Last remaining copies of 1997 UK box-set (currently out-of-print) features 63 of the distinctive vocalist's best tracks including his first UK #1 hit 'With A Little Help From My Friends' (two versions) & all his U.S. Top 40 hits , 'She Came In Through The Bathroom Window', 'The Letter', 'Cry Me A River', 'High Time We Went', 'Black Eyed Blues', 'Feeling alright', 'Midnight Rider', 'You Are So Beautiful', 'Up Where We Belong' & 'When The Night Comes'. The box is book-style and measures approx. 5.5 inches x 10 inches x 1/2 inch at the spine. It features tons of color photos and extensive notes on the tracks.

Not as familiar with Joe Cocker's overall output, I took a chance with this box set. 4 cd's worth? Would it follow the notorious pattern of other 4 cd sets? You know...2 cd's of great material(the box set "hook" if you will)...followed up by 2 cd's of filler and weak odds'n ends. Fear not!!
I decided to listen to this box starting with cd #4, then work up to #1. I was very surprised at the consistant quality of Joe Cocker's music through the years. Sure, the early stuff sounds,well...like the early stuff.The later like,well....the later! Nowhere did I feel I was being "bamboozled" with filler material. The whole box set smokes! This is truely all the Joe Cocker you'll need in one comprehensive package. I really like this guy, he's for real.

If you love Joe Cocker, you probably have most of these tunes already (as I have). I was pleased to find a few that I've never even heard, no less owned. The ultimate Joe Cocker collection put out to date.

Me parece que el arte vocal de Kiri posee muchas fortalezas y sòlidos atributos: brillantez, claridad, riqueza de colores, excelente fraseo, perfecta colocación y afinación, expresividad. Sin embargo, también carece de una mejor respiración para poder contrarrestar el excesivo vibrato que aplica a su canto. Sobre algunas de las obras interpretadas, recomiendo: Der Rosenkavalier: Schwarzkopf; Wagner: Kirsten Flagstad.
