Eric Clapton's first live album since 1992's zeitgeist-capturing Unplugged, is, as one would expect, full of well-tailored highlights from his back-catalog of bristly, well-kept blues. Recorded in Los Angeles and Tokyo during his 2001 world tour (the accompanying DVD is taken exclusively from the Los Angeles show), and featuring backing from the likes of Andy Fairweather-Low and Billy Preston, it's an album that serves to satisfy both Clapton purists (there's a four-song sequence of tracks from Pilgrim, shorn of their original anodyne synthesizer embellishments) and adult pop fans who prefer their blues from the decanter rather than the bottle ("Tears in Heaven," a sublime "Bell Bottom Blues," a rather poised, applause-riddled "Layla"). A Must have 2disc Live Album!!!!!.......2007-03-31

This is one of the best live cd's I've ever listned to!
All the songs sound really tight, You can close your eyes and imagine your in the same room with Clapton.
The guitar work is second to know. Mr. Clapton's voice sounds so relaxed and soulful

If you love classic rock. I highly recommend this great set from one of the best Modern guitarist who ever lived!

I am not an Eric Clapton fan. In fact I find him boring; but this is different. A friend of mine had this thing - and I asked who the hell it was. Eric Clapton - What, I said. This has got to be one of the hottest albums of recent times. Brings together old-style rock 'n' roll and the refinement of TV appearances with those super-polished studio drummers and bassists.

Two stars because it's EC. However, i kept waiting for this to get some heart and soul and it never happened. I have no problem with Eric finishing off with Somewhere over the rainbow, but I thought he was going to finish it off with a gut wrenching searing solo, ala "Ain't nobody's business..." but he never did. I like to think of this as "Eric Plays the Holiday Inn, Altoona PA"

This album is between the "very best" of Clapton!There are just 2songs "weaks", Tears in Heaven and change the world, but all the other 18 songs......are powerful and superb!One more car, one more rider....is a must for a eric Clapton fan!

A "must have!!".......2006-09-07

This is my favorite live cd & dvd by far. Bought it for myself & a friend and had to buy another copy for myself...just in case something should happen to the original--IT'S THAT GOOD. This version of BADGE is by far the best I've heard ever. It's hard listening to the original after hearing this--it is such a jam!! I was lucky to see this tour and "re-seeing" the dvd gave me chills! How he opens LAYLA is classic. Billy Preston singing WILL IT GO ROUND IN CIRCLES is a teriffic jam too. Again, you'll never want to hear the original ever again. Definately buy, you won't regret it.

One of the hottest albums by Eric Clapton.......2005-02-01

This CD is the hottest. Songs like Layla from Derek and the Dominoes to My Father's Eyes are some of the legendary songs by Eric himself.

I love this double set including the peformence of One More Car: One More Rider on both (CD and DVD) for a great price. Just to let all of you know if you would buy the CD, and DVD seperate you will spend more money if you buy this CD, and DVD set together you will save alot of money. Clapton hails his guitar on this one. A really cool song is Reptile, Change The World, and My Father's Eye on DISC ONE. On the second CD I really like Hoochie Coochie Man, also Layla. The DVD is better because you get to experience the performence close up. The DVD is more enjoyable than the CD. If you want the latest from the best Clapton you better prefer this one. Enjoy!

Well, I bought this album having only heard Wonderful Tonight, and Tears in Heaven. It was probably one of the best albums I ever bought. It is all live, and played fantastically. It's packed with solos, and is just an amazing piece of work. I could go on about which songs are so good, but I won't. Basically, if you like Clapton, buy the CD, it was well worth it to me. Cheers!
