4 out of 5 stars Salute to America.......2006-07-27

Very similar in quality and music to I Love A Parade and a very upbeat reminder of why we are a patriotic nation. The arrangements and quality of the songs are great.

4 out of 5 stars A good choice but..........2005-06-29

It is not the best CD that I have bought but it is an honest one. The orchestration is good, the choice of tunes is excellent and the tunes are well played. As you know, it is always difficult to say : I like it or I hate it because hearing a CD is a question of personal point of view. In my case, I may not say that I like it or I hate it, I prefer some other orchestration but it us a good CD.

2 out of 5 stars Ho-Hum.......2005-06-08

I wanted some rousing marching music. This album is half asleep. The sound quality is poor. Apparently Mr. Williams writes better music than he conducts.

5 out of 5 stars "Boston Pops".. Alway's do the Job!.......2001-10-03

John Williams/Boston Pops.. Salute to America.

And they do! They salute America! This is a wonderful C.D
Battle Hymn of the Republic, is great..

New York, New York, will bring tears to your eyes!
12 renditions in all..

All these are performed wonderfully, and well worth the money!

I would recommend this to anyone who loves patriotic music, it will stir the heart and soul of Americans....

5 out of 5 stars Full-Spirited.......2000-09-02

I'm a classical music/opera person for the most part. But I find this CD entralling. Even the organization of the CD is ideal-almost like a symphony--with the rousing Candide Overture and the musical medleys at the beginning, the patriotic songs as the B section, and the Dixieland and other music from American musicals to finish up. And I particularly like the orchestration of the medleys. A wonderful CD.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Breathtaking Live Peter Green Fleetwood Mac.......2005-08-14

Yes, this is the best of Peter Green live performances from his days leading Fleeetwood Mac. Performances are highlights from the three volumes of Boston Tea Party recorded in 1970.

The band is at the height of it's powers at this time. They had planned to release a live album, but Peter left soon after these shows & so it wasn't released at the time.

The guitar playing is out of this world. Unreal. The guitar interplay between Green & Kirwan on some of the greatest jams ever. The song Encore Jam has guests Joe Walsh & Eric Clapton.

Black Magic Woman was later adopted by Carlos Santana. Green Manalishi was later changed around and played by Judas Priest. The song Oh Well has also been covered by numerous bands.

After one listen to these performances, it is easy to see why fans hold Peter Green in such high regard.

Fans of: Clapton, Allmans ,Santana etc.. will love these 2 discs.

According to the label; Both Rattlesnake Shake(24:38) & Jumping At Shadows (4:48) are from Volume One. Got To Move is from Volume Three.

Sound quality is excellent.

For the 2 CD's included at this price, it is a great deal.
This is the place to start if you want to get into Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.

4 out of 5 stars The definitive introduction to Peter Green-era FM.......2000-05-27

4-1/2 stars. I picked up this gem at a record store in the Import section, although for an import it seems to be pretty commonly distributed. These cuts are from the same sets as the "Live at the Boston Tea Party" series, with the same excellent remastering as those discs. This collection is more concise, but you should note that the "Encore Jam" with Joe Walsh and members of the James Gang has an additional 6 minutes over the jam issued with the "Boston Tea Party" discs. That fact alone should get you interested, but what I like about this disc is that you get an excellent spread of the true gems from those concerts : The absolutely riveting "Jumping At Shadows", a headbanging version of "Oh Well", the jazzy, nimble "Only You", and a 28-minute workout of "Rattlesnake Shake" from the second night that is absolutely astounding and must be heard to be believed. Oh yeah, and "The Green Manalishi" with Peter Green soloing on a 6-string bass (he started out as a bassist, dontcha know) ! The liner notes are decent and informative, although they dubiously claim that a "low-key Eric Clapton" was involved in the "Encore Jam" on disc 2.

The only problem with this set is that they could have given us more! I would have liked either the inclusion of "Coming Your Way" from disc 3 of the original BTP 3-disc set, or the compression of some of the shorter tracks on disc 2 to get "Rattlesnake Shake" from Disc 1 of the BTP. Still, close to two full hours of the Mac at the heights of their powers, coupled with the reasonable price tag, makes this essential for blues fans and oldschool mac fans, and for people like me, who are going retro to discover the greatness of the band's earlier days. For the fanatics though, you might want to skip this and look for "The Boston Box" which has a more complete selection of all three nights.

5 out of 5 stars SLAUGHTER ON TENTH AVE- Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops.......2007-03-14

On this album, recorded in 1958, Fiedler is at its best. "Slaughter on Tenth Ave" is a great musical score and a famous black and white, gangster film was made of it back in 1951 and released in 1952, starring Richard Egan.
This album is another reason why the Boston Pops is my favorite classical orchestra and the late maestro Arthur Fiedler was a true master of his profession. His work will never be forgotten. Having lived in Boston for nearly 17 years, made the Boston Pops my favorite of the genre.
I highly recommend this album.

5 out of 5 stars Great Ballet Music CD - Buy It!.......2005-09-25

This CD is a great collection of modern-style moving ballet music by famous composers. Really swings!
Nice range of music styles, excellent orchestration & performances.

Serious music lovers shoud buy it!

5 out of 5 stars It's a starry, moonlit night in 50's Manhattan...........2003-02-16

...And this album is the perfect soundtrack to it. In this compilation are the creme de la creme of modern nocturnal classical pieces, with the exception of Khatchaturian's Sabre Dance. Here is the anthem of Manhattan itself, "Slaughter On Tenth Avenue" by Richard Rodgers, "Gavotte and Blues" by Morton Gould, "Fancy Free: Gallop, Danzon and Waltz" by Bernstein, "The Three Cornered Hat" By De Falla and the "Age of Gold Polka" by Shostakovich, a piece to help bring up images of an old string-marionette puppet show. However, for some odd reason, "Petrouschka" by Igor Stravinsky and one of the most beautiful melodies you'll ever hear, Gian-Carlo Menotti's "Barcarolle from 'Sebastian'" have been left off of this version of the album, to be replaced by the woefully out-of-place, (and totally mediocre,) "Estancia: Malambo" by somebody named Ginastera. This is a bloody shame, for the left out pieces really enhanced the feel of the whole album! Still, though, what is left will mentally put you in a cherry paneled den with subdued ligting, in a big red leather easy chair, puffing on the most aromatic pipe you own, (if you smoke,) reading your favorite Raymond Chandler novel. I can't recommend it highly enough! (The album, not smoking!)

By all means, beware of later incarnations of this album which were altered beyond all recongition, with only "Rodeo" and "Fancy Free" left on it, along with the title tune. It is NOT the same album! Somebody at BMG had the good sense to find THIS incarnation in RCA's catalog, which isn't TOO mangled, to represent Fiedler and the Pops at their finest, and market it in lieu of the latter mistake! The original, "Orthophonic" version, which included "Sebastian" and "Petrouschka", is, apparently, either still buried in RCA's vaults, or, regrettably, no more....

I often picture Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse traipsing down 1st Ave. to the best music on this album. The "Fancy Free" pieces would have made GREAT title themes for Tim Burton's "Batman " movies. (Okay, Warner's...remember me when you use that idea!)

If you lived through the fifties either as an adult or a child, or if you want to know what nighttime felt like in a good urban neighborhood between 1930 and 1960, GET THIS ALBUM!!

1 out of 5 stars THIS IS BAD.......2002-03-18

I THOUGHT THIS CD WAS VERY BAD. I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE IT AND I DON'T THINK ANYONE WILL. IT IS OLD FASHIONED AND NOT A GOOD CD FOR PEOPLE TO LISTEN TO NOWADAYS.

5 out of 5 stars Unique collection of Dances.......2000-03-27

I first purchased this music in vinyl record form in 1960. At the time, I was looking for a hi-fi version of Slaughter On Tenth Avenue and this recording was the only one available in town.

The title music was all I wanted it to be and it was pure serendipity to also receive the rest of the selections on the record. Some I was familiar with, but the rest have since become some of my favorite music. The fact that I am back getting a CD of the music helps attest to its timeless value. After almost exactly 40 years I am still not tired of it and am looking forward to being able to hear it again in about the clearest form possible. Now I will be able to listen to it in my car as well as at home.

Maybe it will help to know that I think Slaughter On Tenth Avenue is the best piece of American music ever composed.

My tastes run toward music with strong melody lines (such as Greig's music) and all of the selections in this disc meet that criterium.

5 out of 5 stars A nice collection.......2002-10-05

It's pretty much a matter of taste. You either like the tracks or you don't, and you can read 'em before you buy. There's no complaint about the quality of this recording--it's the first "best of-" collection I ever bought that I did not return because of lousy recording. There was no need to adjust volume or tone setting for different tracks as I have found to be the case on some other collections. The music was clear, and "punchy" not flat as vinyl recordings sometimes sounded when the recording engineers used to compress the dynamic range so they could fit more music on a disc--a trend that seems for no reason to have been carried over into the digital recording media by some companies.

This one was very well done, as I expected--it's from Sony.

I also got "70's Pop Hits [BOX SET]" (Sony), a three CD set, also very well done, with maybe a half-dozen duplications of tracks on "Greatest Hits of the 70's [BOX SET]." The "Pop Hits" set did have one track that was in mono, which wasn't so much a disappointment as it was just plain odd, considering how good the rest of it sounded.

I give them both five stars for the price and quality of recording.

3 out of 5 stars its playing live again.......2006-08-15

A mere two years after the (rather short but) excellent live outing "Derringer Live", on the heels of the band Derringers albums "Derringer" and "Sweet Evil", Rick Derringer comes up with another showstomper under the monniker "Derringer" again, which suggests being the name of the band but is unsure whether at that time that band still existed. After the 3 aforementioned albums that band at least dissolved and Rick Derringer picked up his solo-carriere. He then released the studio LP "If I weren't so romantic I'd shoot you" from which a few songs are culled in this radio broadcasted concert, on which only bassplayer Kenny Aaronson from the now defunct band is present, together with 2 new players on guitar and drums. Where the aforementioned "Live" was a real hard rockalbum, with plenty of guitarsoloing, this latter album is more straigth, run of the mill. Some oldies are present ("Let me in", "Teenage Love Affair", "Beyond the Universe" and of course the showstopper "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo", including excerpt from the Kinks' "You really got me" - that is long before Van Halen repeated the trick - are also on 1976 "Live"), "Roll with me" dates from his time with Johnny Winter, together with new songs, one penned and mainly performed by the rythm-section, another by Warren Zevon. Anyway, Derringer, being the sole musician or being the new band, surely could play a steaming liveset with lots of guitars throwed in. Even if half of this setlist is already recorded live shortly before it is enjoyable to listen to.

5 out of 5 stars This is what you call LIVE!.......2004-08-19

Have you ever wondered what a great rock concert would sould like captured on CD? Well pick this up and you will find out in spades!!!!!!!!
The wild guitar rock never stops on this album.
It opens with a Derringer standard Let Me In. Eventually you are led to Midnight Road, one of Rick's best songs and it sounds even better here live than it did on the studio album.
Plus check out Roll With Me.The intensity is so hot you'll be calling the fire dept.!!!!!!!

3 out of 5 stars Derringer Rocks.......2003-09-02

Taken during one of Derringer's best periods. This performance is not with one of his best lineups, but is definately one of his best song lists. If you appreciate "If I weren't so romantic...", You'll love the rare live versions from that Album here. Would rate the overall CD higher, but the other tunes are better on other compilations.

5 out of 5 stars DERRINGER ROCKS!!.......2002-06-24

EXCELLENT LIVE CD BY GUITAR GOD RICK DERRINGER. ALTHOUGH THIS LINEUP IS NOT THE ORIGINAL AND BEST DERRINGER LINEUP, MYRON GROMBACHER ON DRUMS AND NEIL GERALDO ON GUITAR AND KEYBOARDS (AND BOTH OF PAT BENETAR FAME) DO MORE THAN A CAPABLE JOB OF FILLING IN FOR THE DEPARTED VINNY APPICE (DRUMS) AND DANNY JOHNSON (GUITAR). ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THIS CD IS YOU GET 5 TRACKS FROM THE VERY HARD TO FIND ON CD "IF I WEREN'T SO ROMANTIC, I'D SHOOT YOU", AS WELL AS THE USUAL DERRINGER GEMS.
A MUST OWN FOR ANY AND ALL RICK DERRINGER FANS. BANDS JUST DON'T PLAY LIKE THIS ANYMORE.

4 out of 5 stars Essential Listening For All Derringer Fanatics.......2000-03-30

Derringer fans who have longed for his LP "If I Weren't SoRomantic, I'd Shoot You" on CD now have a partial reason tosmile. Most of the material from that LP is performed live on this CD. It's a shame Rick didn't do 'Monomania' in this set. Get this while you can.

5 out of 5 stars if you play guitar..........2007-05-07

You'll love this. How old was Danny Kirwan when this was recorded? 20? Man he could shake those strings. Peter Green isn't bad either that tone! Those blues riffs he just tosses out--how did he do it? And his scary lyrics..Oh, and Jeremy Spencer's wicked slide playing. Three great guitarists. And the rhythm section, uh ,oh yeah Mick Fleetwood and John MacVeigh. One of the only "jam bands" that doesn't bore me to tears. Cheers!
Almost forgot...as Jeremy asks, if you believe in prayer, please pray that Danny comes back to us, or at least finds peace one day.

4 out of 5 stars Great Live Album, but little disappointed.......2006-10-14

In Feb. 1970 the original Fleetwood Mac line up with Peter Green recorded three nights at the legendary Boston Tea Party. Vol. 1 serves up a generous 69 minutes of live music with a couple of extended jams (Rattlesnake Shake at 25 mins. and Green Manalishi at 12 mins.). I'm a huge fan of the blues and early Fleetwood Mac, but I have to say I was a little disappointed with the CD. While I think it is a great show, the recording catches the band at a point of tradition. Peter Green was starting to turn away from traditional blues and becoming more experimental pushing the Blues format in a new direction. That's fine and the music is great, but for folks looking for a live version of their original work this is not it. I much preferred English Rose and the album they did with Otis Spann. If I was to rate this as a prue blues album it would be only 3 stars. As a music fan that appreciates live music I give it 4 stars.

5 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE GREATEST CONCERTS EVER RECORDED! PART 1 OF 3.......2006-05-18

I will be doing three reviews on the legendary three part masterpiece albums by Fleetwood Mac: Live At The Boston Tea Party Parts one, two and three released in 1998. The distributor of these three part albums is Snapper Music Inc. I will also be editing these three reviews from time to time so you the consumer will get the best accurate review possible. This review focuses on Live At The Boston Tea Party Part one. These live recordings is quite simply, Peter Green at his absolute BEST! Part one along with parts two and three of Live At the Boston Tea Party should definitely be voted as one of the GREATEST CONCERTS EVER RECORDED. If you REALLY want to hear three skillful guitarists harmonize beautifully together and REALLY ROCK OUT, then these are definitely the albums for you. Many rock fans are unaware that the legendary Fleetwood Mac were already legendary before the mega star lineup of the beautiful Stevie Nicks, the beautiful Christine McVie, the gracefully multi-talented Lindsey Buckingham and the combined multi-talented masterminds and co-founders Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Once upon a time in the 60's, there were three extremely talented guitarists in Fleetwood Mac. Their names are Jeremy Spencer, Danny Kirwan and Peter Green. Out of these three legendary guitarists, only one would later be voted as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. That guitarist of course is the legendary Peter Green. Rock fans are also unaware that Peter Green wrote a song that would later be a signature trademark for another of rock's premiere guitarists: the song is "Black Magic Woman" by the great Santana. All three parts of Live At The Boston Tea Party highlight all three legendary shows recorded on February 5th, 6th and 7th, 1970. In Part one, all the songs are well performed but I will only review certain songs and not all eight. On part one of Live At The Boston Tea Party, Fleetwood Mac takes the stage and doesn't waste any time. The band begins with the legendary "Black Magic Woman". This live version sounds completely different from the version we are all accustomed to listening to by Santana. This version by Fleetwood Mac really rocks and explodes at the end. You have to listen to it to believe it. After "Black Magic Woman", Fleetwood Mac jumps right into the next song entitled "Jumping At Shadows". Part one's version of "Jumping At Shadows" (Unlike part three's version), is a little mellow but still kicks. The song "jumping At Shadows" is so haunting and disturbing that Peter Green pretty much pours out his very tormented soul through his blistering guitar playing. Peter Green's singing and guitar solo is absolutely breathtaking. Just imagine what Part three's version of "Jumping At Shadows" sounds like. Next, we jump down to the fifth song entitled "Rattlesnake Shake". "Rattlesnake Shake", another Peter Green composition (Co-writtened with Danny Kirwan), was also trademark song for the legendary Aerosmith. Part one's version of "Rattlesnake Shake" (Unlike part two's version), is also a little mellow but still ROCKING. "Rattlesnake Shake" (Like part two's version), clocks in at least around 25 minutes long and features some of the greatest guitar playing that you have ever heard. Next, we jump down to the haunting eighth and final song of part one entitled "The Green Manalishi". "The Green Manalishi", also a Peter Green composition, was also a trademark song for Judas Priest. "The Green Manalishi", as described in Peter Green's own words: is about his conversations with the devil concerning his battles over his tortured tormented soul and losing his frightening sanity. Listening to the lyrics of both songs "Jumping At Shadows" and "The Green Manalishi" closely, these songs truly define what would soon be the illness that would haunt and torment such artists as Peter Green and Brian Wilson to this day. The illness of course is called Auditorial Hallucinations. One of the most frightening symptoms of this evil illness is hearing voices or evil spirits haunting and tormenting you. You are probably asking yourself: What took so long for these three part albums to come out? Fleetwood Mac originally recorded these live shows in hopes of releasing the ultimate live album. However, the resignation of Peter Green from the original Fleetwood Mac lineup dashed and cancelled all hopes and the project was shelved indefinitely. There is no doubt that these three part live concerts would have been the ultimate live album and voted one of the greatest live albums ever recorded had it have been released as planned in 1970. Recordings of these breathtaking concerts were only available in "Bootleg" form with terrible sound quality throughout the 80's and 90's, but it wasn't until the late 90's that the original 8-track master tapes were finally found and digitally remastered with the HDCD recording technology process. In my opinion, TRUST ME, These three part "Live At The Boston Tea Party" albums are ALL WORTH EVERY PENNY! If you love the Blues and REAL Rock n' Roll, I DARE you to check these three parts out, you won't be sorry or disappointed. Thanks for your attention and reading my first of three parts of the "Live At The Boston Tea Party" reviews. I hope you read all of my reviews when time permits. Take care. J.L.

5 out of 5 stars Superb.......2004-08-17

Superb live album. I could do without the Jeremy Spencer slide guitar and 50's imitations, but Peter Green is top notch. The Green Manalishi solo is some of the best blues guitar soloing I've heard. If you like blues guitar, you must give it a listen.

5 out of 5 stars The Mac at it's improv. best..........2004-01-24

If you get this, get all the volumes. This will make you forget that little band from the '70s that sang Go Your Own Way, Rhiannon, and Don't Stop.

This is the original Mac, at its very best live.

Turn it up, and listen to the Mac blown your minds.

It is definately a Mac Attack!!!

4 out of 5 stars Lockhart's Debut Recording with the Boston Pops.......2004-08-13

RUNNING WILD is collection of Glenn Miller favorites and is Keith Lockhart's debut recording with the Boston Pops Orchestra. The musical quality is good. While it does not demonstrate the style that Lockhart would later develop with the orchestra, it certainly offers glimpses of what is to come. Perhaps the recording's strongest tracks are the musical numbers with guests: John Pizzarelli and the King Singers, especially the album's rendition of "Chattanooga Choo-Choo". One of Lockhart's greatest strengths is selecting guests to accompany the orchestra and this album is a foretaste of what is later to come, particularly on the Celtic and Mexican collections released later in Lockhart's tenure. While the album is good, and Lockhart seems to enjoy conducting these Big Band pieces, his rendition of "In the Mood" is missing something, which is surprising since this work is such a staple at Pops concerts, but even a not quiet the best rendition of any piece by the Boston Pops is still far better than much of what is available.

5 out of 5 stars "Runnin' Wild" will get you "In the Mood" for Big Band tunes.......2003-11-08

When John Williams stepped down as conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra after 14 successful seasons, the talented young Keith Lockhart was chosen as his replacement. Looking more like a college freshman than music director of one of America's most famous orchestras, Lockhart has proved to be just as adept and popular as Williams and the late Arthur Fiedler.

1996's Runnin' Wild is a collection of songs made famous by Big Band era orchestra leader Glenn Miller, whose civilian and later Army Air Force bands provided audiences with music to dance to (and love to) before and during World War II. Before his mysterious death in December 1944, Miller's band and featured vocalists gave the world such beloved swing standards as "In The Mood," "Chattanooga Choo-Choo," "A String of Pearls," and his signature theme, "Moonlight Serenade."

Listen to this album, close your eyes, and the Boston Pops Orchestra transports you back to the 1940s, with young men in uniform dancing with either their wives, sweethearts, or USO girls to the fast-paced "Runnin' Wild"...gently swaying the sweet "A String of Pearls" (featured in the film The Glenn Miller Story)...or sharing that last sweet bit of lovemaking to the slow beat of "Moonlight Serenade."

Of the 16 selections, "Moonlight Serenade" is the one I am most familiar with, having heard it as incidental music or "source" material in so many World War II movies or documentaries. It's slow, gentle, romantic yet sensual, and it's the only "Glenn Miller" song actually written by the bandleader. Originally titled "Now I Lay Me Down to Weep," it was a big hit in 1939 and was the theme song for both Miller's and Tex Beneke's bands. The Pops' performance of it captures its air of nostalgia perfectly, and the clarinet solo by Thomas Martin is simply fabulous.

Modern standards singer John Pizzarelli and The King's Singers show their stuff on several tracks, most vividly so in "Chattanooga Choo-Choo," which was another chart-topping hit for Miller in 1941, the year the U.S. entered World War II. Pizzarelli has a way of channeling the great vocalists of the era, with his easy-to-listen voice and flawless delivery. The King's Singers are wonderful backup in other songs, including "Serenade in Blue" and "(I've Got a Gal in) Kalamazoo."

As a soloist, Pizzarelli shines in the more romantic (and slower) "The Nearness of You," a song that might have been on a serviceman's mind when reading a letter from his wife or girlfriend.

Another sentimental favorite where Pizzarelli performs well is 1940's "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square," a song introduced in Britain and popularized not only by Glenn Miller but also Guy Lombardo and Sammy Kay.

Several genres also get the Glenn Miller treatment, such as opera (Verdi's "The Anvil Chorus," from Il Trovatore), vaudeville ("My Blue Heaven") blues ("The St. Louis Blues March") and even Russian traditional songs ("Volga Boatmen").

So if you want to get "In the Mood" and have a good time listening to a fun Boston Pops Orchestra album, Runnin' Wild is definitely worth getting.

5 out of 5 stars Great fun!.......2000-11-02

I bought this CD three days ago and it hasn't left my CD player since. There is nothing like waking up and putting on "In the Mood" to start your day, or listening to "Moonlight Serenade" to end it.

4 out of 5 stars Okay, but lose the cover.......2000-05-31

The Pops are a Boston institution. They have been a tradition for many and familiar to most. I have been to the Pops probably as often as to Fenway Park. I like both and find great comfort in each.

What happens with much of what the Pops attempt here is goofy. The cover art, is I presume, similar to the old Arthur Fiedler covers where he wore a funny coat or hat and tried to look less symphonic and more silly. Give it up.

The strength of the Pops is the traditional, predictable format and arrangements that are as easy to identify as your own child. That too is the unfortunate part of the Pops. There needs to be a little something new here.

So if you enjoy the traditional string arrangements and percussion of the Pops this will not disappoint you. If you are trying to get a youngster excited about this music you might more easily find an elevator and listen to the musak.

Classical arrangements, novelty music and patriotic songs are the best the Pops can provide. The swing music just doesn't do it for me.

Runnin' wild? Maybe with a walker.

5 out of 5 stars Swing at its best!.......2000-01-08

I'll tell you a little story about this CD from Keith Lockhart. I'm a baby-boomer brought up on swing and am constantly looking for quality big band recordings. I bought this album several years ago when it was first released and I loved it. Whenever I played it at home, my 18 y/o daughter gave me the business about my "old fogey" music. One day, however, I happened to come home unexpectedly and there she was in the family room with "String of Pearls" at nearly full volume. I bought her the album when she went to college and she says that she's since converted nearly half the dorm to swing. This is probably the best recording of big band sounds ever. Also look at "Pops Stoppers" which is half big band tunes and "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)". Both are excellent as well.
