.
40 of Bride's greatest songs.......2006-02-09
For fans of Bride, this is a must have. Both CD's together have 40 songs from the early days of Matrix through the Bride songs of the Lost Reels. Several of the songs did make it on to later Bride releases. All of Bride's music rocks, but this is so unique because it covers all of the early years of Bride dating clear back to 1982. The music is full of power and energy. What a deal for 40 recordings!
