They still had plenty of covers to fill out the running time, but the Lennon-McCartney writing team was gathering steam and beginning to knock out pop classics as if they were pulling them out of thin air. "All My Loving" and "I Wanna Be your Man" come from this record, issued hurriedly to capitalize on English Beatlemania. But even when they were laying into some classic Chuck Berry, by this time the Beatles had acquired a unique sound in the blend of John's and Paul's voices, while George was coming on by leaps and bounds as a guitar player. While not absolutely essential, as a snapshot of a band in a place and time, With the Beatles is good for a smile. --Chris Nickson --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.

Customer Reviews:
The first really good Beatle album!.......2007-06-14
'With the Beatles' (1963), was the first really good (almost great) Beatle album for me. Roll Over Beethoven, Money (That's What I Want), You Really Got a Hold on Me, Little Child, All My Loving, It Won't be Long and Don't Bother Me (George is my favorite Beatle) are among the best tracks here. But again, I'm not actually here to review the item at free will. I am compelled once again to state for the good of the listening public the differences between the UK and US Beatles album releases of the 1960s. 'With the...' is the REAL, OFFICAL, BEATLE-SANCTIONED version of the group's second album. (That is, to correct a previous reviewer, Amazon does have the right title up for the right album; this is the British (read:real) version.) In America, on the other hand, the album was released as Meet the Beatles, as most Americans would never have heard of them before (Capitol, the American record company, passed on releasing Please Please Me, the group's first album) and repackaged it to feature some of the songs from this album and material from the (in America) rejected Please Please Me. Along the way, new songs were also added in (recent hit singles), and many of the fine covers within lost to the US public, to be issued later on Early Beatles, another Capitol release.
In conclusion, With the Beatles is the album on this page, not Meet the Beatles. Also, as any REAL fan or purist will be happy to tell you, the British ones, the real, Beatle-sanctioned ones are the only albums that count, period. And as for this album, 5/5, if just for being such a great step up from Please Please Me.
Beware!.......2007-06-08
Though I am pleased with the CD, I mistakenly thought I was buying "Meet The Beatles". The covers look identical to the orginal LP, which apparently is not available in a CD.
Great Album from the Greatest Group.......2007-05-28
This is a four star album in that is does not come close to the classics that would follow in the Beatles catalogue. This was one of my first exposures to the Beatles and there really are some wonderful songs on this album. All My Loving is worth the cost of the CD alone. Enjoy.
with the beatles cd.......2007-05-21
fresh music from a legendary band that is easy to enjoy. This is truly one of the group's finest albums.
GREAT SECOND ALBUM!!!.......2007-05-07
Recorder and produced only four months after PLEASE PLEASE ME, this is an example of what a powerful guys the Beatles were; with seven LENNON-McCARTEY compositions, the first GEORGE HARRISON number (DON'T BOTHER ME, a nice tune), and six excellent covers (some of them better than the originals like DEVIL IN HER HEART and PLEASE MISTER POSTMAN), this album marks the tremendous effect of BEATLEMANIA; great songs like ALL MY LOVING, LITTLE CHILD and ALL I'VE GOT TO DO; beautiful ballads like TILL THERE WAS YOU and YOU REALLY GOT A HOLD ON ME, a number for Ringo (I WANNA BE YOUR MAN, great!) and much elaborated compositions like NOT A SECOND TIME... and this was only the beginning!!

Great for Baby and You.......2007-06-25
Not your typical lullabye -- fantastic to listen to at 1 month or 100 years.
Absolutely AWESOME!!.......2007-06-10
I am a huge Beatles fan, and so my children listen and enjoy them as well. My 2 1/2 year old absolutely hates to sleep. This CD has been so helpful because it is so soothing and relaxing. My son lays down now and sighs a few times until song #3 comes around (And I Love Her), listens to it, hums along, and then he falls asleep. Never fails!! I can't believe it!! I recommend this CD for all the Beatles fans and all those who have babies that refuse to sleep!!
A favorite in our house.......2007-05-17
This CD is GREAT!! We received it as a shower gift, and have been using it as part of our 2 year old son's bedtime routine since he was born. We dim the lights, put on this CD and read stories before nap time and bed time. The music is very soothing and relaxing. I even get a little sleepy when we're listening to it. I now buy it for all my friends who are expecting. I highly recommend it.
Gets an A+ from this Beatlemaniac.......2007-04-11
I gave this to a friend at a baby shower, and more than a year later, she told me that her little boy still insisted on playing this CD at bedtime. I listened to it while babysitting him, and it was so beautiful and soothing that it almost put *me* to sleep! I now give this to every new mom I know, and I will certainly buy a copy for myself when I have my first child. What better way to instill a love of the Fab Four in your little one?
I also like that you can pick a Pink or Blue album. My only "complaint" is that I wish there were a Green or Yellow album to give to the moms who don't find out what they're having ahead of time. I'm not too broken up about it, though, so I still give it five stars!
Not what it could be.......2007-04-02
I was hoping for a relaxing instrumental CD where we could enjoy our favorite Beatles tunes. It is relaxing, but I can't even recognize the melodies of the songs. If I don't look at the back, I don't know what song is playing. That's not what I wanted out of this CD. If you want a bedtime CD, this is great, but not if you specifically want Beatles tunes.

Could have been better.......2006-08-22
Not the best treatment of Beatles music from the classical point of view. London Symphony was much better.
awesome music.......2006-03-10
Hearing the Beatles music arranged in classical format shows what great musicians and composers Lennon and McCartney were.
AMAZING!.......2005-01-08
I cannot help but smile when I listen to the beautiful arrangements on this album. It blends the Beatles' genius for melody with the great percussive sound and incredible energy of Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops. I've heard other orchestral versions of Beatles songs, but none has compared to this one (if anyone has found a better CD, please post a note here). Any Beatles or Pops fan should definitely own this CD. I can't stop listening!
Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops do the Beatles.......2005-01-01
As conductor of the Boston Pops for almost half a century, Arthur Fiedler brought popular classical music and pop music with a classical twist to the people. Leonard Bernstein was providing an intellectual and more glamorous musical education for Americans, but Fielder was coming into our living rooms on a weekly basis with his Boston Pops concerts. Fielder and the Boston Pops produced a lot of records, mostly with RCA in the 1950s through the 1970s, most of which offered everything from classical overtures and ballet pieces to movies themes and the hits of the Beatles.
It was inevitable that with over a hundred albums the Boston Pops would do the Fab Four. They were the first orchestra to perform the songs of the Beatles in 1964 when Fiedler returned from a trip to Liverpool ("I Want to Hold Your Hand" was the first one they ever did). These are not just these songs played by a classical orchestra but rather arrangements done for this purpose. You will notice that one of the standard ways of arranging these songs is to use the chorus as the introduction for the song (e.g., "Eleanor Rigby," "Hey Jude"). If you can guess from the drumming at the beginning of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" or "Yellow Submarine" what those songs are then you are way ahead of me, but that is the sense of fun that Fiedler brought to these songs by giving them the John Phillip Sousa treatment.
Sometimes it is such the simple elegance of doing the guitar parts with strings, as with "And I Love Her," or even the staccato strings of "Penny Lane," that makes the songs enjoyable. Then there are the mood chances invoked by turning "A Little Help From My Friends" into a work of minor chords. My assumption is that if you pick up this album you will know the songs, but not these arrangements, so you should just forget about looking at the play list and just listen to the music.
There are a quartet of bonus tracks on the album, featuring live versions of "I Want to Hold Your Hand," "And I Love Her," and "A Hard Day's Night." These are not different versions of these songs, which is too bad because I thought it would be interesting to see if the Pops arrangers could come up with different classical ways of doing the same songs. The final track is actually Fiedler talking about how the Pops came to play the Beatles music, as a "novelty." I have not listened to this sort of music for a while, but it makes for nice background music and there are more albums out there. Remember "Saturday Night Fiedler"?
Some Moments - but doesn't live up to expectations.......2004-09-30
During the 20th century, Arthur Fiedler was one of the most celebrated conductors of orchestral music. He is most famous for being the longtime conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra. As someone who is a novice to classical music, I have found Arthur Fiedler's music very easy to get into. Namely, Fiedler made classical music easy - for the everyday fan to enjoy. One way Fiedler accomplished this is through doing popular tunes in the classical style. Fiedler's style often added a new gusto to classical music concerts by including not only popular music, but also Broadway tunes, jazz, folk, and advertising jingles - all done in the classical style (in the late 70s, he even did Saturday Night Fever tunes - 'Saturday Night Fiedler'). One might get very excited to hear that there is a collection in which Fiedler does Beatles tunes. I've always thought the Beatles' music would lend itself perfectly in the classical music arena - especially their later works. On this particular collection "Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra play The Beatles", it does have it moments where things work very well. However, overall this collection did fall short on my high expectations that I had.
There are several things that disappoint me about this collection. For starters, there is only a total of two songs from the Beatles best three albums: "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" has one song ("With a Little Help From My Friends"), The "White Album" has one song ("Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da"), while there is no songs from "Abbey Road". As mentioned above, I thought the Beatles' later material lent itself well to being played with an orchestra. These albums are really the cornerstone of this period, yet there is two songs between these three albums. I understand that Fiedler's "Play the Beatles" was put together in 1969, but I still expected much more of a presence from these albums. I think many of the tunes on these albums could have lent itself very easily to classical music. For example, songs such as "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds", "When I'm Sixty-Four", "Day in the Life", "Come Together", "Golden Slumbers", "Carry That Weight", "Birthday", and "Helter Skelter" would have sounded wonderful being played under the classics. I don't know if the Fiedler and the Boston Pops ever did these songs, but if they did - they should have been included. If they were done, it would be nice to hear them on an updated version of this collection. Some of these tunes are available on other classics collection, but Fiedler's Orchestra was the best at playing this music, so I would have liked to have heard it here.
The other thing that disappoints me are some of the selections themselves. Most of the tunes do keep to the sound you would expect from the Beatles, but some do not sound as good as I would expect. "With a Little Help From My Friends" just doesn't sound much like the original tune. The song that I consider the signature song by the Beatles - "Hey Jude" is an extreme disappointment - it just doesn't capture the magic of the original song. Songs like "Michelle" and "And I Love Her" do keep to the Beatles sound, but they somehow miss the mark. Perhaps these two songs aren't the best songs to be done with a Classical Orchestra.
However, this collection is not all bad. There are some positive points that do shine. There are several songs which surprise me on how well they sounded being played in the classical sense. "Eleanor Rigby" is one of those. You can feel a lot of power and emotion with that song. Another song that surprises me how well it sounds being played as a classical piece is "Penny Lane". Fiedler is also able to demonstrate a lot of power by playing by playing "Penny Lane' as a classical piece. In "Yellow Submarine", Fiedler puts a military and marching band spin on the song. It gives the song a whole new dimension. As for my favorite piece on the collection - it has to be "Fool on the Hill". Somehow I almost like "Fool on the Hill" played as a classical piece better than how the Beatles do it. Other songs that sound good are a couple of the Beatles' earlier tunes - "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "A Hard Day's Night"
It is worth noting that there are some live versions of these songs included with Fiedler's studio recordings. In particular there are live versions of "And I Love Her" and "A Hard Day's Night". There are also multiple versions of the same song included. You will hear three different recordings of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" (one from 1964 and two from 1969 - you will hear a change in tempo). There are also two versions of "A Hard Day's Night" (the live 1965 version and a 1969 studio recording). Counting the live and studio versions - there are also two versions of "And I Love Her".
It is also worth noting that on the final song (the third version of "I Want To Hold Your Hand"), there is a spoken introduction by Arthur Fiedler which is about 1 minute long in which Fiedler explains why he started playing Beatles music. The liner notes contain a one panel writeup by Peter Dellheim that discuss a little more background about the success Fiedler has had playing the Beatles.
Overall, this isn't a bad collection. I had higher expectations knowing how good a conductor Arthur Fiedler is as well as knowing how good many of the Beatles' songs would have sounded. This might appeal to the Beatles fan wanting to hear songs Classical, and possibly even vice versa - but if you want to go deeper with the Beatles being played classical, you may have to go elsewhere.

I love this CD!.......2007-05-07
I could listen to this again and again, and I have. It's definitely the better instrumental Beatles CD of the two that I purchased. It's our go-to bedtime CD. We are huge Beatles fans and this gives our little guy an introduction to the Fab Four.
Essential Lullaby CD.......2007-01-10
There is nothing cuter than a 3 year old singing "Jack-a-Roo." (Across the Universe). I got this CD for my sleepless newborn son. After three years of regular play, it is so good that I am buying it again as a replacement. (we accidentally broke the original). There is no singing, which is nice at bedtime, but you can sing along if you want (the words are printed in the insert if you forget). We sang these to our son, and he now excitedly recognizes the Beatles when they come on the radio and sings along. So much better than some of the annoying stuff that's out there for kids.
Our bedtime ritual!.......2006-12-22
this is a wonderful gift to give someone on the arrival of a baby. You can even get a blue or pink case for the baby's sex. Jason Falkner does a wonderful job playing Beatles songs in child-friendly tones. Since he was a month old, my 6 month old son listens to this every night while falling asleep. This CD would also be great to play as background music for a dinner party or whatever! Not too childish like Baby Eisnstein music is.
Great CD!.......2006-02-25
We had checked this CD out from the library over and over, so we finally bought our own copy. The beautiful music lulls my son to sleep every night!
These arent your ordinary lullaby songs!.......2006-01-04
Mr. Falkner walks a fine line transforming classic Beatles songs into children's lullabies. What is more amazing is that the transformation actually works and works well. For those Beatle-eletists who think that any remake of the bands work is blasphemy,I say to thee listen carefully before passing judgement.
When I originally purchased this for my daughter,I did so because I did not want just any old lullaby music for her to fall asleep to.You must first look at each song as a lullaby first,Beatles classic second. Each song was done with the utmost care and respect for the original piece. I being a music lover love this disc as much as it calms my daughter for night time slumber. It it very easy to catch yourself humming or singing along with these instumentals. It wins in both categories as lullaby and soft, elegant instumental cover. Difinately a win-win situation for me, it something nice and familiar for me to listen and as well as good songs I would like my daughter to be introduced to and familiar with in such material masquraded here as lullaby songs.

Customer Reviews:
my daughter loves this!.......2006-07-19
My 7 year old daughter loves this CD! So do all her friends. She listens all the time and it is our favorite sing along for the car. Of course, as an adult I like the real Beatles the best...but I was pleasantly surprised at how good these kids versions are. I don't understand all the "how dare they do this with the Beatles" stuff that some people blabber about. For me it works...my daughter loves it and now seems more interested in my other Beatles CDs, AND I much prefer hearing this over and over again versus some of the other kids music we have.
Not better than The Beatles.......2006-07-14
The songs are supposedly sung by kids, but some of them are sung so similarly to the originals that it's hard to tell. Not that it's BAD that the songs are similar, it's just that, well, it's just not an improvement to the real Beatles, so why not just get a CD of the Beatles. I also bought Beatles 1 at the same time, and my 2 yr old loves listening to it. Get that instead.
The Best Kids Music CD!.......2005-10-13
This is the best kids music CD we own. All three of my kids (ages 1 through 7) love listening to it. The best part of it is that I enjoy it too. Of course I have all the original Beatles records, but this CD does such a great job of introducing the kids to this music that it's fun for me and my husband too. Like another reviewer said, my kids weren't interested in the real Beatles recordings before. But after listening to this for a while, they are starting to enjoy both - The Bingo version and the originals. What a great idea. What a great album. I wish they would do the same with other groups. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
A gateway to the Beatles.......2005-09-11
This cd is a good introduction to the Beatles. While the original recordings of these songs are my preference, that wasn't the case with my two year old. She didn't take to the originals. So these versions provided the necessary gateway to the originals. The songs are recreated very faithfully, but with children singing most of the chorus'. This was what was needed to create the interest for my child. After a few weeks of listening a seamless transition to the "#1's" was accomplished.
Great Stuff!.......2005-04-22
I love this album. My kids love to listen to both the original Beatles and these versions. They especially love to listen to other kids singing! These versions seem to be made with the highest quality in mind and with respect for the orignal versions. After we got this album my children were dancing around and singing along. They request it over and over and the nice part is that it is also great for my wife and I to listen to (more so than other kids albums like The Wiggles). I highly recommend this album.

Album Description
Songs of THE BEATLES
with a Cuban TWIST.
Here Comes
el Son merges the spirit of The Beatles with the soul of Cuban music. It offers Beatles fans a rare bifocal musical experience: familiar Fab Four tunes rendered in grassroots Afro-Cuban rhythms. This musically rich CD also presents the music enthusiast with an exotic compilation of songs of the most famous Rock 'n Roll group in the world in styles never heard before.
HISTORICAL FACTS
Banned in Cuba during the early years of the revolution, Beatles music managed to break through and establish a following that endures to this day in Cuba. HCES emerges from that following as the FIRST record of Beatles songs played in traditional Cuban musical rhythms. It is also the FIRST record performed in English by Cuban musicians residing in Cuba.

More substance than not.......2005-04-21
I was surprised by this album overall, as there were new takes on classics. Some do fall a little flat for my taste. But the simple act of recording it and paying homage to the brits was revolutionary if you believe the history behind this. Some cuts are a bit abrupt, as the syncopation and melodics seem to work against each other in a frenzy of forced rhythm that is neither here nor there. But when they get it all together it's magical. A good effort, original... with the heart in the right place and the harmonies do it justice. Only a couple may trascend the original. I'll never think of hello, goodbye the same way again. And here comes the sun glows with the light of a caribbean sunset, with the strumming of the "tres". While And I love her gains a wistful sweetness.
Magnificent.......2004-08-23
Very warm, thoughtful and enjoyable. A gem. Has a "sad" longing sound, the players must really want to be in Havana -without Castro- to have inadvertely influx that sadness in their adaptation's dna.
A must have for Latin Music Lovers!!!.......2004-03-04
As a musician and a Lover of the Beatles and Latin Music, This
CD adds style and Flavor to several popular Beatle songs.
From the upbeat Afro drums of "Hey Jude", to the romantic blend of percussion in "And I Love Her" to the a capella rendition
of "Because" {all sung with a really nice Spanish accent}
The Beatles captured the sound of a generation, this CD caputers
the soul of that sound through diverse Latin arrangements.
This is truly a valuble part of my muisc collection.
Simply excellent........2004-02-17
Although making versions of already famous songs guarantees success, these musicians have paid due respect to them by accompanying the lyrics with beautiful arrangements. You'll be delighted.
Cuban Cheese.......2003-05-14
I'm usually a fan of "tribute" CD's, unfortunately I found this one to be a disappointment. A few of the selections have interesting rhythmic and acappella arangements, "Because" and "Hello Goodbye". But most of it just comes accross as rather cheesy. It sort of sounds like a Carribean cruise ship band recorded this. It could use a little more edge. Where's Ry Cooder when you need him?

Album Description
I have loved the Beatles since I started playing guitar in the late '60s. Over the years I have put together solo arrangements of many of their tunes, those presented here and many others. For this recording however, I have gone back and reworked these 15 tunes so that they are as complete as I can make them. With some, I have tossed out my previous arrangments and started over from scratch. They are all in their original key, which sometimes presented a challenge, but I thought it was important that these tunes, which so many people around the globe know, be in the register the boys from Liverpool recorded them... sb

Good for elevator music.......2007-03-19
I had high hopes for this CD. Maybe that was the problem. I had imagined this would be something along the lines of the cover tunes the Bartron Tyler Group does in their Beatles renditions. Granted BTG is a group, Stephen Bennett is one person, so there's a difference. The biggest difference is BTG makes the songs their own. Stephen Bennett plays the songs almost unfailingly note for note in the exact tempo they were done by the Beatles. I might as well listen to the Beatles doing them. There's no venturing out here, no stylizing. For me, this was a big disappointment.
Amazing!.......2007-03-09
What an imaginative guitar player. This is one fingerstylist not to miss. Many musicians who play Beatles music go for a new direction from the original arrangements trying to be fresh and innovative. It takes something special to take the song arrangements we've grown up with--the multi-tracked recordings laden with orchestral parts--and do them all at once with only two hands on one guitar. Hearing one man do that is, in my book, fresh and innovative. Anyone can think up something new. Try doing it the way we know it--solo--and in the original keys no less and you've got one hell of a great listening experience.
Most pleasing!.......2007-02-09
This is one of my new favorites. Stephen Bennett is a master of many voicings with the guitar. A must have CD!
Beatles Acoustic Guitar Solos (Stephen Bennett).......2006-05-26
This is one amazing CD!!! Stephen Bennett is a world class guitarist. You will not be disappointed. He plays georgous arrangments of Beatle songs. The only thing wrong with this CD is that it isn't a "double album". Stephen, please record more of the Beatles catalog!!!! (I have bought numerous copies of this CD from Amazon to give as gifts)
A great acoustic guitar album.......2006-03-24
If you are a fan of outstanding acoustic guitar, The Beatles, Stephen Bennett, or the less-known harp guitar, then you should check out this album. He's recreated some of the Beatles' greatest hits. It's often hard to believe that there is only one guitar being played (and only one track has two guitars) and that anyone could recreate the various parts (bass, melody, harmony, etc.) on a single instrument. This is Stephen Bennett in top form. It's a great album to relax to or if you're looking for some inspiration as a guitarist.

Album Description
Fried Glass Onions--Memphis Meets The Beatles is a celebration of The Beatles and of the city that greatly inspired and influenced them. Most of these interpretations have a definitive, identifiable Memphis twist. Daddy Mack Orr's "Get Back" is a stripped-down, blues rendition. Bob Simon & Eddie Harrison's "Two Of Us" sounds like vintage Sam & Dave from the Stax Records era. Most of these versions are either R&B or soul infused, although funk treatments of "The One After 909" and "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" take the groove a little deeper. The Memphis All-Stars version of "Drive My Car" is absolutely unstoppable and demonstrates the undeniable potency of a four-piece soul band. These 14 tracks represent a diverse pool of contemporary Memphis talent offering fresh versions of Beatles songs that will not disappoint even the most discerning Beatles fan. At the same time, proponents of classic Memphis music will hear Beatles songs like never before and will delight in knowing that Memphis music is alive and well. All of this material was recorded and mixed between June 24 and November 24, 2004, specifically for this unique tribute CD.

Awesome renditions!!.......2007-06-06
I received this CD as a gift and just two days into it I can't get enough of "Helter Skelter". I was not much of a fan of the original version but this one skoots! I'll be playing this CD for awhile..........!
Thanks Patty and Steve-o
Funking with the Beatles.......2007-04-21
I saw this band last night at the Gibson Guitar Factory Lounge in Memphis and was spellbound (and I am not easily entertained). I really expected to be bored but was awed. If you get the rare chance to see this collection of Memphis' best talent live, don't miss it, you'll have a ball. These selections are not note for note covers (and what good would that be?) but reworked Beatles smothered in Memphis funk. Some of the arrangements are startling innovative (ever heard a psychedelic flute or a gospel version of All You Need is Love?) and all are fun. The musicianship throughout is first rate. The cds are not the same as seeing Fried Glass Onions live but all 3 cds belong in any Beatle fan's collection. There are a few misses across the 3 cds--none of the cuts make you run to the player to skip them--but you'll return to the real jewels in these 3 cds for years to come. Get all 3, you won't regret it. By the way, I have no connection to this band and have never before bothered to write a review.
Happiness is...this take on the Beatles.......2007-04-10
Beatles fans are in for a treat when they load this disk into their CD players. Classic Beatle songs are sung & played as never imagined before. Listen to a soulful, haunting version of Blackbird by Jackie Johnson,or Two of Us getting the Sam & Dave treatment (by Simon & Harrison),a cool funked up rendition of She Came In Through the Bathroom Window (Matt Tudor)is lots of fun. Old Brown Shoe, The One After 909, and others are also all here on Volume One. In my opinion, there are a couple of misses. Notably Get Back is especially hard on the ears. Way overall though, if you love the Beatles, and can handle these twisted variations, by all means go for it. You won't experience a hard day's night listening to it.
Alas, I can't recommend Volume 2, but I haven't heard #3 yet, so there is still hope for more great music.
pleasant surprise.......2007-01-23
this CD would have been low on my radar except for some enthusiastic reviews from previous consumers. they were right that any beatles fan who likes good music would like this CD. having been to the rock and soul museum in memphis recently, i got the other two in this set, volumes 2 and 3. the first one is the best and the first to buy. i think this CD is a definite winner.
Most Are Great.......2006-03-15
Although there are a few cuts that I am not thrilled with, over all, this album adds some interesting cuts to my library, originally recorded by the best band of all time. It does have the Memphis feel throughout. Unfortunate that a few of the bands should have stayed in the lounges.

Anytime listening.......2007-02-03
Stephanie's voice is amazing both live and recorded. Sultry, sweet and haunting at the same time. Definitely outside of the box. I find this cd easy to listen to anytime of the day, especially while I'm unwinding. All the songs are beautiful and I have no problem listening to the whole cd without skipping through it. I have recommended this to all of my friends.
