Editorial Reviews The music is eclectic in style, ranging from classical art song to pop, jazz, gospel and country, but is integrated through clever musical bridges. Music is fully orchestrated and incorporates sound effect design as well. The vocal artists are talented yet relative unknowns. The 70 minute CD includes a simple but elegant 40 page booklet of the poems, so listeners can follow along easily.
About the Artist
Leo Marchildon is a composer of rare eclecticism, who feels equally comfortable writing for stage, screen and television as well as the legitimate concert hall. He has written the music for the Canadian television series "Wexford" and has acted as music editor for "The Adventures of Sinbad" and "Rainbow Fish". He has toured internationally as keyboardist for "Phantom of the Opera", "Kiss of the Spider Woman" and "Sunset Boulevard" and transcribed Carl Stalling scores for "Bugs Bunny on Broadway" as well as being principal pianist for the show . He has recently completed a New Age Meditation Series entitled "Facing the Dawn" based on the book by Patricia Brennan.
