The Very Album That Began This Gospel Legacy.......2004-08-23

MOST YOUNG PEOPLE DONT REMEMBER THE BEGINING OF THE WINANS LEGACY THAT STARTED A NEW ERA IN MUSIC. I HEARD THIS ALBUM ABOUT 2O+ YEARS AGO AND JUST RECENTLY HAD THE PLEASURE OF LISTENING TO IT FOR THE FIRST TIME AGAIN. THIS ALBUM DEALS WITH THE LORD IN GOSPEL LOVE BALLADS SUCH AS HOW GOOD IT FEELS TO BE LOVED AND YOUR GOODNESS,MERCY AND GRACE. THE QUESTION IS IS OUTSTANDING AND IS STILL A GREAT LOVE SONG TO THE LORD.IT DEALS WITH RESTORATION AND SELF DENIAL THE SONG SELF HAS TO DIE DELIVERS A POWERFUL MESSAGE ALONG WITH A FUNKY BEAT. THIS ALBUM IS A CLASSIC AND IF THE YOUNG PEOPLE REALLY WANT TO DANCE AND SING FOR THE LORD THIS IS DEFINITLY AN ALBUM FOR YOU. MAYBE THE SHOULD RE RELEASE IT TODAY IM SURE IT WILL GET THE PROPS THAT IT DESERVES AND REMEMBER THE WAY TO THE GATE IS ACTS 2 AND 38.

I borrowed this album from a friend and hated to give it back! "Paradise" starts out the album, making you click your fingers along with the music. They show their love for the Lord through their music and I hope they don't stop at the first album! You'll love this album if you like jazz and blended harmonies too.

Unmistakably The Best.......2003-11-01

This CD is awesome from begining to end. It unmistakably one of the best Winans performances. The Perfected Praise Choir is just that. In the title piece Worthy is Lamb the orator alone will make you remember that spirit filled moment that you were saved.
The CD has a wide range of music from traditional gospel to new school gospel that will give you an overall feeling of satisfaction.

This has to be one of the BEST, if not the BEST album I have heard in several years! This album came out at a time when Gospel had more of a hip-hop sound, so overall, I would have to say it was overlooked. If you are looking for good singing, good lyrics, good song arrangement, good variation of quality instrument sound, and spiritual movement, then this is the album for you! It has a modern, yet old school feel to it, with a touch of SPIRITUAL jazz and SPIRITUAL soul. The only downfall of Marvin Winans and The Perfected Praise Choir is, they need to come out with more cds/tapes. In conclusion, this has to be the best choir since the Mississippi Mass Choir!!!!

I truely understand how complex a gospel recording choir session can be, but this was a great one. Every section of this mass choir nailed their part nicely. And "Jesus Saves",,, I know I don't have to say anything about this song, but it was just truely magnificent.
