Customer Reviews:
Very Spiritual album .......2006-12-16
John Michael Talbot's albums often sound like mid seventies John Denver productions, except that he is a far superior songwriter, and has a Christ centered emphasis.
His brother Terry is also an accomplished musician, and this release catches the brothers together at their best. The vocal harmonies on the chorus of the title track life the song into the stratosphere, and the joyful pronouncement of "He is Risen" recalls Keith Green's "The Victor."
The achingly beautiful "We Will Rise" is a soaring song that looks ahead to the promised resurrection. "Lady Poverty" is a pretty ballad where the singer resolves to live the same sort of spartan existence that our Lord did when He walked the earth.
"Isaiah 58" is another tremendous song which recalls some of Don Francisco's jeremiads. It is a song calling us to practice our fasts and our rituals while also having an eye toward justice for others who are less fortunate.
This is inspiring, top shelf stuff from the Talbot brothers.

Customer Reviews:
The songs are energetic and wonderfully placed on the album........1999-11-17
I was very pleased with the album and the songs that were on it. They were full of energy and David's talent really shined through on this album. His style, yet laid back, is very energetic and they make you want to get on your feet and sing along, which is what I have been doing riding down the road in my car.
